We got a flat tire while traveling. These guys had the tire we needed in stock, dropped everything to put it on as soon as we pulled in, and had us on our way in less than 30 minutes. Polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working men. Highly recommend!

I will never return to this dishonest business, and I suggest you don’t either. They have a huge banner on the front of the building stating that the price of an oil change is $39.99. The fine print mentions an additional charge of $2.90. I booked my appointment and checked in when I got there. They took my keys and said that it would be a bit of a wait. The girl that was at the counter was friendly enough, but she never mentioned any price at all before service or any reason that it would not be the advertised price. When the service was complete, the mechanic brought my car to the front and came in to collect my payment. To my shock, he claimed that the total due was $82 and change. That is double the price advertised! When I said that I refused to pay that and asked for a reason, he stated that it wasn’t his job to provide me one and would have his manager handle it. The manager was the same girl that checked me in. After what she claimed were 2 discounts, she knocked it down to $64. She claimed that the price double was due to the fact that my vehicle only uses synthetic oil, but nobody ever cleared this price with me. I would never knowingly agree to pay over $80 for an oil change! The fact that they did not disclose this price until after the service was complete seems like proof of dishonest business practices and false advertisement. If you want honesty and communication, do not go here.

Great first time experience. Met with the owner and the tech who quickly saw what my car needed and listened to what I needed done. They didnt try to up sell and were honest about any future repairs that I thought I would need. Gave me a fair price for the work needed (replacement of muffler flange with short piece of pipe.) They did start the repair process before price consult so thats why only 4 star. Will keep them in mind for future repairs and maintenance upkeep. Overall great job!

I was working on my own brakes 2 of my passenger side lugnuts stripped out. Not only did they agree to just break lug nuts lose for me so i could finish my brake job they did it quickly and told me there was no charge. The service lady and both techs were great honest and fair next project i dont want to do myself or cannot they have my business thank you so much

My moms car has been worked on 3 times by this place for the same issue (her car not starting) in less than 3 weeks. The first time, a tow truck driver jumped it and they said nothing was wrong and sent her on her way. About a week ago this happened again and they told her she needed a starter that cost almost $600. Today her car wouldnt start again. We jumped it and got it there. They looked at her car and replaced the battery for free, without even getting her approval first. Not sure what they did a week ago that messed up the old battery (perfectly good one that was newly replaced by someone else), but neither my mom nor myself will be coming here again.

Ive been going to this establishment for a few years now. They always are friendly and give me a quote up front before making any decisions. The prices have always been reasonable and the workmanship has been great. Yesterday I was in for some brake work and the manager on duty Gabriel Sigman drove me home because he said it would take over an hour to get a part. He then picked me up at home to retrieve the car when it was finished. Wow you dont get that kind of customer service these days ! Give that man a raise !

I went here because my check engine light was on and there was a squeaking sound coming from my car. I had not had an oil change in a while so I took it in for the oil change and told the man working about the sound. He told me it was probably a belt that needed to be replaced. I assumed he would check it out while doing the oil change, but when I got my car back (after an almost $90 oil change) the check engine light was still on and there was still a sound coming from the engine. I took my car back later in the week and told them that the last time I was there I was told that the sound was due to a belt. They said it probably needed replaced and would only take a couple hours. I get a call about 30 minutes later, and they told me that my air conditioning compressor was going out and it would be a $900 repair. As a college student I obviously could not afford this, so I took my chances and decided to drive the car home to get it inspected at my local auto shop. After taking it there, my mechanic said nothing was wrong with the AC compressor and it actually was a belt that needed replaced. The repair ended up being much cheaper than what this shop told me. It definitely felt like the men working here were trying to take advantage of the fact that I was a young woman coming into the shop so they tried to charge me with an expensive repair that I did not really need. Overall it was an awful experience and I will definitely never be returning.

I had an appointment for oil change, which took 2.5 hours! I was not aware they would be using synthetic oil (which my vehicle does NOT require) so I ended up paying double what I was expecting!The man that took my payment was very unprofessional. Used inappropriate language and was very rude.

Took my car in for all four new tires and alignment. Got the car back and the steering wheel was way off. I also noticed that the front right wheel bearing needed replaced so I called them to fix the steering and asked them to check the front wheel bearings. They fixed the steering and told me that it fixed the vibration in the front end. They told me nothing was wrong with the wheel bearings. Took it home and on the way it made the worst vibration and grinding noise when I would turn the wheel to the left ( typical for wheel bearings). Being sick of calling them and trying to get things right I took it to my local mechanic that I use and the wheel bearing was completely gone. I wish they wouldve fixed it right the first time but after the second time and them not doing what I asked I will not be back. I will find my tires elsewhere next time. They never even offered a discount for me having to take the car back and my bill was over $900! My advice, if someone asks you to check the front wheel bearings and they want an alignment, try to check and make sure you do it right the first time. In this line of business the third time is the charm doesnt go over well with people.

Earlier this year when it was Monroe Muffler, they replaced my whole muffler, now a few months later my muffler fell off and the pipe was dragging on the ground.... oh and this happened a week later after Tire Choice told me the loud sound coming from my car was my exhaust manifold and my flex pipe, which would cost $1,000 to repair, and did not even MENTION my muffler. Told me I could hold off on repairs but now I had to tow my car to an auto shop to be fixed after being stuck on the side of the road. Thanks for your negligence! You screwed me over.

I went in for break replacements that were long overdue which was my mistake. Ben ended up fixing my breaks and putting in a ton of work over two days. I got the car back and it runs like day one, I forgot how good my car felt when it was new. He even had us follow up a few days later to make the car was in top shape. Price was great too I know it could’ve easily been way more expensive based on the other shops I’ve been in.

I had car troubles on my way back to school during finals week and Ben (one of the employees) stayed open later to ensure I could get the best possible service and was able to have my car up and working by the next morning to get me back in a timely manner. I even received a phone call from the employees ensuring I made it back safely and the car had no further troubles. I would recommend this location to just about everyone! Affordable and quick as well as the most kind hearted mechanics!

The quote was MUCH less than the online estimates I looked up. I mean, a fraction if the cost. While travelling down Center Street I hit a pothole and the pipe which connects the catalytic converter to the muffler broke completely in half. Not only did the car sound bad, but every small, or large bump in the street made the pipe drag. I pulled over, called AAA and my husband, and soon we were on the road to Monro Auto Service and Tire Center on Claremont Ave. It was near closing time, but up on the rack it went, an assessment was made and a sleeve was applied to fix the problem. Now this is an old car, and we could have been charged a lot of money for a new muffler, pipe and a catalytic converter...but we werent. Besides fixing the problem, we also received honesty, integrity, friendliness and quick service. That in itself is priceless. A huge thank you to all at Monro!!!

Absolutely the best service Ive experienced! I was traveling through Ohio and suddenly had an car issue that needed immediate attention. I called and spoke with Ben and was told to bring the car in so that they could take a look at it. I was of course stressed out, but I was greeted with a warm reassuring smile. Great service. Recently had an issue with one of my tires after getting them all replaced. Turns out it was the pressure sensor battery, however they also went ahead and checked my other tires and one did in fact have a leaky valve which they replaced at no cost since I got the tires recently. Highly recommend their service.

Got up on Sunday morning to find the tire on my wifes car was flat. Monro was open and Jerry was able to get me right in. The tire was ok - but the TPMS sensor was leaking. The guys were able to repair (not replace!) the sensor and saved me a bunch of money. Will definitely send more business their way.Also, it might seem like a little thing, but the bathroom in the waiting area was quite nice and very clean.

We were traveling on vacation and had a nail in our trailer tire. We looked for somewhere in the area on a Sunday to get it repaired. We found Monro Auto and Tire. It wasnt too far off the highway and the staff was very nice. If you have any tire needs, I would head over there.

Service to my car was good though as with most repair shops they made me feel like I didnt know what I was talking about. Later my husband went in to ask about the repair they made and they did the same thing to him and he DOES know what he is talking about when it comes to cars so customer service could be a lot better.

Absolutely wonderful guys! I took my car in for an oil change and to have my exhaust repaired. They didnt have one of the parts in stock so the manager ordered it and had it in by the end of the next day. My quote matched my actual price, the work was done well, and they also found a rough puncture in my tire that would probably explain a lot of other problems I had been having and patched it.

We were on the road from PA to CO when our truck suddenly broke down. We went into store 211 when they were about to close on a Sunday and Ben went above and beyond to get us back on the road as soon as possible. Would definitely recommend going here for any car needs. Very unprofessional! Have never had such a bad experience in my life ! Was told over the phone a price for alignment and they did not mention it was the price with a coupon. Got there and was charged more ! They charged me a rack fee when most dealers I’ve gone to waive the rack fee if you get a service done. Instead they applied the coupon to rack fee and was charged even more for a service I was told incorrectly about! Also was charged supply fee when I’ve never been charged that with alignment before ! Very unhappy especially because we were on a budget!

Got me in quickly for an oil change. They were helpful to let me know of other safety issues that needed addressed.

I had an issue with my car window, I called in advance to see if they could fix the problem. The employ said they would take a look at it to see what they could do. After he looked at it for a minute he said that he had to destroy my door panel in order to fix the wind shield, I had to show him how to remove the peace so he didnt destroy my door. After about half an hour he finds the problem and says he cant find the right tools to fix my windshield, he says I have to go to his shop tomorrow in order to fix it the proper tools. So the next day I call to get an appointment for my problem, when the guy picks up he then tells me he cant do that problem and the guy that helped me was even there and then said they couldnt do it. They said they would do it for double the price of what he asked for before, wasting wasting my time and now I hope it doesnt rain before I can get this fixed. I would not recommend going to this location unless you want to be ripped off and lied to.

Put high cost parts on an older car when they had less expensive parts available. My muffler is louder than it should be. They didnt fix the problem with my truck but sure charged me almost $2000 for what they said was wrong with it. I dont blame the workers. I blame the company for this seems to be their policy. Make the bill as high as possible before we lose their business.

3 years ago or so I got a new battery from Monro Muffler (Im sure they have it on file), yesterday my car wouldnt start so I called to get a jump start. Turns out my battery doesnt have a negative post. Now Im stranded and cant get jumped as theres only one post to connect battery to battery

Wonderful place. They stayed late on a holiday weekend and fixed our vehicle so we could continue our travels without delay.

We had a whole new exhaust put on our car by another shop 2 yrs previous to going to Monros. It had rusted out in one spot and completely fell off. Monro was able to remove the bad spot since the rest was perfectly fine and sauter the exhaust back together for under $90. We appreciate the honesty as they could have just as easily told us we needed to replace the entire thing for much more $$

Tried to argue their coupon pricing. After they reluctantly agreed to the price, they determined the head gasket was leaking and refused to change the oil. Took the car to another shop to have the head gasket looked at, nothing was wrong. Have only used them in weekend emergency situations and will avoid using their services if able to.

Did a good job changing my oil.. and the guy who checked me out was friendly enough. But... the guy who changed my oil got grease all over my drivers seat my arm rest and the fabric on my door. They did clean it off but my seat is now discolored. Very disappointing when the interior was immaculate before the oil change.

Wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Went there for a busted brake line and they told me my total cost would be $1366 with a BS list of reasons as to why it would cost so much, went down to APAR and drove out with a fixed truck for only $130.

They ripped by brother off by overcharging/charging for parts they never even put on (at least theyre refunding the money for that) but they also ripped him off by repairing things unrelated to the problem he came in there for! So now hes out a couple hundred bucks for no reason, they even replaced a bad part that was literally JUST replaced by a different mechanic. That tells me they either dont know what theyre talking about or they just want to take your money. I think its both. They also lied about the car, they told us drove it, let it sit...drove it, let it sit...drove it, and let it sit. However, the mileage on his car never changed! He told the guy that and he said Oh, I meant around the parking lot. Yeah, okay...Anyways, theyre dishonest, they seem to not really know what theyre talking about, they WAY over charge (a $20 item became a $90 item?!), and they charge for things they either shouldnt charge for or didnt even do. Dont ever, ever go there, unless you dont mind paying for nothing.

PSA: Priced out tires from businesses around town.... these folks were 200 dollars more than Guys Tire on Cottage St. Had Guys put on the tires, however they do not do alignments and the place they recommended... 5 Star Alignment.... could not get my truck in until the end of the following week. After calling around for alignment quotes, I took the truck to Monros. The man on the phone told me to, bring it in and well look at it.... and if it needs aligned they start at 50 dollars. I did so. A few hours later I received a call saying this, that, and the other needed to be done before an alignment. This, that, and the other ended up totaling 1,000. Needless to say after the phone call, I placed one to my usual mechanic who said he can do it for less than half the price. The choice was obvious. When i went to pick up the truck I had a 24 dollar bill. The, I can only assume, manager stated the charge was because the mechanics had the vehicle on the rack and looked at it. Well no durrrr..... Unfortunately I understand that a fair amount of people are unsure about what makes their vehicle tick, and obviously what those parts that make the vehicle tick actually cost. This review is for those folks. This is my first and last review of any business. I keep my opinions to myself, and do not read reviews because most seem to be looking for compensation from the business. This is strictly a public service announcement... Need new tires? Guys Tires is fantastic. Alignment? 5 Star Alignments. Oil change? Nobody is better than BB&C. Looking to get ripped off? Try MonroKyle Robey
