So let me start off with, WE LOVE THE FRESH MARKET. Such a great experience every time we go, EXCEPT the sushi bar. OH MY GOD the guy that makes the sushi is a full bag of rude. I am keeping this child friendly. Every time we place an order it is as if we are inconveniencing him and today was the absolute worst. My wife proceeded to place an order, he then prompted her to come back in 15 minutes. She then showed up 17 minutes later and he said he had still not started the order and said come back in five minutes. He raised his voice and threw his hands up in the air and walked away. One of the FM employees who had seen this, apologized and said, I am so sorry we receive so many complaints about this guy but its a third party that we use for our sushi and we really cant do anything about him. COME ON FRESH MARKET... One time is a mistake but this is all the time with this guy.This would have been a 5 star.

I usually love everything about Fresh Market. Thank goodness we have had a full bakery instead of the tables of boxed cookies for years.Tonight I dropped by to get dinner from the deli since DH wasnt up to snuff The stir fry looked SO good, I asked and told no, it isnt spicy. Something was hot! I dont know why hot cant be left out when people can easily keep Texas Pete in their cabinet! You can put it in, but not take it out! Why not let people make a personal choice???

I work in South Asheville and used to come here for lunch, but lately the prepared foods area is empty. There arent any salads, sandwiches, or anything that you can just grab and go. Im not sure if it is staffing issues or inventory.

A weekly staple for our main groceries. We eat vegetarian, and this is the source for most of the ingredients in our lunches & dinners. Solid fresh fruits & vegis; And a really good meat counter we enjoyed before we went vegetarian. Great bulk service nuts plus. Solid grocery items. Also a solid location to pick up fresh flowers always with appropriate cards to choose from for any occasion. We typically shop 80% to 100% of our weekly groceries here and sometimes pick up the other 20% at Ingles.

Quality products at a reasonable price. PAULY is also amazing. Lol he will hook you up with a good steak.

Guy behind fish and meat counter was rude. Been going to Fresh Market in Fla for years and have had nothing but great service. Was really surprised at his rudeness.

Love shopping here, you can definitely find things here that you wouldnt at other grocery stores.

We love going to the Fresh Market in Asheville NC. Its the only one within 50 miles of Sylva NC and Western North Carolina. We love the Thursday Dinner Specials. The $5.00 Rotisserie Chicken are delicious. And the Pizzas 🍕 are handmade and ready to cook.As the name implies everything is always Fresh. And dont forget to get some of the fresh ground Coffee to start your day!

The fresh market is amazing! I feel taken care of when I walk through the door. I really enjoy their product selection and price. I will be returning time after time again.

They have some awesome selections, they have stuff you wont find in other grocery stores. Youll definitely find some really good stuff.

Always neat and clean, things are easy to find, and staff helpful. There was a problem with the cc machine and they told us over loud speakers instead of waiting for people to get to the checkout.

Same products elsewhere are 1/3 cheaper.....at least. Specialty product selection is sparse at best. Checkout folks could be nicer. If you want great quality and service with a bit less expense I recommend Publix

A great day to go to The Fresh Market is Tuesday. They have their roasted chicken with 2 one-pound sides plus either corn muffins or rolls all for $12.99. Any time we go to the store we want to look down all the aisles just to see what is available. Its a place that makes you want to shop.

I very much enjoy shopping at Fresh Market because of the cleanliness, positive attitude of most employees, and willingness to help! However, today, my cashier only bagged half of my groceries and left the other half on the counter for me to bag and started taking the next customer. This is not OK, this is part of customer service, and this is not what I would have come to expect from Fresh Market.Hopefully, this is a one time experience.

Good sales, but whoever prepares the single packs of chicken on Tuesday mornings doesnt know you have to tie the bag or chicken juice leaks everywhere. Double bag it at the counter, friends!

Good options just not within for my budget to shop here frequently. They have a great selection of organically grown vegetables and fruits. As name states they are fresh. I do try to purchase meat here if I am cooking out. The steaks are excellent. They cost a bit more but my wife and I can split one to make it more affordable. Im torn between the freshness and the prices. Its a bit pricier than most grocery stores but the freshness of the items here are hard to beat.

I ordered curbside the other day and a worker came out with about 7 bags...although my order only said 3. He immediately put them in my truck without asking for my name or any verification- and that was it. I noticed a woman sitting in her car when I pulled up as though she had been waiting for her curbside food but somehow he felt I was first? I got out and checked my trunk -- the name was NOT mine on the bags. So naturally I went to the other car and asked what her name was... as expected - all the bags were hers. The food isnt cheap so I can only imagine how happy she was that I didnt just take off with her food. Then I get a text from inside saying there is no one available to bring out my curbside .. so my kids and I went inside (which defeated the whole purpose). Some lady was rushing around not able to figure out the 10 items I ordered and ripped open the 2 bags to see what I was missing. After 20 minutes, I got my items BUT the lady walked off and left me with 3 completely ripped and destroyed bags with all my food I purchased. I had to ask someone else for help ... at that point I was past annoyed. I got no apologies nothing. I get home and cooked up the crab cakes (I love crab cakes) and I was vomiting for 2 days from them. Food poisoning? I think so. I will NEVER shop here again. Along with my horrible experience- I also got under cooked roasted chicken. I just tossed it not wanting to take another risk. Shame on you Fresh Market and thanks for wasting my money. Thats over $30 wasted

Going downhill. We always get fresh turkey from fresh market. Opened ours up Thanksgiving day to find the turkey was black and blue and bruised all over. How horrible. Ruined our meal.

Meat and seafood is always fresh and stores are very clean. I dont get meat from anywhere else.

The Fresh market is one of my favorite places to purchase fresh meats. They guys that work at the counter are always so nice, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. I always have a good experience in that department! And there was a really nice girl working in produce today, too!

I come here for microwavable lunch from time to time. . .there is usually a special on one of the frozen entrée brands. The coffee is great, too. It is rather expensive for regular groceries, but if you can afford high quality, go for it!! You are getting what you pay for.

Would not reccomend this one. Cashier was very disrespectful. When I asked to speak with me manager became more disrespectful. Skip this one.

The floral department is lovely, as is the set up. Much to choose from. That said, this is a very overpriced store. Many vendors/competitors are stocked with speciality items these days, which makes the often overpriced products far less “special.” And then, there is the quite discernible conservative, stuffy ‘vibe’ ..which detracts from anything packaged well & pretty. If there is music, it’s never been noticed. And I have no doubt there are experienced specialists within various departments. With all due respect, experience makes no excuse for the drab or unsavory receptions by staff(rear & front of store.)

Lovely items

The quality of food here is awesome. They carry items I havent found elsewhere in Asheville. The chicken pot pie made fresh at the deli is the best I have had, the fresh made sushi daily is also really good! Out of all of the specialty grocery stores Asheville has to offer, this place is my absolute favorite. Just be prepared to pay premium prices for premium quality food, both fresh made at the store and the groceries available on the shelf.

Very helpful place. Very friendly staff, that knows their product placement as well as facts. Stopped in looking for Jack fruit having never seen it before... Turns out they have it, pieces or whole. Let us see and decide how much we wanted. Awesome place and we will be going back!

The gentleman at the prepared foods counter was amazingly helpful. We were able to indulge dramatically as always. Except for the seasonal cucumber dill salad not being available.

Always great curbside pickup and online order

Disappointing fresh market. My husband and I travel the country and ALWAYS stock up on fresh meat when we find a local fresh market. Not this time. Drove an hour to the Henderson fresh market only to be underwhelmed. When asked if the porterhouse steaks could be cut thinner than two inches, the answer was no. We always have steaks cut 1-1.5 inches. Then we asked if they had more baby back ribs. Only one full one in case we wanted two. Was told no, they did not have anymore. After challenging the young man that we needed two, he said they did have more. Went in back, threw four up on the counter and said pick what you want. My husband didnt want to touch the meat. Difficult. Just picked first and last. Then we asked if they had chicken wings. Again said no, they were sold out. When I asked when they would be coming in given the memorial Holiday is this weekend, we were told they dont carry chicken wings in that store. We purchased the few things we had in our basket and went to Ingles. They carry fresh meat as well. We just moved to the area and WE WILL NOT BE BACK.

This store location was a lot larger than the store I normally visit but laid out the same way. Very clean, great local selections from NC home grown businesses. I will visit again if I’m in the area.
