Mighty damn fine bunch of people! Get you in, on the rack, then back on the road; if theres anything unexpected theyll stop, and come in to let you know whats just been discovered. No shortcuts, straight up put it back together the reverse way of which it came apart. Some days its standing room only, somedays youre the only one there. Just show up and leave it to them.

Theyve always done work on my vehicle my mothers and my daughters and we have always had good service

This is a good business ran by good people. I have done business with them for years but there is one problem (and, it major to me). The location is terrible. There only one in and out which is always backed up. And, if you get in that one entrance, there is most likely not going to be a parking place. I am currently in need of new tires and I going to try another location in Athens. I have done business with McClary for 30-40 years plus but I am now going to change. I thought about this the last time I bought there but decided against it then because they are so good. But, that location is terrible ! If it was only a 1-time issue when i actually bought the tires, i would still go there; however, there the balance and rotate that has to be done often,

They were really friendly people they put tires on it offered me a ride home and they put tires on it and tried to see why it shakes and helped me however they could

Went there told them to just check my car out, then they charge me for rotation without asking,got told what the problem was, but turned out it was worse then told had to fix it later on. They seem like good friendly people why i gave them 3 stars, but make sure you tell them up front to tell you before work is done to the car.

Great local mechanic shop that does not do you wrong or rip you off. This is the place I recommend to people for mechanic work.

Had car trouble while I was home for thanksgiving. They were able to reaffirm what I had already thought to be the problem and did not add any additional “ghost” problems. They were fast, super friendly, honest and affordable. I used to work on cars and I cannot tell you how valuable an honest mechanic is. You would be absolutely crazy to take your car anywhere else. I would drive here from out of town to have them work on my cars!

I got very competent and conscientious service from McClary Tire today. I was a walk-in customer bringing in a Silverado for a road noise issue of unknown (to me) source. Four hours later I was back on the road with several potentially serious tire and steering issues corrected (one wheel bearing, sway bar links. front brake pads, tires. four-wheel alignment). I now feel really good about getting my 170,000 mile truck on the road again.The service was technically excellent, with the tech/mechanic apologizing (unnecessarily) whenever another issue was identified. Thats exactly what I want... to take care of everything needed in one service call.The only downside is the limited parking around this very popular (for decades) and busy (for good reason) auto repair center. The business name is misleading... McClary Tire does so much more than just tires!

While traveling through Alabama, I hit a large pothole and had a blowout 8pm on a Thursday night. The next morning McClary ordered my tire, had it delivered and had me on my way within 3.5 hours! They cared about our situation, the price I was charged was fair, the work was done quickly. This is a stand up business!! Thank You for helping my family and I get rolling again. Great ServiceWe were traveling on I-65 near Athens when we hit a road hazard and blew a tire. We had too far to go to rely on the donut spare so we called McClary. Kasey, the manager said he didnt have the same brand as we had but did have another brand in the size we needed. As soon as we drove in, he got us right in, checked the wheel which had some damage from the road hazard, replaced the tire and had us on our way. I dont buy tires often, so when I got home, I checked the price of the tire that they installed and found the price to be very fair. Couldnt ask for better service.

I had a screw in my tire. They patched it quickly and had me on my way within the hour. I always go to them for any of my tires. They treat me like family and do excellent work.

My husband literally spent close to a $1000.00 in tires. He got charged for the nitrogen to fill the new tires. He got charged for valve stems which were changed as well. In the process, they missed a couple of important problems, such as a bad tire pressure sensor. Also, a bad wheel bearing which should have been noticed, I would think. Also, the tires are capped with metal valve stem cap which coincide with the air pressure sensors. They lost one and replaced it with a standard cap. Pretty expensive if you think about it. On top of everything, the guy that drove the truck in for service, was texting! Things that make you go...ummmm

Warning not to do business with these people. I am a tire dealer and I had a customer traveling 12/31/14 that had a road hazard claim . Richard manager ? sales guy ? hung up on Bridgestone warranty claim service didnt want to help the customer .I called and was going to pay hostage money.Let me explain .My customer paid 160.00 for the same tire 2/14 Mcclary Tire wanted over 230.00 .I call that a rip off but I was willing to pay the full amount to take care of my customer.Richardwould not take credit card payment over the phone said he didnt care if I was the President then hung up on me too. So fair warning to anyone traveling in this area STAY AWAY from this place.This is why people dread traveling out of town when some shops GO OUT OF THERE WAYtake advantage of peopleBEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible people! These guys ripped my mother in law off. They performed work that wasnt authorized or needed and refused to give her truck back until she paid them $800. I dont know how these people sleep with themselves at night!
