They have a marketing scheme on Facebook claiming special trade values and financing. I was reassured 3 different times in the online chat that that they had the vehicle in stock on the lot that I was looking for, only to find out that day that they didnt. Luckily I called that morning and spoke to someone else before traveling over an hour to buy a new car that that didnt have. Tried to talk to them about their financing and if they would be getting the new vehicle I was looking for any time soon. Clearly I understand COVID has impacted this industry, but the guy was rude and I was clearly a waste of time for them. Wont be wasting time with this company in the future.

AVOID! Once they have your money they will no longer help or care about you. They only care about making a sale and will tell you anything you want to hear to make it happen including lying. I called them out on lying about a vehicles condition as well as lying that the service department inspected it and said it needed nothing as well as had no aftermarket parts. When I discovered it had all of its emissions system removed, illegal aftermarket exhaust modifications, as well as rust through a good portion of its frame the salesman didnt care. They wouldnt refund my money or help in any way. The manager simply pointed to the as is part of the contract.

BUYER BEWARE! UNSAFE VEHICLES! We were going to purchase a truck only to find the bed frame was completely rusted through. So much so I could move it off the truck with my bare hands. Also, the tire was bare and had cords exposed and the spare was conveniently missing. We passed on that purchase and all should carefully inspect any vehicle they are selling because they were not truthful about the true condition of the vehicle.

Best experience Ive ever had at a dealership. They are fair honest and up front. I got my truck at the price I wanted and didnt have to spend hours haggling. During the final walk around, we found the automatic side steps didnt work on one side. They BOUGHT and INSTALLED NEW side steps that look amazing on the spot. They also gave me a very expensive HID bulb for on of the headlights that went out during the test drive.** 100% would recommend purchasing from this dealership. **

BEWARE FALSE ADVERTISINGCalled and specifically asked about a truck for sale. Asked if it had any rust, if there were any after-market parts, and if it needed any work done. We were told it needed nothing, had some body panel rust that was simply cosmetic issues only, mechanically sound with no after market parts. The salesman told us he had checked with the service department about all of this. We put a deposit down, taking their word for it as we saw no issues noted or depicted in the listing, and drove 6 hours to pick up the truck. We arrived and as we were inspecting the truck found many issues: the truck bed frame was completely rusted through and two cross members were actually missing...we could literally move the whole bed up and down a good six inches with one hand...; there were multiple after-market parts easily noted that not only made it unable to pass inspection (PA state inspection) but also illegal to own; the rear right tire was completely bald to the threads making it unsafe to drive (especially since there was no spare tire); the rocker panels were rusted through with holes almost through to the cab, among other smaller repairs needed. They would not budge on price so we respectfully asked for our deposit back. Despite having misrepresented the vehicle to us both online and over the phone, they still refused to refund our deposit.

Couldnt find any large SUVs on either lot...just trucks and cars and a few small SUVs.

I have had 3 family members come here for trade-ins. One of them had a 2010 Ford F150 that Ridenour previously offered around $3,000 for and Don Wood gave him $7,000. The other 2 had older vehicles and were also offered decent trade-in values. All 3 were able to get something they wanted for the price range they were looking for. The staff is friendly and helpful and overall had a pretty good experience. Would recommend to anyone looking to get into a new/newer vehicle and/or trade in their own. We had Mike and he seems to be a decent guy. He was really good about communicating back and forth and helping with any questions or concerns that we had.

No one came out to help, probably bc it was raining? Looking to buy a Ford Explorer, ended up getting a Chevy Traverse 🤷🏼‍♂️

I made the mistake of trading in my truck for a car at this lot. They convinced me that my truck wasnt worth more than $900 because of a discrepancy w/ the mileage on the title. I had just bought the truck for $3,500 2 months prior. I later found out that the odometer issue does not decrease the value nearly as much as they claimed. Also, I didnt notice that the tires were completely bald and the breaks rusted away. Thats mostly on me for not being more savvy. But shame on them for selling a car in dangerous condition. The part that makes me absolutely livid however, is that I bought the car almost 2 months ago and they still cant give me the title. Apparently, there is a lien on the car and they forgot to deal with that. Ive called several times and either leave a voice mail that no one ever responds to, or I get a hold of the title dept who is completely incompetent. I asked if they would at least give me another temp license plate, since this one is now expired, and they said no. I will never buy another car from these shiesty used car salesmen.

I purchased a used F-150 about one month ago. I bought it “as is”, knew fully well what that meant and signed paperwork indicating that was my intent. I also declined the extended warranty. For those of you buying a used car from this dealer: be aware. Make sure to do a thorough walk through of whatever you’re test driving.So far my truck has been to a shop twice: there was no Freon in the A/C right after I bought it, a wiring harness in one of the rear doors was knackered, and a sensor inside of the transmission (covered under a Ford extended service warranty) caused the truck to start in fourth gear, which also caused the electrics to go haywire. I called my salesman, Mike, immediately after this happened (less than an hour after I drove it off the dealer lot), he said he didn’t know what it was, and that no one else at the dealer knew what it was. He said he’d get back to me the following Monday, which he NEVER DID.But what probably infuriates me the most is that there was no follow up from Mike the sales person, or anybody else at the dealer thanking me for my business, as well as how’s everything going with my truck. Anytime I’ve flown I always get an email thanking me for my business, and wanted me to offer comments on the service I experienced.

Don Wood’s service department took advantage of my college-aged daughter. They gave her the run around, did not take her seriously, and did not fix the issue with her Ford Fusion. She had her car there twice for the same issue and they did not fix the problem. It was a complete waste of her time and money!Thankfully, my husband works at a different dealership, so we made the long trip to Athens to bring her car home to be fixed. His store was able to fix it for her the first time they looked at it.It’s a shame. It would have been nice for her to be able to get her car fixed while at college, but instead she had to travel to a Ford dealership almost 4 hours away back at home to get her car fixed.Don Wood needs to investigate this issue. Athens is a college town and they should not be in the business of taking advantage of college students. If it happened to my daughter, it could happen to yours! It is not good business to nickel and dime anyone, especially a young girl.

Scam to get you in the door, even after asking for the fine print details was not told anything useful. Their 5,000$ over KBB on a trade in is only on Lincoln mkx. Incredibly disappointed for driving over an hour to get here to find out its all bologna.

My daughter has a 2017 Ford Fusion that she had issues with the battery... She was told that the dealer did a Mater reset 3 days later... now we need a battery. Ford Premium care allows for a loaner vehicle if the car is down for a period of time. Good thing I have a better dealer in my area... Brought it in, scanned the codes and fixed it!! Guess it wasnt a master reset... I work in the business... asked Ford techs what that was... Disconnect the battery and move on...

I got an oil change at this dealership. The job itself was quick and the staff was kind during the weight. My only complaint is that the magazines in the waiting room are outdated and the TV in the waiting room played Ford-centric commercials the whole time. The wait would have been easier if there were better materials to pass the time.

Called asked questions about a Ford Escape, was told it ran well. When we came to pick it up engine was knocking. Dishonest and spoke rudely to us when we asked for our money back.

I had scheduled an appointment to purchase a new key and have it programmed, and was told over the phone that it would be about $40 for the key and $60 for the programming service. I was informed that they had the key in stock and could help me out. I arrived early for my appointment only to be told that they no longer had the keys in stock and that it is now $189 plus an $80 programming service. Will be taking my business elsewhere as the employees I interacted with were also rude and disrespectful.

I was upset to see that the sales staff did not wear masks and that the 2019 Honda CRV was dirty the carpet next to the drivers seat was dirty and there was a stain on the passengers seat. We left quickly.

I purchased a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from them. Theyd disconnected the battery so the dash warning lights wouldnt be on during the test drive. The salesman stopped me before I got to 55mph because they knew it had a death wobble. My first week driving it, it slipped out of 1st and 3rd gears - the transmission is going bad. The front tires were dry rotted on the inside (theyd flipped them), and they hid the electrical issues, as well. Additionally, the soft top leaks so badly in the back that I had to replace it within 2 weeks.I contacted them and was told that it was purchased as is... Even if deceptive practices were employed to get the sale. They then hounded me relentlessly for the title to the car I traded in. I had mailed it within 2 days of receiving the jeep. They called me more than 10 times, called my work, and sent me threatening letters (they had it all along).DONT BUY THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!

We bought our 2010 Ford Explorer used from Don Wood. There have been maintenance issues since purchase. When getting repairs done at Don Wood Ford Service department they did as little as possible to get our vehicle in good service condition. To a point where after the one repair the vehicle became unsafe to drive. The service department tried to make it out to be our fault. Not only that but they tried to over charge us on a price we had discussed and again tried to make it sound as if I were lying. Overall the worst dealer experience I have ever had. I am not the type to complain, however I went as far as to report them to the better business bureau.

Traded in myF-150 on an F-250 and not only did they treat me more than fair on my trade in, but they helped me out tremendously on my purchase from them. Had a great experience with Garrett Caldwell at Don Wood Ford. I have bought 3 vehicles from him and had a great experience with each. I drove over an hour each time just to keep dealing with him. He gets me what i feel is the best deal around.

If I could give this dealership negative stars I would. We have fought for months to get Don Wood to be accountable for the damage theyve done to my husbands truck after we paid them to replace the turbos ($5000 of work). First, their Best Service Manager in the State couldnt even diagnose the problem (along with multiple other issues that weve paid to have diagnosed in the past). After lots of research and us telling them that we thought the turbos went out, they finally diagnosed it as such. After the first turbo replacement, the engine started squealing so loudly it was almost unbearable to ride in, let alone for the people around us. Don Wood told us to keep driving it because maybe a seal would seat better after some drive time. Weeks later, and many complaints and phone calls to Don Wood, they made us an appointment and found that a seal they had put in was busted and needed to be replaced. They then told us to drive it, squealing was still there. We finally convinced them something was seriously not right and they scheduled an appt 2 weeks out. The next day the new turbos completely blew leaving us to tow the truck and have them replace the turbos (they finally agreed to do so) which were under the Ford warranty. They never offered to show us the bad parts (illegal in the state of Ohio) and they left us out in the cold as far as my husband having a vehicle for work (this is our work truck). When we came in to get the truck many days later, we were asked to come back into the garage and all of the sudden we had bad oil and there were metal shavings in the filter. We had NEVER had a problem with this truck before we took it to Don Wood. After the last set of new turbos still never shown to us, my husband left the garage with the truck still squealing and now smoking out of the exhaust. They told us that it would eventually clear out and we made them keep the truck telling them that wasnt right and they needed to fix it and bring it back the same working order it was when we brought it in (well, with working turbos that we paid for). We have retained a lawyer, because the truck is still not the same. We have tried to get Don Wood to make it right in several different ways, including trading it in even at a bit of a loss to us for what theyve done. Their response was that our truck is basically worthless because the engines bad because of the notated metal shavings that again were the result of their negligence. Our livelihood depends on this truck. We didnt want ANYTHING beyond what we paid for and for Don Wood to make their wrongs right. In the process of our truck being in their shop not only did they somehow mess up the engine, but they also dented the hood and broke off a windshield fluid cap. After all of this weve spoken to so many locals who have mirrored our plight. I just wish we wouldve known sooner not to take our vehicle to Don Wood in the first place.

The leasing process was a nightmare. The staff works hard to give you the best prices but overall the leasing process was quite dysfunctional. Though I had gotten a quote over a month before I came into the dealership, the paperwork was not ready when I arrived to pick up the car. It took two months for the paperwork to be sent out (after I was told it would be ready later that week). In that interim, I received just one call letting me know it was running late. When the paperwork still wasnt ready weeks after that call, I tried to return the call multiple times and was sent to voicemail or just told someone will get back to you with no answer. I also received multiple mailings from Ford financing that the offer wasnt accepted bc of my credit and that I could accept a counter offer (with no information on the counter offer and no info from the dealership). When the contract finally came it in fact did come with different terms (unable to put a down payment on to lower monthly costs). The price was slightly lower on the contract but, the lack of explanation of the contract and changes made to it made the whole process incredibly difficult. Overall: needlessly strenuous for mediocre service. Would not reccomend

I had the unfortunate experience of hitting a deer in my 6 month old Ford Escape :( The left front side of my poor car was damaged . Chris and his crew at Don Wood took great care of Zelda ( my Escape, she is the prettiest blue and sparkly) and made sure that she looked just as great as she did before the Great Deer Encounter.
