Only had 30 ceiling fans. I wanted something bigger.

I went in for chalk paint, which Ive never used. The associate guided me to the right area, and gave great pointers. Everyone in the store was friendly and welcoming, including the girls at the register. The paint is fantastic quality! I had the right tools, because the paint associate suggested supporting items, but there was no pressure for anything I didnt need. First time in Ace Hardware (anywhere!), and Ill definitely go back, no more running to Lowes!

They have a little bit of everything and the staff is excellent!

Its very similar to most hardware stores. They carry a little bit of a number of hardware and household items, but they dont really specialize in one thing in particular. They do have a nice tool selection, but they seem to carry very little in the way of specialized tools. But for general purpose nuts and bolts, plumbing, electrical, paint, adhesives, cabinet hardware, locks, gloves and some clothing, cleaning supplies, etc., then its a well-rounded store.

The people that work at this store really go out of their way to help. If it wasnt for them I would stranded in their parking that. Best store Ive ever been to costumer service wise

Nice little neighborhood hardware store.. Dont have to always go to the big corporates Lowes or Homers. Even got some Sodastream refills, never in stocks elsewhere since pandemic. KEEP IT UP!

Great place to get in and out with what you need fast

I usually love this store but the problem is the masks!! They have signs all over the door about wearing masks yet so many customers don’t wear them. No one is ever challenged or confronted about it. I saw almost no customers wearing masks when I went in.

Convenient location and much easier than going into the giant stores. People here always helpful. Great lawnmower service too. We thought our mower was dead but the service tech assured us that he could fix it and he did! Still running great. Long wait for regular machine servicing, but he fixed ours on the spot when we were thinking we would have to buy a new one.

Always excellent service from a helpful, knowledgeable staff. They want your business and they act like it, whether its for a single nut or bolt or a high end piece of lawn equipment! They stock a surprising amount of stuff that you might go to a big box home supply chain does. They also have an excellent and prompt service department, from equipment maintenance to glass cutting, screen repair or just cutting a key. All in all a great service oriented general hardware store! A pleasant surprise in this day and age.

Quick and convenient. No huge parking lot and lost customer service representatives. They have a great selection which is organized and knowledgeable employees. If they dont have it...they can get it!

I love the South Asheville Ace Hardware for several reasons: It isnt a huge big-box store where I have to wander for miles. Parking is easy and close to the front door. But its all the friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful folks working there who really make this my store. For example, Cat, head of the paint section. She knows the products well, and has helped me with several wood related projects. Shes smart, polite and very helpful. Thank you Cat!!!

Of all the places we shop, this store, this location, is the most pleasant and helpful experience. The employees are very friendly. The stock is complete and fairly priced. The store is scrupulously clean and bright and beautiful. I look forward to every visit and wish I could get a job there so I could enjoy the happiness every day. I just had a great experience at Ace in S Avl. Ben and Colby quickly helped me find the obscure paint color that I needed and used their expert knowledge to answer about 10 other paint related questions.Dru helped me out at the register. She pointed out a discount that saved me more than $20!All three associates were extremely courteous.Great experience all around. Ill be shopping here again.

Ace is the place where they trace and dont mace they ask you with grace so you dont fall on your face, they dont try to chase, and they dont crank the base.

Every time Ive shopped in here, Ive had a great experience. The folks are very friendly and very helpful. Everyone has a smile on their face. The last time I went in there, John, on the sales floor, spent a good 15-20 minutes helping me find the right screws for my project and I only needed three.

Ace is the PLACE! Love coming in here for anything from ball jars to wing nuts to string trimmer parts. Someone is always there to help me out. Mike, David, Sheila, Sara and others always make shopping here an enjoyable experience. Keep up the good work!

This Ace has a nice and friendly staff. You can always find someone to help you (unlike the big box stores) and they welcome you at the door. Knowledgeable and efficient. They have hard to find items and an impressive hardware (screw, nuts, bolts) aisle. I would recommend them to anyone.

The customer service here is top notch! Really makes a difference when you walk into the store and everyone greats you and is motivated to help you. They give great advice and Id much rather stop by ACE then a larger home improvement store and spend half the time asking for help and not getting it.

I had a problem with my Echo chainsaw and, Tom, in small engine repair, was quick to locate the necessary part. He called me in the AM to tell me he had the part, I brought the chainsaw in at lunchtime and he repaired it while also giving me lesson on putting the bar and chain back together. Invaluable experience. Thank you, Tom.

Small store but 99.9% of the time, they will have what you need and the price will be better than the big box stores. But, what really sets them apart is the employees. I have never experienced a staff as knowledgeable and helpful. If you need advice on practically anything, someone there is an expert and will take the time to share information with you and walk you around the store to show you what you need.

So I went in to get my shears sharpened, and after waiting a few minutes somebody finally helped me and started asking my name, address, phone. I said I prefer not to give that info, I just want my shears sharpened. They kept arguing with me saying they need it for their paperwork. Well, Im sorry about your paperwork but I dont need a warranty or anything, I just wanted to have the service performed and go. Finally, they gave up and got it done but not until they tried to make me feel bad. SORRY, MY PERSONAL INFO IS MINE, ACE HARDWARE INC. IS NOT ENTITLED TO IT. Lowes doesnt harass me if I dont give my number and address, Ill probably just go there from now on.
