First time at BattleCat loved the frozen green tea! Simple, smooth and delicious. Will definitely be coming back. All the wall artwork is awesome as well.

Delicious breakfasts and great coffee options to start the day. Indoor seating is minimal but cozy. Outdoor seating is more plentiful but not the most comfortable. An outdoor seating upgrade would have brought my review to five starts of this cute café.

Wonderful ambiance, new outdoor covered seating since Id last been. Tasty drinks, I had Vietnamese Iced Coffee and my sun got a Frozen French Vanilla Drink. Picked up a cute battle cat patch.

I worked out of this space for two days while on the road + staying in the Asheville area. They were so accommodating of me having meetings + the staff was super pleasant, efficient + cool people. I’m grateful for their hospitality. Good spot for hangs + great artwork.

Great coffee with a great variety. The have vegan options and a fun artsy environment. Maintains a younger crowd and is usually packed. But a fun experience. You can hang out with friends and the workers are very kind and helpful.

Such a cool and unique atmosphere for a coffee shop! Drinks were delicious, espresso on point! Beautiful artwork and cool little knick-knacks to purchase. Perfect place to stop when you’re on the road and craving something delicious without having to drive deep into the city or walk in to a bougie typical cafe. 11/10 would recommend!

Just depends which barista you get. Ive asked for hot 4 days in a row and got iced. Asked for a Thai tea, got Thai coffee. Tried to just say something to the barista about the Thai coffee not being tea, was then told they dont have Thai tea and was offered no replacement. Didnt feel like the attitude I want in my mornings. I like the outside seating and Tiger Bay is so good. (Attached restaurant)

Parking is VERY limited. The drinks are really good, though and so are the employees. We stopped here because of the cool name, to be entirely honest, while on a road trip. So I bought a mug to take home. Love the battle cat!

Do you know those times when the coffee is so good it stays with you for the rest of the day? You keep thinking about it and are almost afraid to go back fearing that next time it will only be really good and not amazing? That was my experience this morning when I got a cappuccino at this fun, eclectic coffee shop.First off, it was a true cappuccino, not just a latte with a little less milk. And the foam was perfect. And most importantly, the espresso was amazing.

Randomly stopped here for breakfast and were so so pleasantly surprised by how much we loved it! The breakfast sandwich was awesome, and it’s such a cute little spot to hang out at.

Best salmon lox bagel in Asheville. I’m a regular here. Great themed coffee bar and with lots of great food. Wide variety. If you’re in west Asheville you should def check this place out, try the Thai and Vietnamese coffee. They are super Dog friendly and have a lot of nice seating options. Chai and golden milk are also always a solid choice. The Bacon was the perfect amount of crips. Would recommend:Note: Battle cat is DRINKS ONLY, the same building has food under a separate LLC called Tiger bay. due to covid they are still requiring online ordering from their website for food. You can call in and place an order but you have to get it from tiger bays website.

This place is a local haven. Lots of weirdness and local character. If you show up in your Sundays best youre going to geta lot of weird looks from people with green and pink hair.

Cute little coffee and breakfast/brunch spot located in West Asheville. Within walking distance to the heart of West Asheville, and plenty of parking in the surrounding area. I love the constantly fluctuating art on the walls, this establishment supports local artists. Great coffee, pleasant and professional staff. Absolutely delicious bagels, I just tried the lox bagel and nearly cried it was so good. Plenty of outdoor seating.

Completely found this gem during my visit to Asheville and I am so glad I did. The staff suggested their cold brew and they were so right. That cold brews flavor was amazing. We also tried an espresso and a latte; everything was worth another stop at BattleCat during my next visit.

I have always had prompt attentive service at BattleCat... I look forward to going there to see local artists prominently displayed. I love the fun atmosphere and the quality of the food/coffee is always 100%. Ive been going for years - often I take Clingman to Haywood when going into West Asheville so that I can park easily right out front and hop in. I pass 4 other coffee shops to get to my BattleCat coffee. Thats right yall.

I visited this little local coffee shop recently. While the iced coffee chai was delicious and the food prep area was very clean I gave this three stars. We were not allowed to sit inside even socially distanced with masks and there was very little shade outside. We were too hot to really enjoy our drinks. I would Definately recommended BattleCat for pick up.

The coffee is fine, and the service was responsive. The patio is great if you like hanging out on a playground on a busy street with a view of a lumberyard.

My kids (13 & 15) and I needed a place with drinks and WiFi where we could also take our dog. BattleCat delivered with incredible drinks (iced Mexican Mocha for me) and great artwork. The relaxed atmosphere outside made for a lovely place to work or talk with others.

Dropped in for coffee for the road when heading from Asheville back to Raleigh. We have visited BattleCat before and really loved it. This is our first visit since COVID redefined restaurant/coffee shop/bar operations. BattleCat has handled this transition well and has created a safe, socially distanced environment while retaining its fun, funky charm. Guests wait for their order in a nice, large open space filled with art from a local collective or guests can wait on the welcoming porch or exterior seating area. Had the Brown Butter latte; one of their seasonal offerings. It was fantastic. I dont generally do flavored coffees because they can be too sweet but this was so well balanced retaining a bit of saltiness and the nuttiness you expect from browned butter. My daughter got homemade yerba mate while my husband had an iced mocha that he said was equally great. A super find in West Asheville!

House turned cafe with a distinctly artsy vibe and a slightly agro twist. Dont expect the coddling of corporate America here. If you dont know the deal, you may get sternly asked to stand in line and pay but they dont call this battlecat for no reason. Their mascot is a cat wielding a knife, so take that for what it is. The coffee is delicious, the bagels are crispy and tasty and there is some rad art on the walls from local artists. If you have a few extra bucks, you can flip through a collection of prints and support an artist while making your walls more colorful. Ill come back here next time Im in Asheville and maybe now that I know the deal, Ill be better prepared for the experience.

This has grown to become my every-other-day go-to coffee bar. The baristas are professional, kind, and make great drinks. The frozen chai is yummy on a hot day, though definitely for those with a sweet tooth. The iced chai and hot chai latte are excellent, and they make an awesome London fog, which I get with lavender and it milk. Their Thai latte and Mexican lattes are outstanding and the quality of the coffee is so good I bought a bag for home.Gotta love their bagels too, especially an Asiago bagel topped with bacon scallion cream cheese - a little smoky, a little cheesy, all delicious.The price is right and the atmosphere is artsy (literally - local art for purchase all over the interior walls). They support other local businesses and have evidence of their ethics all over the place. Love the courtyard lighting and outdoor seating options and highly appreciate their dedication to covid safety.

Nice coffee shop in a unique area of asheville. The coffee was enjoyable. The space was a little cramped. Lots of furniture that made it difficult to walk around. The cafe they also have looked good and yet did not enjoy any of their food.

One star because in short, their actual coffee tastes no better than gas station coffee. Actually, Ive had better gas station coffee. So, if you like a good, bold cup of coffee then this is not your place. I feel like if your business name has the word coffee in it you probably should invest in some decent coffee and learn how to make it.The vibe was cool, the food smelled delicious (I didnt eat there) so I will give them that.

Appreciate they are still open (8am-2pm) during the pandemic 🙏🏾 They are taking exemplary measures to make sure staff and customers are safe by cleaning everything thoroughly and no contact with debit cards or personal mugs 👍🏾.I came by desperate for caffeine and was greeted with a friendly smile and positive attitude despite what’s going on outside- very appreciated to be in that energy! I got a yummy slice of banana bread with my delicious rose and lavender latte. The bread was super soft and fresh and the latte was drinkable right away which I LOVED. When you are exhausted you don’t want to have to wait for your drink to cool or risk being burned on the tongue lol.I hope they are able to stay open during this pandemic, they are one of the few remaining open coffee shops in town 😢. Great coffee, great price and off street parking make this a go-to for me now, even though I live in a north asheville- worth the drive! 😃

Great coffee in a casual atmosphere thats a great space to connect to Wifi and knock out some work. The space is light and airy and offers decent outdoor seating as well.The coffee is great and the service is quick.If youre looking for a space for a meeting or a quick break, its a worthwhile stop. Parking on that side of Haywood Ave. is usually relatively easy to find, so its easy to get in and out.
