Always very knowledgeable and willing to help. Goes the extra mile to find info or items that arent big moneymakers for them. Just plainly cares about every customer.
Ive never had a bad experience here. Staff has always been helpful when asking for advice on tools.
There prices are good and there sales men are very helpful
I purchased a very expensive piece of equipment. First, 2 key components were missing. I asked about the missing components and they said I should call the manufacturer to get them. Um, no. They ended up calling for me. Then, after getting to the register; a $60 higher price rang up. They removed that, only to add $70 for a shipping charge for the unit. I was in the store for about 2 hours, and no shipping charge was discussed. The sales guy helping me was really good. Not super knowledgeable, but that’s okay. We all have to start somewhere. The store does have the “yard sale” feel. Counters, clutter, machines, tools everywhere. Labels over labels of items, and many missing items from aisle shelves.I am not a big fan of egos, which is what I got at Woodcraft, but I’m also not a fan of clutter (tripping over items in walkways) like shown in Woodworkers Depot.
Better than Home Depot and Menards for cabinet hinges.
A woodworkers heaven. A very wide selection of tools and brands. Prices are good.
Great prices on power tools. Think big machines like table saws, jointers, etc. There hand tools and accessories are definitely lacking. Maybe its due to covid. Lately the staff have been very helpful.
They have almost wveryrhing I could sever need for woodworking. Way better than woodcraft.
There is a great selection of everything woodworking here! I was a little unprepared for this visit otherwise I wouldve probably ended up buying too much! The prices are very fair as well. I will take more time next time in this store.
If your into woodworking its one of the best places to get the things you need to complete your project.
Great selection of tools and boards
The guys at Woodworkers Depot, in particular Adam, were extremely helpful when I stopped in earlier today. I dont usually write reviews, but felt compelled to do so after the assistance I received. I recently started getting into woodworking and view it as a huge stress reliever. Adam was able to suggest great beginner tools to get me started and let me know what species of wood would work best for my table project. Ill definitely be back in the future!!
This stores employees are very helpful and the service is great. I needed several special products to finish my hardwood floors that the store didnt carry because there is limited distribution of the particular products I was using. The staff at Woodworkers Depot went out of their way and special ordered the products for me so that the products arrived the next day and I was able to finish the floors before I went out of town! Really great service and thrilled they went out of their way to do this. Made a big difference for me.
If you want high end woodworking equipment and tools here is the place.
Amazing selection and reasonable prices.
Very helpful and friendly people. Dennis seemed almost as excited as I was to start my collection of Festool equipment. Their selection of Festool products is great. The amount of high-end woodworking equipment in the showroom (all brands) is truly impressive. I will definitely be back!
I visited this place on 03-03-2018, a Saturday. I explained I’m a beginner at working with wood projectsand these two gentlemen went out of their way to explain about tools and their quality to get your projectpieces square so as to have a correct finished result. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. If you wantQUALITY machines and tools for your shop, this is where you want to go. Don’t pay attention to the negativereviews that people in the past had said about the staff. That gentleman is no longer there, so you want sound advice, talk to them, and trust me, they will point you in the right direction!!!!
Fantastic selection and the sales person on our first visit seemed very knowledgeable which was very important to us because we are novices and looked past his overbearing-quirky personality. When we returned to purchase dust collector, another sales person tried to talk us into something completely different. When we got him on track we discussed some features of the collector and all the necessary attachments we would need etc. Unfortunately neither sales people bothered or were not aware that we would need a 220 service and the collector was set up to be hardwired. Now we need an electrician.
Spot on advice, such a friendy place and enviornment. Staff went out of there way to help and discuss. I will be back!!
Never fails. Every time I go in the service is excellent. Thanks again Adam.
Great selection. customer service starts ok, but goes downhill fast. I have gone in on several occasions ready to buy an expensive tool and have been insulted by a sales person so bad that I just left. The employees need to realize that the people shopping here are not idiots. The employees at Woodcraft are much more knowledgeable and friendly.
They’ve got a good selection and decent prices, but their customer service is horrible. I’m an experienced woodworker and know exactly what I want when I go in, but each time I’ve gone there the guys tell me how my choices tool or product is bad and that if I don’t buy festool, I’m wasting my money. No one, especially hobbyists or aspiring woodworkers deserves to be shamed for the tools they can afford. I’d recommend buying online long before I’d shop with them. I’ve shopped there doezens of times for the convenience, and have had no good experiences with the few guys that work there.
I went here to purchase a finish, and it appeared there was 1 person working and he was having a legnthy conversation with someone about football. I was able to find the section with the finishing products and found what I was looking for. I spent about half an hour in the store looking at other products, never once did the salesman stop his conversation to see if I needed help. I went up to the counter and the employee did not stop his discussion to ring me up. The only words said to me were $18.97 and he continued his conversation. I then proceeded to leave after my purchase as they kept babbling about football. I returned 2 weeks later to look for a different product and nobody there said a word to me and I couldnt find what I was looking for. One employee walked right past me and didnt even make eye contact. I have never been more disappointed with customer service in my life. Looks like I will be making the drive to woodcraft next time I need something.
Great place
Ive been coming to Woodworkers Depot for years; especially to get my tools fixed. These guys know what they are doing & know the good from the bad at a glance. From compressors to saws you cant beat the expertise here.
Your lumber cutting charge and stipulation of making the customer take the bad end so you can sell the other to someone else is just about the most perfect example of idiotic management. Cant blame this one on your terrible employees. Theres very clearly some serious personnel issues there including management. Your competitors must absolutely love you guys.
Adam was a great source of knowledge. We are very pleased with our purchases.
I had a problem with a router adapter for a new router table. The guys--especially Adam--were excellent. Knowledgeable, competent, friendly, and persistent in finding the solution.
Ive been to the store about a dozen times over the past decade and they have a great selection of tools and accessories. There is one worker at the store that always makes a derogatory comment about women each time Ive run into him. Im just going to Woodcraft or Rockler from now on.
Family friendly environment—love ‘em all!
Didnt have the product I needed, which is fine, but man, the salesman was a snot about it. He tried to tell me that everyone elses way is better using different products, then when I asked him to show me, he couldnt. Also, noticed a Bessey clamp on sale for $4 more than the price marked on the shelf. Eh. Just go to Woodcraft. Or order from Amazon.
Most things were out of my price range tool wise. Alot of other things just shoved in like a garage sale.
I purchased a Laguna Table saw this year March, it took forever to get the saw, but that was NO fault of the Staff at wood workers Depot, Laguna was having their own internal issues with manufacturing. Adam did a fantastic job at keeping me up to date to the delivery, once it was delivered and I got it home it was one problem after another. I learned that Laguna sent me a floor model that was clearly not assembled correctly. Adam and staff work diligently and swiftly to correct this issue. I know have the saw I want and need and couldnt be happier. I spend alot of money on wood working tools and can say the service they provided and the dedication they put forth to make sure I was happy was top notch. Adam again you did a great job and thank you for all your help..
I had a bizarre experience today at Woodworkers Depot...I went in to buy a Lathe and as I waited for Adam to finish gossiping with a customer, he finally assisted me. I said Hi, I would like to buy a Lathe! Adam chuckled and laughed and said Ooookay? What the heck? Then Adam was ignorant about chucks, fittings, or woodturning in general...he admitted he was only capable of opening the cabinet for me. Then went on to indulge his personal information to me, that he was a doctor and owed over $100,000 in student loans. As I stood holding the lathe book with part numbers...he and the other sales associates were no help. Thats okay guys, I will get the parts and accessories myself! Steve helped a little but certainly didnt step in to be helpful in any way and this was the employee who I was told turned pool cues for a living! Then as I went to give my info at the register for a warranty - I had to spell my name five times to Adam, he responded, Its been a long day. My $100 chuck and other expensive tools purchased were then placed in a cheap plastic bag, which broke thru the bottom once I stepped outside. Gee, Thanks a lot!Adam and Steve then began to discuss weather or not to give their female coworker, Jean, a hard time As she was in the warehouse where I was told to drive around too. Both useless men said Jean was the only woman that works there and they like to give her A hard time - Really? I am standing right here! Please do not degrade a woman to another woman...Idiots.I was instructed to drive to the back of the building to the over head door to meet Jean. And then she starts in on me! She kept asking about the spelling of my name...confirming the spelling over and over. Yes my name is spelled with a S, get over it. For some reason she thought that was a conversation piece and then relayed back to Adam in her ear piece...indeed that was how my name is spelled as she looked me up and down three times while saying Really, with an S. Mind you I am standing in the overhead door waiting for this bizarre conversation of my name to end and. Putt Putt with the forklift truck...the lathe finally is removed from the shelf. Of course, Jean, grabs me the Lathe with A Damaged Box and she places it into my vehicle. I was like its damaged and I was told by 2 sales associates it should be okay. As I drove away, I reflected, this was a terrible experience and they stole this exciting moment from me. A lathe is quite an investment and this is a career change for me. Unfortunately, I will be returning my $1100 purchase and going to Woodcraft in Appleton.
Seriously, you guys need to counsel, document, and if necessary terminate, a rude and recalcitrant employee. I am going to echo Brian, Andy and Tamis reviews below. I was in the store on Wednesday afternoon Aug 6th at 2:30 in hopes of getting a timing (toothed) drive belt for my 10 Inch Delta Band Saw. I started off by apologizing to the sales rep... (B***, about 5 foot 6, squat, salt and pepper hair, late 50s to mid 60s age, smells like tobacco smoke)(approach with caution)...that I forgot to bring the part number with me, but perhaps he could assist either visually or with reference to the trade number on the belt (it was a 3mm tooth pitch by 9mm wide belt...564mm OAL.) The sales guy warmed up and delivered his apparently well rehearsed lecture on how he wasnt going to waste an hour of his time on a rube such as I looking for a part you probably dont have. Mind you...no one behind me waiting for his talents. Well rehearsed I say...because he slipped out how he has been written up for lecturing customers in this fashion. I was subjected to and worn out by about 10 minutes of this offensive condescending superior and parental grousing and privileged to about 1 minute of effort and a negative reply. I couldnt wait to get out of there.Naturally, a quick Google yielded an on-line order out of Florida. I did try local first. You well know...how customers are treated is what keeps brick and mortar open in competition with the internet. You may also note I waited a couple of days before posting this. Thank you for your attention.
Great selection and knowledgeable staff
Ive been there before and I think its really awesome
The salesmen was a jabber jaw and talked me out of buying a lathe when I went there. The selection is great just dont ask for assistance.
Love the selection in the store, need to get rid of Bert, rude and unnecessarily annoying. Im not an idiot, no need to treat me like one.
Service was good
Very nice people
Great selection, staff can be a bit disappointing at times.
