I had a broken spring on my garage door and despite being late on Friday afternoon they were able to send a technician out to service my door. Mr Todd Wells showed and was able to see what the issue was. We discussed all the options and recommendations and decided on the best course was to replace both springs and rollers. Todd said the job would take about two hours and that he had all the parts to do it right then and there. It actually only took him an hour to finish the job. Todd did an excellent job and was very professional and friendly. If you need work in the Palestine/east Texas done I highly recommend Overhead Garage Door and Mr Todd Wells!

OGD took care of me when I was in a real pinch. Starting with Justin Samuels who secured a new garage door when other companies were telling me that I was facing a 22 to 24 week lead time. Then Travis Hilton came out and did a solid job of both installing my (expensive) Clopay insulated garage door AND followed up to service it when it was getting stuck. Everyone tells you that they are customer service focused. Samuel and Travis actually deliver and live up to this ideal. Today I received service on my garage door with a spring replacement. Ted Perdue, the service repairman, replaced the spring quickly and accurately. He took the time to educate me on the problem, replacement and repair. Ted also added a OGD sticker with his name, the work order number, and a contact number so I could request Ted’s specific service at my next appointment. Additionally, I placed my service request through the OGD - Athens, TX website, spoke with an OGD operator for scheduling and Ted arrived within 4 hours of my request for service. One star is generous...it wouldnt let me do zero. Back a few months ago I called to repair a garage door for my elderly tenant. The tech did the repair and based on my tenants interest, showed her a new $700 opener. Even knowing the opener was double the norm - I reluctantly approved the install. After a few months, the door started to malfunction. I called OGD and the same tech and helper came out. He quickly determined the eye or sensor was slightly off and bent it back. I said I would go get a check for the $35 service call charge at which time he said it would also be an additional $85 for labor. I told him I thought that was not reasonable based on only a few minutes and simply bending the sensor and the $700 opener was under warranty. He immediately became extrenely abusive - complete with yelling obscenities about people expecting him to work for free and stealing food from his family. I have to admit, I was in shock and a little scared. I am not accustomed to having a repair person treat a customer like that. I told him I was willing to pay the agreed service charge at which time he said I could just have a broken opener and proceeded to almost rip the sensor off the wall PLUS he deprogrammed the opener and drove off. Who does that??? Sadly, I called and texted the company twice and never heard a word back. I can not imagine that a customer oriented company would employee a technician like this but even more shocked that they would fail to even follow up on the situation. Would NEVER use this company again and would caution others to think twice. Its too bad because they probably have some very capable technicians in their employ but seem to have difficulty taking care of a really bad apple.

Marcs and Samuel arrived on time and quickly figured out the problem. I have used OGD since I bought my home in 2019. They have been easy to work with and quick to respond which means a lot to me.

These guys were prompt, professional, and able to fix my garage door that had gotten in a bind and bent up the door and the support bar that hols the chain. It looks and works great now. He even greased the other door at no charge. Will definitely use them again. Thank you

Prior comments somehow removed. These folks repaired my door satisfactorily. However in doing so they broke the light. It worked until they arrived. I called just knowing they would do the right thing. The said they don’t do electrical work. You broke it get someone who does. Now, no reply. In my opinion they can’t be trusted. BEWARE

I called about a spring replacement for my garage door. I asked for an estimate over the phone and they said they would have to send a repairman to look at it. They gave me an estimate of $599.00 which is probably about $200-$300 more than it should be. Reluctantly I okayed the work so I wouldnt have to take more time off work to receive another estimate. About the repair...you have to assist the garage door to get it to lower all the way. This was not an issue before. I called OHGD back to look at it and they sent another tech out. We were unable to replicate the issue and the tech left without any adjustments. I still have issues with the garage door lowering 50% of the time.

Quality work, worker(Hector was his name) was on time, fixed the problem, however, I thought work was a little pricey.. overall I was satisfied with the job done..

Fixed the tension on garage door quickly & even adjusted a few things to make it quieter.

Changed to 1 star because 3rd garage door sporadically fails. I have to manually pull down the door. Not an easy task in hot summer temps for a 5’4” 60+ yr old woman & fiddling with it for a few minutes. I have called them, they very reluctantly came out & ‘fixed’ it.I live the doors, service is ZERO.We are very satisfied with our experience with this company. We have two beautiful garage doors that work perfectly and are exactly what we wanted.

I dont even want to leave a 1 star. I own a business myself so I take most reviews with a grain of salt. It could be someone having a bad day or the are some people you just cant make happy.I called for service in April. They came out very promptly. No problems. I pay my $35 service call which would be refunded if I placed an order.He tells me we should get a total new door AND MOTOR. He says, Call overhead and tell them you want to order a door. I do, this is where the problem starts.I have a work order # that states motor and door.So I call, the ball gets dropped for about 3 weeks, multiple emails and calls. Finally Andrew and I get it nailed down. He was trying to help me that day to get it ordered.So because I didnt tell Andrew that I needed a motor, which was stated on the orginal order. I received no motor. Thats a different department. The sales office doesnt look at the work order.I was told because that was 2 different departments, it was my fault that I didnt get my original order, because I didnt tell them, when I assumed they were looking at the work order.One department doesnt know what the other one is doing. And thats my fault....Besides the $2000 I played in full at time of purchase, for a discount. I had to ask for my service fee to be refunded.And I was told this has never happened to anyone else, Im the only freaking idiot out there. Oh and I didnt get the door installed till June 6th, by a man from Dallas that could hardly communicate with my husband.

One of our tenants was not able to open the door to the garage - it no longer worked and it was not the battery in the remote. Called Overhead Door and they came right over and repaired the problem, corrected the wiring and reprogrammed the motor. Reasonable price, good service.

‎06/‎09/‎2017I have been trying to resolve this for 4 month. This company Overhead Garage Door LLC is not going to do anything. I have three text messages and a BBB message saying they are going to give me a full refund. They installed a Garage door in my home so poorly that the Manufacturer had to void the warranty and send me a new door They damaged my home used old parts and left off critical bracing. They are not accredited by the BBB and are not listed on the door manufactures Web sight as a preferred installer. I recommend you check out the Door companys Web sight and use one of their listed preferred installer.

I’ve used AOHD twice now in 2 years. Both times, they’ve showed up promptly, and didn’t take all day solving the problem. Highly recommend.

Called this company out to repair garage door. It wasn’t closing properly. They came out 2 weeks ago charged 220 and it didn’t work right. I call back today and they said any repairs would be billed for. What a joke.

I called them on Saturday because my wifes car was stuck in the garage and I was out of town. They sent a repairman out and he fixed the door on the same day. Great local business.

I have had a lot of trouble with my garage door and have it repaired by a couple different outfits. Long story short the repairs didnt work so I had to replace it. I called these guys on a Saturday when the door completely stopped working. Dad gum thing wouldnt shut! I called and my call was forwarded to the owner Bret who dispatched someone out right away to get it replaced. I repeat. I called them on a Saturday and they responded. Never done seen nothing like it. Everyone from this company i chummed with was nice and respectful. Bet your bottom dollar i recommend these guys.

The punctionality of the service call was great, service man was very courteous and professional. The cost of the replacement spring was overly priced. They were sold separately with each being priced @ $165.00 dollars total pricing was $ 330,00 dollars which is equivalent to 1/3 the price of garage door itself $1,200 dollars.
