I really enjoy shopping here for all of my metaphysical needs. I often go there at least a few times a month whether its for crystals, sage, incenses, singing bowls, etc. or just to take a little break from the outside world, its such a great place. The staff is so friendly and helpful and I feel safe when shopping here. If I have any questions whether it be about a crystal or a singing bowl, the staff is just right there to lend a helping hand. I really enjoy the atmosphere and seeing Gypsy (a cute ginger dog with a cute pink nose) walking around. The aura in there is just calming and welcoming. It is really a pleasure to have such a wonderful shop in Athens.

I love this store! My fiancé and I dropped in on my birthday a few months ago and a woman working the counter suggested we try on some hematite rings since they’d always draw us back together, she doesn’t know this but I travel for work. We loved the sentiment so much that we bought the rings immediately, been wearing them ever since!

I’m sad I can’t give a negative star review. A store employee verbally attacked my 16 yr old daughter today (Sunday) for wearing a Dukes of Hazard T-shirt. She and two of her girl friends had gone into the store to browse the crystal selection, from across the room an employee started to yell at her about her shirt. The T-shirt has a 01 on the front and a picture of the General Lee on the back (which yes, has a rebel flag on it). This employee yelled at her asking “do you know what that means?” My Daughter respectfully replied “yes ma’am” Repeating her question 5 more times each time the same response “yes ma’am”. There was enough drama over an 80’s T-shirt that the girls left. We will not be back. BTW, I support small business. Margo and her employees should try a little etiquette. Please leave the politics at the door. And yes, they wore mask. These girls were so excited to have a nice shopping experience.

Store was nice, loved the dog! I dont know much about crystals, but I was still able to enjoy the lovely atmosphere. Was one of my favorites, until one day when I got snapped at for wearing a backpack. Now, I wouldnt have minded if she had asked me to take it off. I wouldnt have even minded if she had been stern about it. But I would like to make it clear that she yelled at me AND my friend in front of around 10(?) people. This was extremely embarrassing, and we left shortly after.The owner (I presume) also told us about how someone had come in with a wheelchair and knocked something over.Again, I wouldnt usually mind because a backpack in a store with valuables was probably not the best idea, but a wheelchair?I would love to come back, but I defiantly think the store could use a remodeling or reorganizing just to be more accommodating to the disabled. There is a table right in the middle of the central walkway of the store full of valuable crystals, and I understand they might have a small area to work with, but a redesign or even just reorganization could do a lot for customer service and openness of the store!Otherwise, I will most likely be coming back (just not when I have a backpack on!) :)

I went there for the first time today, and absolutely loved the store. They have so many wonderful crystals, among other really cool things, and the employees were very sweet and welcoming. I will definitely be shopping there again.

Best deck Ive ever had. Sometimes it can get intimidating going into mystical shops because you dont want to feel stupid but they made me feel so comfortable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful little store with a good selection of stones, fossils, dried herbs, incense, small statues, etc. Had some super cool nautilus fossils and cute cute stone animals. Didnt have any money with me today but will be buying some stuff there in the future

My daughter and I visited yesterday and had a wonderful time exploring Margo’s store! We purchased plenty of crystals, stones, soap, jewelry. I also purchased a 3 card tarot reading from Margo that was right on point and amazing! She takes time with each customer’s questions and makes everyone welcome with a warm hello! Definitely a place, not just a store, to enter for a positive recharge! This place is absolutely lovely. The staff is friendly, and every time I go in they have fun, new, cool stuff! Candles, crystals and stones, jewelry, incense, beautiful boxes and containers.... just a wonderful selection. Theyre also still being awesome about masks, which is a bit hard to find. This is my absolute favorite shop in Athens! Every time someone new comes to town, I always take them to Margos, and am constantly going in myself to see whats new, and just because I love being in the environment. There is such a beautifully diverse selection of crystals and everything spiritual you could think of. Just standing outside her shop calls to you and makes you want to go in. When you walk in, it is like a utopia in every aspect! The owner hand picks almost all of the items in her shop and brings in so many precious gems from around the world. Even just talking to the owner for 5 minutes, you can see the passion she has for her store and the gratitude for all of her customers. When I was having some very freaky spiritual stuff going on in my own home, she personally gave me a remedy and showed me everything I needed. I LOVE Margos and will always be happy to spend my time and money here!

Me and my friend Chloe went up there today after I got off of a hard day at work. And honestly the environment was very calming I picked up some amethyst and Solimite because these gems were calling my name. I have to admit its my first time ever buying Crystals and my friend has got me into them now. And what a beautiful shop. And very nice workers.😊😊

I have never felt more welcome in a store than in Margos. The owner is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and the girl with the fun hair at the front is so kind. If you want to shop in downtown Athens, Margos is a definite visit. The prices may be a little higher than what youre used to, but I can say with 100% confidence that you get what you pay for. And if youre an animal lover, they have a dog named Gypsy who is an absolute angel!

My favorite place! I have yet to find a store quite like ms. Jill’s definitely recommend just even stopping by I promise you will leave with something you never knew you needed.

Love this shop! every time i have friends visiting from out of town, i always make sure to bring them to margos. the staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and make sure to answer any questions you have about products. owner jill and other members of the staff are also very knowledgeable, and make great recommendations if asked. the products are ethically sourced and genuine metals and stones, which is hard to find for such great prices. cant rate this place highly enough.

This place definitely has POTENTIAL to be phenomenal, but what makes it bad is the lack of reliability. the staff seems to do nothing but glare at you, and the items sold are not only mislabeled and overpriced, but a majority of them are fake. ive been to shops that have fake crystals that put (syn) for synthetic, which is totally fine. i understand not all genuine crystals are always available, but i just ask of shops to be honest. this shop has plenty of room for improvement and i hope they take advantage of that.

Great selection of all sorts of spiritual supplies and objects. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are very high for some of the smaller things (cage pendants, small laminated info cards).

It’s a really cute place, and the second time I went the girl working at the counter was really sweet. The only huge complaint I have is how over priced this shop is, for example $2 dollars for a tiny shard of a crystal that’ll definitely get lost 💀 otherwise it’s a really nice store

Love Margo’s! Great place to visit over and over as the products are always cycling, but keep consistent stock of basics like sterling silver and candles. I’ve found both employees pleasant and helpful and the girl with the rainbow hair is particularly knowledgeable about tarot and stones.

I am constantly traveling and visiting metaphysical shops all throughout the state. This is by far one of the most disappointing visits I’ve had. I hate to complain about prices, but compared to the rarity of their items, the prices are insane. Their products are also mislabeled, listing synthetic items as real items. The staff was extremely unfriendly too. If I could give zero stars I would. For people who understand metaphysical shops,, this store is a spitting image of tiktok girls who pretend to know what they’re talking about for attention.

I went into this store, because I love the vibe of it. They have very amazing, crystals and rocks. But I was soon very disappointed as soon as I walked in. My friend Lightly taped a glass container, with her backpack when she turned to look at something. The owner lashed out at us telling us to put our bags down by the door (they had computers and cash in them we where scared something would be taken) she explained that a lady in a WHEELCHAIR had knocked over a whole table of things. You would think, Instead of yelling at 15 year olds you would Maby move some things around to make it more accessible for the disabled. I no longer feel welcome in this lovely store.

I usually love this store and the “vibes” are always good but today... today was a different story. I came in with a friend and I could just tell something was “off” in the atmosphere. As my friend and I continued shopping I noticed the owner and one of her employees in the back room having a tense conversation. I tried to ignore it but the owner was persistent on talking to this poor girl. (in the most horrible of tones! The owner saying how the employee wasn’t being nice today and she doesn’t understand why she is being so rude. (Everyone has bad days! Duh!) I got ready to check out and the owner and the employee were arguing in the front of the store, the employee was trying to tell the owner to calm down and that this shouldn’t be dealt with right here- or in front of the 10 other customers in the store. The negative energy that was put out by the owner was unbelievable. I left and the employee was in tears... I don’t think I will be shopping here again until the owner can deal with things in an appropriate and private manner without humiliating and degrading her employees. Absolutely ridiculous.

Would love to visit, but I cannot wear a mask. I will have to travel a little further to find what I need. Your store looks amazing though!

Margo Metaphysical is the perfect spot for all your metaphysical and spiritual needs. Its the cutest and coolest shop in downtown Athens, GA. And they have such an amazing variety of crystals and supplies and all kinds of great things. The owner, Jill Furman, takes time for every customer and is very knowledgeable and intuitive. Prices are great! I saw some people get really nasty about the CoVid safeguards in place, which disturbed me. I appreciated the effort! We will definitely be going back!

Ive visited several times and Ive only had positive experiences!

The girl working was pretty rude and when I asked for help she didn’t help me and I had to ask again after standing there for a little bit. There was only three people in the store and they weren’t being helped. The overall customer service was very poor.

Kelsey and the owner are so helpful! Ive only ever been able to say good things about this place! They both know exactly what theyre taking about and are always so helpful. If you arent sure what something does, its properties, reasons why to get it, or how it would look, this is the best place for it. Ive never had better customer service anywhere else and never have I felt more welcomed. They also have this sweet golden retriever who is calm, keeps guests company and is very quiet. She accepts pets and nose boops! :)

I’ve purchased things from this store a couple of times since it’s the only metaphysical store in the Athens area but after today I will no longer be giving the owner my business. She verbally humiliated an employee by insisting he was “doing nothing important” and using a nasty tone with him in front of customers. According to the reviews similar situations have happened before and it seems the owner likes to make excuses for her actions by saying she has a standard she expects for her employees and she “experiences negative emotions”. This is understandable but also highly unprofessional to handle these issues in front of customers.

I was in the store for exactly 22 minutes. Not once, not even upon entering, did anyone speak to me or acknowledge my existence until I was ready to make a purchase. The store is very small with the register in the middle making it very easy to see customers. When I entered there was 3 people near the register. One lady was talking about how she was hurt her sister no longer speaks to her because she took her off a Facebook page she made. (I hope she works things out with her) then she talks about people asking about a certain item and if one more person asks she was going to hang up in their face. Next she speaks about how she invests 30-40 hours training college students and after they train they just leave. All very frustrating situations but maybe acknowledge your customers first then proceed to gossip. I stood at the counter for a full minute as 3 employees continued to chat before someone asked if I was ready to check out. I hope they improve on their customer service because they have so many items I’m looking for.

Visited the store today for the 3rd time and was excited to show it to some family members who had never been. Several of us were planning on making purchases, but as we were shopping we were told by the owner that the store was getting full and gestured for us to go basically. We were so dumbfounded we just all headed out the door. Lost several sales from my group today!

First of all this place is known for selling fake moldavite but she also insisted on my little cousin to buy a price anyone who actually understands crystals and is spiritually educated should know to NEVER insist someone to buy moldavite especially when they have never owned a crystal!!! It can make your life take a 180 and you have to be prepared for that! He is only 16!!! This place is a joke I would give 0 stars if I could...

Hi, I am unable to respond to the person directly, but I felt the need to address this misconception. I have been shopping at Margos,for,a while,now,& I love it & the people!! A few,days ago,I went to Margos looking for some moldavite. When I found it, I was given lots of information as well as the staff telling me that Moldavite is a very strong and high vibration stone that not everyone is ready for it. The Moldavite I bought and saw was,in fact genuine and no one forced it upon me to buy it. I honestly was met with caring and support. 10/10 recommend and 100%trustworthy ✨

Absolutely love Margo Athens and all of the fabulous things at this store. Literally I could stay and browse for hours. Theres such a variety of things to choose from such as Himalayan salt lamps, handmade crossbody bags, healing crystals, beautiful jewelry, sage, tarot cards and so much more. I think my review would be too long that no one would read it if I tried to include all of the amazing traits of Margo but this is a must visit store in Athens! Its great, the staff is wonderful and its a staple of the community being local and a small business.

Went for the first time yesterday after my best friend raved about it, we decided to go! The guy was so nice and held several items for me so my hands could be free while shopping away in there. Fantastic selection of gems, stones, jewelry, etc. Prices are awesome too! We even had our toddlers in strollers with us and were able to browse without any issues. Will definitely be back soon.

I love this store! I work nearby and we love to stop in and visit Gypsy (Jills puppy). Mid day puppy breaks are the best! She has lots of fun things and great gifts in her store. I can always find what I am looking for and she is very helpful when I need ideas for a unique gift.

Wonderful metaphysical store and was certainly worth the drive from gwinnett. The young man on staff was very nice and helped with several items that I needed for my alter room. Will definitely make the drive again with some friends.

Horrible shop owner. Ive shopped there on multiple occasions and despite my business to her she has constantly treated me with fear and paranoia instead of operating from a place of love and respect. When Ive tried to ask about her store and products she has gotten frustrated and offended and told me that I should just use Google and that I was inquisitive. Her daughter and her talked behind my back and despite this I gave them the benefit of the doubt and completed my purchase. So, despite me having spent my hard earned money in her store she has been unwelcome to me. Going so far as to be suspicious of me wanting to steal from her. First of all, I have no reason to steal. I get my money and I spend it like everyone else on my needs and wants. I dont know how she treats everyone else but I wouldnt be surprised if me being black had something to do with it. But hey, welcome to the South. The irony is that this a metaphysical store. The higher frequencies are of love and light, but here the store owner still seems a little... I dont know... 3 D to me. Its time for an upgrade.Edit:One last thing I forgot to mention.i almost didnt want to say anything because of how shocked I was but hey... The people should know.. One of the last times I was in this shop, her granddaughter was there. Ive heard her make mention of not being racist... Because how could she with her granddaughter being half black?(whole nother story, I guess she rants and raves to her customers alot) I had a chance to see the child while shopping around... Before I left this woman whispered the most OUTRAGEOUS nickname to the Baby... Can you guess? Thats right... My little monkey. Now its 2019 and I understand we are coming together as a people... But some stuff is still a big fat NO NO. she will tell you that her daughter was a gymnast and shared the same Nickname. So if you ask her about it, watch what she says... Smh

Extremely rude, unprofessional, and unpleasant!Ive been in this place quite a number of times over the years and I had always loved it up until last week. A friend of mine and I stopped in because shes fairly new to the area and I wanted to pick up some crystals and show her around the place. After looking around, my friend found a crystal she really liked and went to pay for it.The woman behind the counter started talking with us about life, and it went really nicely and friendly at first... until she found out my friend was married to a man in the military. Not even a second after, the woman very loudly proclaimed in disgust, Does THAT mean youre a REPUBLICAN?!My friend laughed nervously and said, no, she wasnt and that had nothing to do with anything anyway and the woman went off about how she hates the military, hates republicans, and spent another few minutes rambling off about how my friend must not recycle, hate the environment, and so on.This is DURING my friend purchasing an object from this womans store.After the purchase, the woman started telling my friend that she /must/ sign up for the eco-friendly club because theyre saving Athens from the military republicans and it would redeem her and her husband. That same time the womans puppy escaped from the back room and jumped on my friend and tore her keychains off her bag. The woman said and did nothing.We very quickly left.This was one of my favorite places in Athens and Im extremely disappointed that someone there would even think it was ok to berate ANYONE, not just a customer... especially for completely false assumptions about her character. Im angry that one of the places that screams peace and love would be so vile.Im never shopping here again.

Loved the store, but disliked the workers dog. The dog bit my expensive jacket and of course I couldn’t do anything until she told him to back away, but I was very angry since it was a Burberry jacket.
