Unusual eclectic items and friendly fun dont miss
The Best!
Spontaneously walked into a drag show, it was great!
King quirky! Toys, electronica, circuit bent bobs, records, tapes, clothes, antiques, things from your and other peoples childhood that mean something. Ive been 5 or 6 times and still feel i havent seen everything or maybe it keeps changing. Or maybe i keep changing my meds.Next door to Sly Grog which is kind of the event space for the amazingly displaced and a great place to get a drink.
If you are looking for an eclectic gift at an affordable price, a circuit board repair technician, needing to find a place to sell/buy vintage/eclectic clothing and/or jewelry, or just buy a pack of cigarettes... This is your place! (Edit: Do NOT bring your sensitive equipment here to be repaired. They are not instrument repair technicians. My guitar pick-up was returned to me cracked, with painters tape around the wires. It stopped working after two gigs, which is when I discovered the shoddy repair. Still... 3 stars because the shop is awesome).
Good place. Friendly helpful people. I come here to chill till the time to catch my next bus. Love it here. Cheep food to snack on :)
Ive been there a few times and theres sometimes fun stuff to look at. Went today and the old bald guy who checks you out (has more hair on his upper back than his head) was very rude to me. I got a record player for Christmas and I found five 45s I wanted.I offered $5 for them (price tags added up to $7), and the guy went on a rant about how thats not how the place works. Then, before I could say anything else he started checking out the guy behind me.
What a magical place, a treasure hunters paradise and arent we all after buried treasure in one form or another? The thing that really sets the DTM apart is the eclectic nature that permeates every aisle. It is a must for every local resident and visitor as well. As an added bonus, the Sly Grog and Hopeys make wonderful bookends to explore after those special treasures are found!
Full of baby effigies, looks like a demonic ritual site. Highly recommend on Halloween
Excellent
When we read about this place online before heading to town, we thought it sounded like it would be neat. We wandered around for 5 minutes and didnt see anything of interest. We also werent greeted by any staff. Ive certainly been to a lot of indoor flea market type places and know they can vary depending on what they have available, but ultimately I just wasnt impressed.
Toys, vintage clothes, unique music gear. The ultimate Asheville gift shop.
Vintage shopping paradise. Excellent for browsing. Books, records, clothes, furniture, antiques, toys. Then go next door for a drink at The Sly Grog.
Great place to get a drink or listen to live music
Unique and fun. One of a kind
Great bargains on great foods. Love the staff too, friendly and helpful.
Lots of nice vintage pieces.
