I worked at Texas roadhouse in east state street that shared parking with the marker.. it was nice to walk around and check out a wide variety of produce, arts and crafts, along with the stars that would prepare foods to be sold there to be eaten.. Athens is a very reverse town and the market on state showcases that deversity

We had a great time at the farmers market here. Lots of great jewelry, pottery, food, and produce. Support the local farmers and craftspeople!

Was a good experience with good selection. Then went to roadhouse and had a great steak and a good tequila drink.

Its a nice establishment but pick up can be exhausting at times but the food is great and the employees are very respectful.

Sad To See How Dead This Place Is Anymore Compared To How It Was Years And Years Ago. It Used To Have Stores In Every Spot. Now Its Few & Far Between. But Glad To See There Are Some Places.

Theres not much in there. Really never has been. Idk whether rent is too high or Walmart ran the places out. Athens needs a target or Sams club.

The Market on State is one of the more disappointing malls one will come across. Sure theres a Bath and Body Works, but that is the highlight. The center of the mall is the shell of a former clothing retailer, Elder Beerman, which serves as the perfect temporary storefront for the annual Halloween USA to pop up.

Very dull with the lack of businesses and the government offices are foverly full and have ridiculous wait times. Customer services stinks. Good luck if heading here anytime soon. Allow plenty of time for yourself.

Loved this place the first time I ever walked into a Texas Roadhouse. Now we have one in our town and it is fabulous. Steaks are always cooked the way you order them. Keep those ribeyes coming.

The food choices have become normal with many of the smaller shops going under because of Covid, but this area is still a great place to bring the family... especially Athena Grand.

Went to bath and body works before x mas they had limit on how many could be in store. Didnt have to wIt long in line at all. Im at dunhams 3 times a week or so and never had bad experience.

For those of us that dont live in Athens, the Market on State consists of three big attractions - Tractor Supply at one end, Texas Roadhouse in the middle, and the Athena movies at the other end, with some other stuff in between that we dont pay much attention to. When I get a hankering for Chinese food the little place in the middle of the mall front gets the job done. When I get a hankering for BBQ I make my own.

Shopped @ Gordmans for last minute gifts.Very happy with amount of items, compared to overall price paid! Easy to earn $ off coupons, 20% off any item, not top mention clearance priced merchandise in each section of store!!! Definitely plan to shop here again!

Would be better if they had more small stores in-between the Anchors. My friends and I always used to go to Super Retro Land when it was there, but they relocated to Parkersburg due to low traffic. China Buffet still soldiers on, and Im proud that they have because their food is great. However, they really need to increase their selection. Theres more tables that sit empty most of the day than there are tables for food.

This place is great. If you go into the nooks and crannies at the stores you can find a real bargain. Got 2 pairs of shoes for less than $30 for both pairs. Double checked on line, these shoes are $80 a pair!! Fantastic!!!

Im giving it 5 stars to hopefully bring this place back to what it was years ago. This place was a ghost town around Christmas. Years ago you would have a hard time even walking in it around the holidays.

Locally, everyone refers to it as the local mall. But it’s probably one of the emptiest and most disappointing malls in the state of Ohio. Honestly, there’s no good shopping at all.

Not many shops left.

We love going here for meals and to find things we need shopping wise. Friendly staffs and well priced.
