I can’t believe so many people are leaving negative reviews. Imagine going to a feed store, where blue collar workers and farmers go that actually sweat and work all day, to complain about people not wearing masks. For God’s sake. Glad to see at least one company in America is keeping it American.

They should play Futures Mask Off in the store non-stop lol. Love it. All the hating sheep should go back to Lowes with the rest of the muzzled cattle.

Love to see businesses standing up against tyranny and standing for human freedom! It shouldn’t be up to businesses to enforce government overreach, not to mention, great people and amazing customer service! 10 out of 10, would recommend 👌🏻

Sold me the wrong feed when I literally showed them a picture of what I needed. I was told that they had never seen that product before and had no idea what I was talking about. When I came back to exchange, they insisted the feed I was looking for came in a red bag. I said fine, I’ll buy the red bag if it would be the correct feed this time. Lo and behold, when I went to pick it up from the loading dock, the bag looked exactly like the picture I had showed them (and had no red on it anywhere). Whoever’s working up front has no knowledge of their products and instead of asking someone who does for help, they just double down on being wrong. You could seriously hurt someone’s animal by giving them the wrong feed.

I am appalled by the lack of consideration this business takes to protect customers. They boldly walk around with no masks. It isn’t even posted to wear masks and when I asked the person who was loading my horse feed to just leave it where it was that I was trying to social distance, he smirked at me and dropped it with an attitude of defiance. I will not go there again and hope that you won’t either. They need to get in line with protecting our community or not have any business. It has come to this type of customer pressure we must do to protect our neighbors and friends, family and community.

We had a propane emergency at a rental and these guys totally helped us out! Fixed the tank, brought propane to fill it immediately.. were super nice..and wore masks the whole time.

Drive safe: 80 in a 60 is dangerous in a heavy duty truck with supplies in it. License plate jk-9927 at 2:17 pm March 11th, truck also cut off a row of cars to get on the interstate.

I have been a customer of southern states for a long time, but had to stop going in during the beginning of the pandemic. Not only do they not require customers to wear masks (per NC law) their employees are ALSO unmasked (this breaking NC law and endangering their customers and fellow employees). Very disappointing.

This store advertises curbside pickup, but the woman we spoke to on the phone refused us curbside pickup. We have a newborn baby, so going into any store at this point is too big of a risk for us. We will never bring our business here again, due to the utter lack of caring and poor advertising.Edited to add: My husband ended up speaking to John, the manager, and he took care of us!

The staff here is extremely unprofessional. The women here are way too laid back and will hold private conversations in front of customers. And when they finally do give you attention they can be somewhat rude. They have little knowledge of anything farm and garden related, so don’t even bother asking questions. We run a farm and would use this location as a last resort to find feed. We called to price a load of feed and Brittany told us she’d get back with us, which she never did (this happens quite often with this location). After several times of calling her back she finally gave us a price that was WAY too overpriced. So we decided to call another SS which is a good ways away from us and got a much cheaper price (weird since it should have been the same price). When we asked Brittany why it was so high she claimed a man (I forgot the name) had given her the price. When we called corporate we found out that the man had not worked there in over a year. She simply made up a price since she was too lazy to call! It’s an ok store if you’re looking to get in and out quick, but don’t expect professionalism and definitely don’t ask questions because they have no idea about anything.

I am a new customer and so far the service has been outstanding! The people I have dealt with have been gracious and knowledgeable. In fact this type service is what I grew up with on an East Tennessee dairy farm and I thought it had disappeared from the world but BAM I’ve found sanity in service again. Great farm and garden store. They carry about any feed that you need. Loading dock can get a little slow and backed up. The ladies up front are great. Sure beats the big box store (TSC)!

By far the least helpful staff. I went in to learn about what would be appropriate for my yard and grass and brought in a sample to be sent off for assessment. Instead of helping, the cashier just listed off the fertilizer types they had in stock and looked at me like I was annoying her with my questions. Never going back. Avoid at all cost.

We had been getting our propane deliveries from them for the past 22 years with reliable service. I called several weeks ago for a refill and got no delivery. I called back a week ago and was told that one of their drivers was out and they were trying to catch up. Still nothing. I called back yesterday morning and asked to speak to someone who knew what was going on because I needed to find another provider if they were not going to be able help me. Finally at 5:00 pm Gray called back and said it had been too wet. I told him it is dry here. He said it hasnt been dry for a year. He said their smaller truck was permanently out of commission and that they wouldnt be able to help me. I asked him why they didnt just tell me that in he first place. They are very disorganized and the left hand doesnt appear to know what the right hand is doing.

Most recently I had a series of propane systems installed such as a tank, lines into my house, two propane heaters, connected a range, and a set of gas logs. The installer Scott, always did a fair job and completed the work in timely segments but was always courteous and clean, and I trusted him in my house. The propane installation manager Grey Wells, REALLY went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of even through email on his days off by arranging to have propane delivered when we were in a pinch and for a great price. He has also overseen the projects and been in touch throughout. I highly recommend these guys for your propane needs and ag supply. Ive bought seed, fertilize, and other materials from this store for years also.

Great for birdseed, vegetable & flower seeds and starter plants. Good selection of tomato starts. Bales of hay. Baby chicks

Awful. Stay away. Spend money anywhere else. Staff is rude and careless.They have baby chicks for sale currently, I told the staff some of the chicks needed attention or would die. They had poop crusted to butt so they could no longer excrete their bowel movments.All you need to do to save them is wash off poop. The cashier refused. I spent a half hour of my time washing at least 20 chicks myself. I will never be back and will tell anyone I know to stay away.You suck southern states, hope you go out of business!!! Please stop purchasing animals. Clearly you do not take it seriously.
