Really cool spot among a bunch of cool art studios, breweries, restaurants, skate park, and other fun spots. Drinks were really good, great ingredients and flavors. Definitely going to be a go to spot. Lots of space inside and outside to set up a laptop and work. Plenty of people doing just that. Have both coffee, sodas, and beers, some snacks and deserts. Will be back for sure. See photos: surrounded by really cool graffiti and wall art

Good coffee - single origin light roasted beans. One single origin espresso that was well made into a flat white with almost no bitterness- best I’ve had in Asheville so far.Atmosphere - calm, relaxing, open spaces with comfortable decor and lots of seating. Industrial Arts districts reclaimed wonder. Over the top hip and cool but with substance, doesn’t rub you the wrong way at all. The coffee and the small bites, bagels, coffee cake etc are all solid. I had a great pour over. It’s covered I. Graffiti and has an exposed wooden frame inside. I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s a raw denim mill hiding in here. Interesting dine-in experience of having to mask up between bites and sips. an establishment that disregards science and panders to fear?though logically, they should close down dine-in and only offer take-out, like other coffeeshops do. but then requiring to mask-up between bites and sips defies logic.did not see any wipe down of surfaces after guests left. apparently, there is no fear of spreading through contact with surfaces though science says otherwise. at least they are consistently defying logic and science 🤷‍♀️

I called to ask if the coffee shop was open for indoor seating and said we’re coming to Asheville from Floridaand one of the staff who picked up replied in a patronizing tone... “oh great...Wear a mask!” and then hung up the phone on me. I couldn’t believe how rude she was. Perhaps she should stick to decaf. Hopefully this divided behavior isn’t a reflection of the mentality among other Asheville businesses. Either way, looks like we won’t be visiting this coffee shop after all.

Very rude staff. Came here to grab a local coffee only to be attended by a rude gentlemen. He asked what we would would like, we asked for a moment to look at the menu. He immediately replied with “just so you know, we close in 4 minutes”. We ordered our latte after feeling as we imposed on them. When we received our coffees, they got the order completely wrong (type of milk). I wanted a large whole milk latte and my girlfriend wanted a small almond latter. We got a small whole milk latte and she got a large almond latte. I would have asked to have this fixed, but would have hated to ask them to fix their mistake since they were obviously in a rush to leave.

Poor Service, Low Quality Beverages - When the board at a coffee company lists only one drip brew, you should beware. When you ask the guy behind the counter whats in the blend and he tells you to go read the bag, you should leave. Sorry we didnt. I have tried REALLY hard to like Summit Coffee. They are in a cool location and have so much potential - but the customer service is just so bad. I have been 4-5 times recently, and the first time my latte was barely warm. Next time I asked for it extra hot, and it was barely warm again. Each time I have asked for it piping hot, and the baristas response was we measure the temperature with our hand. Which I know to be true since Ive worked at a coffee shop. That being said, make it extra hot! The other baristas hardly acknowledge your presence when serving you. PASS.

If I could, I would give this place no stars. Came in there, greeted with attitude right away. When my friend asked the batista for personal suggestions, they gave her one word answers, rolled their eyes, etc. After we got our drinks, they kept asking us if there was anything else we needed, glaring at us to get out, even though there were others around. The experience always overshadows the quality of the coffee, good or bad. But the coffee was mediocre and the service was despicable. Never going back. Never recommending to anyone. Do NOT come here, unless you want to have a bad day.

Nice location but customer service is not good here. The workers are unprofessional, disorganized, and seem to really not care. For instance, the barista messed up my drinks multiple times, drinks don’t taste the same, and restrooms are not clean. They also have this unwelcoming demeanor to specific customers (trust me, I have been there enough times to notice that). With proper management, I can see that the coffee shop has the potential to grow but its current state is in a shambles. So to change my work environment, I went to the Odd’s Café for the first time today (I’ve heard good things but never been). Customer service, the taste of the coffee, ambiance, and cleanliness of the café exceeds expectations.

Review №99

I stopped in this place passing thru Asheville as it was one of the highest rated in town. This place seems to be proud of oats... Staff was more interested in their own stuff, less than friendly but not rude. But isnt that what coffee shop employees are supposed to act like in good quality coffee shops? I mean why would you want to be happy and welcoming to someone whos gonna spend 10 dollars on two drinks?I noticed that masks were required, and also noticed that the 4 customers sitting at the tables for a prolonged stay did not have masks on. Maybe employees got lax or scared about mask rules after the other review with the people who didnt like getting told to wear masks?Onto the coffee review. I got a drip brew and a maple pecan latte. It was sweetened nicely, not too sweet. The temperature on the latte was okay, I didnt get to see the foam itself cause the barista capped the latte. Maybe thats a good thing because of all the maskless patrons hanging out putting their breaths into the recirculating HVAC system. Something funny about the ethiopian drip brew. Not bright and fruity, but maybe even a little vinegarie (if thats even a word). It was okay though. A cup of Trader Joes uganda specialty release is just as good...oh yeah I said it, Your drip is on par with Trader Joes coffee. The main reason this place got three stars is that they dont carry half and half? I asked for the maple pecan latte to be made as a breve, but they dont have half and half so thats impossible. Im really confused as too why they wouldnt. And I am genuinely interested in why you as a coffee shop do not have it, if someone who reads these reviews in management wants to let me know. Maybe there is a good reason Im not aware of. Watch, Ill be a big dummy if the management write back to this review and says they usually have it but were just out of supply when I was there. If so, the rest of this review can be ignored. I didnt ask the checkout guy because he repeated the same thing twice to me and in a somewhat robotic fashion when I inquired twice, just to make sure I heard him right, that there was no half and half available. I asked him twice because I was wondering what kind of cream I would put in my drip coffee. So I decided not to ask why at the time since he seemed less than interested in my surprise.I dont know if they are trying to make a statement of some sort? Maybe there is no room in the fridge because of all the oat milk? Many high-end coffee shops wouldnt think of leaving half and half off of their menu. For example, Coava, Stumptown, Coffee House Northwest, Sterling Coffee Roasters, Barista, Cafe Vita, and Case Study, to name a few, all have half and half. All make breves and have half and half for your drip brew. Even Coava, who only recently added honey, to be able to sweeten any of their coffee drinks with, has half and half or cream. Yes they are pretty much purists there at Coava, but still they have half and half. So Im not sure what kind of statement, if any, is trying to be made with this being off the menu. But dont worry for me, dont cry because they deprived me of half and half. Fortunately I had some half and half in my car in a cooler cause I had been camping. I promptly put it into my coffee. I also had some almond biscotti in my car to go with my drip coffee to help comfort me. If you had a nickel for every time I wrote half and half in this review you could afford a sip of coffee in this cream free coffee shop.
