I had to wait to give a review until my other half gave me my ring! From the start we wanted a very custom ring, skulls and diamonds, and Becky went above and beyond to help us! She was always very nice and responded in a timely manner! It was supposed to take up to 6 weeks for it to be made and we got it back way sooner than that! My husband and I came in today to have an emerald set that my dad brought back from Columbia 40 plus years ago. We wanted it set with our birthstones set on each side (they are the same) I have been in several jewelry stores but Hobbs was the BEST experience I have ever had! They made you feel just as important and wanted as if you were spending thousands! Mr. Hobbs offered us refreshments and Rebecca(I think I have her name right) was wonderful! Made good suggestions and made us feel comfortable. I highly recommend them for your jewelry purchases-they are well worth the drive, even in the cold and rain in the holiday season like it was today! They even cleaned my wedding set and my ring will be ready next week!! I’ll update when I see the beautiful results!

Hobbs jewelry is basically the only jewelry store I go to they are friendly and actually work with their customers. I been very pleased with them, especially the repair of my jewelry. I’ve been to Hobbs Jewelers twice since I moved to Athens. The first time I needed a ring repair because my engagement ring had snapped, and the second time I need my wedding rings re-sized after my pregnancy. During both of my encounters, the staff was very helpful and friendly, even interacting and talking to my baby. Each time they cleaned my rings and made them look brand-new, even though they’re over 20 years old. I will always go to Hobbs for any of my jewelry needs, and I will recommend them to all of my friends! Thank you for making my rings beautiful and brand-new!

I went to Hobbs Jewelers in Athens hoping to get decent pricing on having my wifes wedding band and engagement ring repaired.I was helped quickly. Upon inspection of the rings and suggestions, I was pleasantly surprised to find out their price was less than half of what a competitor had quoted me.I just picked up the rings, on the day they told me they would be ready, and they are perfect. The issues were addressed, and the rings look new.They now have my future business.

Got my girlfriends (now fiances 😉) engagement and wedding band. Hobbs service was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. I started with bringing her with me so she could look around. They were not pushy at all, instead they focused on finding something she liked. When I went back to get a price they beat everywhere else I was looking, and still were not pushing me to buy it. The only negative, which was not really their fault, my fiancés ring was sized a bit too big so we needed to get it resized. I definitely recommend coming here, great service and atmosphere .

My husband paid a decent sum for my surprise new wedding ring. It took a month to get my ring from being sized and sautered together. Then the light holes for the diamonds they drilled were sloppy and out of line. Then the second band they ordered and sautered to the band was actually a size smaller than my actual ring. The first week a diamond came out. They fixed it. A month and a half later second diamond gone and the band that was too small fractured across the bottom. My complaints were laughed at by the owner because he could “not see the issue.” NOT the “quality” you expect from Hobbs Jewelers. Beyond disappointed.

Where to begin. I had been searching far and wide throughout Huntsville area for an engagement ring. I believe I went to just about every store in town when a coworker told me to make the drive out to Hobbs. I went out there and instantly felt like family. With purchases this large I like to sleep on them for a couple nights before and make sure Im getting the best deal possible. Not only did they build me the most beautiful ring Ive ever seen but they put up with my constant nagging and negotiating (Im not an easy sell). I cannot say enough good things about this company. Great prices, extremely friendly staff, and ZERO pressure.

I called to have my diamond upgraded and spoke with Tammy. I asked her to look for the diamond I found on their site. She called me in several days and explained that they stopped recognizing the diamonds I wanted on their site and would remove them at all. She offered me another diamond GIA certified and I asked if they could give me a discount as my husband spend a lot of money with them for my engagement, pendants, pearls and rubies. It took her several days to respond back saying no. Then I agreed to purchase the one with higher price; as we moved to Florida I asked her to email me the certificate and papers for purchasing. She called and said the diamond was sold and I needed to look myself on the site as she didnt want to look for it herself. I called back as I found another diamond and asked her to email me the documents for the purchase for me to make the transactions. She never did. Still waiting weeks afterwards. Really? I have to beg to spend thousands of dollars with you?! You are that caring for your customers?! Daria

I had wedding band resized and it broke where they cut it. I took it back and they fixed it (no questions asked). Well it broke again 2-3 years later in the same spot. They said the warranty was expeired and I had to pay to get it fixed. I asked if that was normal and they indicated that things wear out like parts on a car. I requested if they could reduce the cost to fix it and they said it would be a slim chance.When I have been there before, they were really helpful. I think that I will take my business elswhere.
