Fantastic shopping experience here! Unique and beautiful clothing at reasonable prices, nothing fuddy duddy about it. I liked the variety to different sweaters, skirts and jackets, and their taste in consignment/sale was to my liking. The young lady at the desk was very friendly and I ended up with a great little cashmere sweater! Thank you Clothes Encounters!

Some cute clothes but mostly only sizes S/M/L, and pricing doesnt always seem to reflect the actual quality of the individual pieces. They offered very few articles in XL-- basically nothing past a size 10. To put that in perspective, 68% of American women wear a size 14 or larger.Additionally, none of the three women working were wearing a mask in spite of the citywide mandate.

Found some great deals on the $5 rack outside. Ive been lucky before this way, which is why it pays to stop by often.

Clothes Encounters is amazing. I came in 20 mins before close but wish Id had hours and hours to spend there. So many cute pieces, and pretty reasonable prices. Im a big fan of the tiered pricing that gets cheaper the longer its in store. The woman working was very kind, especially for letting me leave a bit late. When Im back in Asheville, this is the first place Im coming!!

Best consignment store in Asheville!! Everything is organized beautifully since the new owner has hired new staff.. every is organized by color and size. Amazing designer finds for unbelievable prices, super friendly staff who will pull the perfect thing of you ask for help. I found a short the other day that still had the tag on it for $189 and was marked down to $40. Anyone who hasn’t been in in the last month should revisit and also check out the Instagram @clothesencountersavl awesome new content every day.

Great store and products, but pricing is a bit sketchy. My total came to around $80 when I checked out, but then a couple days later I got the charge on my credit card for double that amount. Didn’t give me a receipt and never was able to get ahold of anyone. Make sure to keep the tags on the items and get a receipt!

Such a great place to drop in to find something unique. Great Vintage pieces! Well organized, merchandised and clean.

Decent shop, found a few good items, but turned off by the confusing price tag system and REALLY turned off by the shady secret 3.5% credit card processing fee, which wasnt shared with me until I inquired about the extra fee on my receipt. Especially with no ATM in store, were past the time in which you pass that charge onto your customers. The prices are good, but not that good.

I’ve had positive experiences here before and have found a lot of cute clothing items for an affordable price. At the same time, the plus size selection is pretty limited and I really wish that they would bring in more sizes above a 10!

Excellent experience!! Covid safe and great procedures in store and very clean!! Merchandise was a very thoughtfully curated collection! Great prices and super friendly service!! So lucky this place is in my neighborhood but I would travel across town to shop here!

I will never consign there again... I took her very, very, nice articles and after 3mo. I have 30.00. Never bothered to let me know. Articles are the reward of hers after 3 mo. I guess she just made money off of me. I take my things to a boutique now that I get my check the 15th of each mo. The previous owner was way better!!!!!!!

I absolutely adore this eclectic charming consignment shop. I have been frequenting for many years. I go in knowing I will find an amazing new outfit. There consigners are the absolute best and most all clothes are practically new and always stylish. I like the fact that they have large variety of styles and labels. You will moast likely not see yourself any place around time. The owner and staff are friendly and happy to offer suggestions or opinion of how outfit looks on you. Earlier today I stopped in and had great experience talking with Anna Grace. I found several things but my boyfriend was waiting so I going back in morning to decide and purchase. By the way the jewelry fantastic,too!

I went in today and was just amazed at all of the incredibly unique merchandise! the shop gal who was there today, Sydney, was the sweetest, most bubbly, helpful employee ever, she helped me style a stellar outfit that i never wanted to take off! 10/10 would come back to shop here!ps whoever the buyer is has an incredible eye for goodies!

Good selection of clothes in the store, but the staff were either not wearing masks at all or had them down to their chins. A bit disappointed in the lack of health concern, but seemed like a good shop overall.

CLOTHES ENCOUNTERS in Asheville, NC is an impeccably neat, organized and well designed shop with a plethora of quality cloth-ing and accessories. So delighted I discovered this place!

Yikes. Avoid this place. I’ve been twice recently and had a terrible customer service experience. Once with the owner who completely ignored my presence as well as the presence of another customer. The owner and a man were busy working on something and were too busy with that to even greet us, or check the other customer out who was waiting at the counter with purchases. I decided I’d never go back after that but I decided to give it another chance today. I left empty handed because the person working barely said hello to me, did not look up from her phone once, and was not wearing a mask. I will not support a business that doesn’t respect the mask ordinance and who doesn’t seek to care to provide even the bare minimum of customer service. Plenty of other great shops to visit in Asheville.

I’ve been taking clothes there for a year-I wear Eileen Fisher almost exclusively. They are very friendly and helpful to me in advising what will sell best. I’m downsizing! Took friends with me and they loved the selections! Highly recommend them!

Wonderful selection and very kind staff! Ive shopped here a few times since moving to Asheville next summer and recommend you check it out. There are always new things available and some pretty nice sales from time to time. I especially love that theres a fitting room and large mirror. I purchased all of my coats from here this winter and I havent been disappointed with the quality.

Just visiting this particular shop as I often do whenever I visit the area and I must say that the level of customer service was quite poor and pretty much nonexistent. It appeared that the owner preferred “catching up and chatting it up” with a friend rather than extending customer service and good ol’ mountain hospitality to someone visiting the area. Understand that the shop is a consignment shop, but the owner was more concerned about the time period that something had been in the shop rather than acknowledging obvious imperfections in an item and extending the requisite customer service to make someone who doesn’t frequent the shop feel welcome or provide the necessary additional markdown. Will definitely spend my dollars where someone appreciates them as well as acknowledges me the next time I return to the area.

The clothes are beautiful and at a great price. They also have amazing sales from time to time. Last but not least they also offer clean, roomy dressing rooms.

Wonderful Boutique!!! Trish took her time with me to pick out clothes for my upcoming vacation. She was attentive, gracious and honest. All the clothes and accessories she showed me were exactly my style. Every item was so nice, it was hard to believe they were used. I ended up purchasing 24 items. Came in for the first time after seeing good reviews. Only people inside were the older crowd so Im getting the feeling its more for 50+. All pants were standard $35 which defeats the whole purpose of thrifting! If Im gonna spend that much Id go to a regular store. If youre into expensive thrift stores and youre a bit older, youll probly love it. If not, dont waste your time.

Nice shop, selection is not that great, prices are rather expensive and ladies can be rather snooty tooty. Many prices are $35 +, some items for older ladies.
