We got a food scale as a gift in late May but hadnt had an opportunity to use it till September. It wasnt working so we took it back to the store for a replacement. The young man who helped us was great. He opened the battery compartment so we could make sure it worked properly. Unfortunately, we didnt know the return policy was 30 days (ridiculous) and were told that we had to pay an additional $10 for the scale because the price had gone up. No such thing as an even swap since the original scale was broken. Not impressed.

I have had the WORST customer service from Williams-Sonoma, a company I have previously done business with and been very happy. I ordered glasses to be delivered. They arrived with half the glasses; other half did not ship. I spent two hours on the phone with the customer service folks explaining what part of the order was wrong, getting the correct order put in and ensuring that the order went to the right place. 30 minutes later, i received an email indicating that the glasses wouldnt arrive for 3 weeks, and therefore i needed to have them sent to a different address as i will no longer be at this address in three weeks. Today the glasses arrived to the address three weeks early, and i am at the other address. Now i have to call a neighbor to get the big box, drive the box myself to the other address next summer, all while spending hours on the phone with W-S who are very nice on the phone but cant fix their internal problems with communication/shipping. I asked for credit for the glasses for all my trouble and was offered $10!. Wont patronize this previously wonderful company again.

Kitchen & Company transplants review. William-Sonoma is a much smaller store but still has a sizeable selection for the home cook. This was my first visit. I found what I was looking for and saw a few things I may go back for. Its a little pricey (like $40 or $50 set of measuring cups, I think it was) but its not bad. Give it a shot.

Great customer service. I was looking for a very specific kitchen item. They took the time to pull up for reviews on several different brands they carried. I was much more confident with much purchase. The staff was super friendly and parking was easy I. The garage.

I like the merchandise in this store, but the visit today really left a bad taste in my mouth. Was looking for a few items for my husband, but was *completely*ignored by the staff - not even a hello. I was probably shopping for about 20 minutes. When I went to the counter to pay for what I did find on my own, I asked a staff person if I was waiting at the correct register and was very abruptly and abrasively told I will get to you as soon as I finish what I am doing. Fortunately, the older lady who came over to ring up my purchase was much more pleasant or this review would be one star. I am pretty surprised, since I have shopped at this location a few times in the past and always previously found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. We all have bad days, but I surely wish this lady had kept her negativity to herself today. 🙁

Staff was very nice. Offered multiple types of coffee to us when we walked in. Cashier also gave us a list of several great restaurants to try in the area. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful store. Super friendly staff. Try their Nespresso compatible coffee pods. Delicious and frequently on a decent discount. They survey customers after every purchase and are very focused on customer experience.

Kevin taught a class on cooking Mexican food on an Instant Pot that was interesting. He was very entertaining, too. If you find an Instant Pot intimidating, sign up for his next class now. :-). I also like the way the store displayed all its beautiful and functional cookware.

Today I received the customer service Williams Sonoma is famous for. I returned an item that was no longer under their warranty, and the manager took care of it anyway. While there might be cheaper options out there, this is the reason I have never been disappointed by Williams Sonoma. Plus, their gourmet items cant be beat.

It has taken five phone calls to get a return processed. Someone purchased items from Williams-Sonoma as a gift for me, and sent them to my parents address. I didnt need the items, and there was no store near my parents, so on 7/11/18 I called to WS Customer Service inquire about returning, was told to process the return by phone instead of on-line (I DONT recommend doing this -- its been disaster ever since). I was sent a link for the return slips, and while I was on the phone I noticed they didnt work. I told the customer service rep, and she said someone would have to call me the next day. Really? Im one the phone right now, telling you they dont work. Well, no one called me back.So I emailed customer service a couple days later. No response. Now, I was due to return to my home. So I had to take the unwanted gifts with me. I have a store in my hometown, so I tried to return the items to the Asheville store, but was told I was unable to do that since I was sent the return slips to mail the items back via UPS (the aforementioned ones that didnt work). The manager did, however, tell me if I called WS Customer Service and had further problems to let her know. So I called WS Customer Service again. They cleared the return slips, and I could now return the items to the store.But its not over. I was due to be mailed two gift cards. Only one arrived. So again I called WS Customer Service, and was told to wait another five days. Really? They were both processed on the same day! Obviously, something happened to one of them.So I waited, the gift card didnt show up, I called. They issued another gift card to replace the one I never got. I asked to speak to a manager as I dont think it fair to leave a bad review until Ive tried to talk to a manager. I was told I was being transferred, and then was disconnected.These gifts were given to me for my wedding. I didnt have a registry with WS. Thankfully! I cant imagine having to deal with them for any more gifts.The store in Asheville was helpful in me using the one gift card I did get, but despite that, my experience with WS has been so poor I would not recommend any bride register with them.

Walked into this store with my fiance and we were ignored by every employee in this store and it was not that busy. An employee greeted the older lady standing next to us at the entrance table and even made a joke with her and just walked by us like we were not even there. Very disappointing.
