As they are currently the only ski shop in town I’ve purchased various items over the years, and the service has always been on par with a big box store. Today I wanted to buy ski pants and boots, but I ended up renting boots and not getting the pants. I attempted to get someone to help with the boots to no avail, and contrary to their website they didn’t have pants in my size and price range. The rental staff were pleasant, and they explained the website provides inventory for all five stores without an option to select a store. The rental inventory was sparse.

Bought my daughter her first nice board set up from here. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They also help with maintenance and ongoing upkeep of your gear to keep it going for years to come.

Had a great experience here with Parker, it was my first time buying boots and he explained everything in detail and found me a great deal on them as well. He made sure that they molded them too my feet before i left as well!! Come here for all your needs!!

If you need to rent skis in the Asheville area, just go straight to the ski resort and get them there!

Going in to buy boots, can’t try on boots unless you bring socks or buy there’s which are 25 bucks 50 percent off but tacked on to your 300 dollar boots. Saying it’s a COVID policy don’t think you get COVID-19 through your feet. In that case everyone needs to be wearing gloves. Horrible service will never go there again

Excellent service. Craig is very knowledgeable in boots and fitting and won’t over sale you for what you don’t need. Got a pair of snowboard boots and heat molded, it fit perfectly. Forget about ordering boots online to save 30-40 bucks, come to store and get all the service, it’s totally worthy.

Best customer service and definitely would recommend! Justin and Kenny were very helpful in sizing and getting the boots we needed! SKI COUNTRY SPORTS ARE THE BOMB!

I give Ski Country Sports five stars for kind and compassionate employees. I know almost nothing about bikes, so when mine fell apart on my way home in the rain I was extremely glad I was just a few yards from their shop. I rolled it in, and they had my bike ready to go in no time at all.I also bought my helmet and tires at Ski Country, and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what I would need.If you need advice or help with your bike I absolutely recommend Ski Country Sports and their polite, sociable and sympathetic employees.

This has been my 25 yr snowboard and recent years mountain bike goto in AVL. Craig is a straight shooter and Kenny has helped lots w/ all purchases (and in not trying to sell unneeded stuff). You cant go wrong here I think... knowledgeable staff & highly recommended.

Ski Country is my go-to place when I need to rent or buy any ski equipment. They have great prices, a good selection to choose from, and the staff is really friendly and helpful.

Always super helpful and not pushy, whether its getting ski/snowboard setups or bike stuff done.

Weak customer service. Called ahead to make sure they were still open in order to grab snow pants; confirmed they closed at 6:00 pm, and arrived at 5:32 pm to be turned away and the employee said he would not open up the store despite the call ahead of verbal confirmation and store signs that indicated closing hour at 6:00 pm.

My favorite bike shop in Asheville. Mechanics go out of their way to help, even when busy.
