New to the area, I started going to Melissa for a cut and color in November. She started by analyzing my hair color to matching artificial strands and lifting my hair around my face. I have been to her four different times now and I always leave feeling I got an exceptional cut and color. She has almost an artistry to her work and her soft and calming demeanor makes for a special day for me, leaving me feeling quite pampered. I would rate her at the highest level above all the other stylists I have used over the years!

We had an awesome experience with our first visit to Cheveux today. My daughter needed her hair cut and she hasn’t had much luck with the chain shops getting the style right. We were in Asheville and I searched for places nearby and Cheveux was on the top of the list. We stopped in to see if they had any openings. They told us they could fit her in around 4:00. We come back at 4:00 and the place was super busy. They checked her in and we sat down to wait. Jared the owner came over and told us the artist that we were scheduled with was running behind and offered to cut my daughters hair. I showed him a couple of pics of what she was looking for and off they went. 20 minutes later she had the perfect hair cut she’d been wanting and we were done. It’s not often you get that kind of service any more. Everyone there was friendly and helpful and made us feel like we’d been going there for years. My daughters hair looks amazing and she had a great experience. We will definitely be back. Thanks Cheveux for taking care of us today. We truly appreciate it!

Holy cow. Jeremy is the best, and I love this place. I moved here a year ago and had my hair butchered by a girl at Notch Collective. I was really apprehensive to try a new place after feeling terrible about my haircut for so long. BUT I’m sooo glad I did. Jeremy gave me a wonderful haircut and I’m in love. Ive had several appointments with Melissa Crooms now, and she is really awesome! I feel very welcomed and relaxed around her. She knows how to work with curly hair well which is important to me. She is also always very supportive and excited when I want to try something new! (She is also honest about communicating pros and cons about styles that maybe dont last long or require a lot of maintenance, which I appreciate very much.) The salon itself is super clean and the environment is relaxing and comfortable. It is in a nice area. It has always been easy for me to find parking. All around great experience! I figured I would try this salon out since it was closer to me than my typical salon and it had decent reviews and I really regret my decision. I requested a balayage and showed pictures of what I had in mind, and left the salon with a totally different look.I should have know this was going bad when she was toning my hair and asked if when we discussed a “caramel” color if I meant a red caramel.. I expressed my concern with it once my hair was dry and she didn’t offer to fix it, just acted like I was wasting her time.I had to push back my engagement photos because I’m embarrassed to have this hairstyle in them. I’ll be returning to Brush It Off in Hendersonville to fix this mess.

I initially chose Chevaux because of the great location in Biltmore Park. Ive had my hair cut there by several stylists and all are great, but Id like to give a special shout out to Melissa Crooms. Ive absolutely loved my curly cut from her every time I go, and shes the main reason I keep coming back. Shes extremely professional and I respect her tremendously for being a veteran and serving her country. I am proud to say she is the first stylist Ive seen consistently which may seem surprising to some, but Im pretty simple when it comes to my hair so Ive never seen the need to chose someone and stick with that stylist, until now! She makes me feel like my best self, and I enjoy her company. Im not a very chatty person, and I think she brings the right balance between friendly conversation and quiet time to enjoy the pampering. Thank you Melissa! I highly recommend her.

Kellie colored my hair blue and it looks amazing! After a bad breakup, I wanted to rediscover myself and I have honestly never felt so confident in my life. I have been coming to Cheveux for almost 3 years, and have been exclusively seeing Caitlin for 2 of them. She is absolutely amazing! She is very knowledgeable and takes excellent care of my hair. We currently are working on making my black hair silver. And the way she is doing it ensures that my hair stays soft, silky, and most importantly, doesn’t break or become damaged. I’ve referred countless people to her and they all love her too! I will never let anyone else touch my or my kids hair again!

I got my haircut about 3 months ago, first time at the salon. The atmosphere and the stylist were both nice.My haircut had a chunk on my right side that looks a lot longer than the rest of my hair, so instead of a sloping line, its stairs.I also had my undercut trimmed, and gave the stylist creative freedom on a design, but the shape/Diamond line on the side was messed up, and no longer a straight line on the side. Design was ok but had a weird line that just didnt look right.After the cut, I quite a bit of hair on my face (from framing hairs trimmed), but was ushered to the front to pay. I only rate this negatively because my experience with other same priced salons; they would make sure that most of the hairs cut were off me before leaving (even when getting bangs).

I came in for a last minute hair appointment at Cheveux and I couldnt have been more impressed. Everything was exceptional from the sweet receptionist (Chelsea, I believe) who made me feel at home to the extremely talented stylist Jeremy. I would highly recommend Jeremy to anyone who is in need of a stylist. He worked very well with my tangled/ wavy hair and was very reasonably priced for the wonderful job he did with my hair. Lovely salon with wonderful staff all around. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

I got balayage done with Kellie and when it was finished my blonde highlights looked slightly gray..(I am 20 years old) I blamed it on the lighting in the salon. I didnt realized until I got home and looked in my bathroom mirror that they were dark gray! I read online that this happens when the toner is left in too long. I then tried the online remedies to fix it since I had to work the next day and didnt want to go in with dark gray hair. I scheduled a fix with Kellie and when I got to the salon I was welcomed with a rude attitude asking me what the problem was. I obviously said my hair is silver now and it was dark gray before I did the online remedy of stripping the toner from my hair. She acted like she made no mistake and that my hair was never gray. Worst attitude I have ever received in any service. She never admitted a mistake and instead said that I was wrong in explaining what I wanted.. Never did I say the words gray or silver. I mean I literally showed her a photo of a golden blonde balayage that I wanted! Not to mention I paid over $250 dollars for all of this... I have never written a review in my life, I just want to prevent this happening to someone else. I have been going to this salon for four years on and off, this was the first bad experience so im giving them at least a 2/5.

I really appreciate the steps this salon has taken to be able to open and keep its patrons safe! They added an HVAC upgrade to provide better airflow, are requiring patrons to wait outside until called in so they can check temperature and use hand sanitizer at the door. There is a shield at the reception desk and masks are required. There is even a cup to put used pens so theyll be sanitized in between users. Way to adapt Cheveaux! Nicely done!

I highly recommend Cheveux Salon and Stylist, Jared, especially if you have curly hair! Jared cuts my curly hair dry paying attention to each curl and the overall curl pattern. He also colors my hair and it looks so natural people comment that they believe it is! My hair looks great and it’s because of Jared’s expertise and knowledge of using the right cutting techniques with the proper styling products.

I went in Cheveux not knowing exactly what I wanted to do with my hair, but I knew I wanted something a little different. Caitlin listened to what I wanted and what I didnt want. She made some suggestions as to what she thought would look good and I went with it. She had vision, I trusted her and Im so glad that I did! Love my new color. Thanks Caitlin! I went to Cheveux after losing my long-term stylist/barber. I was irrationally nervous about finding a new go-to but the stylists at Cheveux were legit! My stylist, Jordan, was awesome and even helped suggest the right style for me (which I absolutely love!) I couldnt be happier with my experience and would highly recommend Cheveux to anyone (especially Jordan) in the same scenario. 5 stars, and this is my go-to from now on! 😊

Today was our first appointments, Kim did mine and Megan did my husbands. FINALLY two stylists who get us and cut hair to perfection. Poor Kim was on the receiving end of a huge hug from a near grateful stranger! We finally found our perfect hair salon.

Didnt just not give me what I asked for, they ruined my hair and cut it so short that it will take months to grow it back out. I told them what I wanted and they just did what they wanted. They took off over three inches of hair when I told them not to mess with the length.

The place is very friendly and the customer service is top notch. Jordan is my stylist and I could not be any happier with my haircut (her fades are one of a kind) Not sure if I like her cuts better or her personality.Make sure you request Jordan for your next appointment, thank me later.

Having naturally curly hair, I often feel like my cuts are either great for my curls, or look good straight, but rarely both. Melissa quickly put me at ease, listening to my thoughts on my hair and styling before applying highlights, cutting, and styling my mane. Overall the salon is cute. I went in with a friend and her hair turned out great! Mine was a completely different story. Went in for a blowout, curl and partial up do for a wedding. Lets just say a blowout here is literally getting your hair washed and blow dried. Nothing special. I had a couple curls put in my hair with no hair spray used. Basically a rats nest tease job and was sent on my way because they over booked appointments and somehow this was my fault. I rated them a 2 because my friends hair looked good. If you have to come here for hair I would use the master stylists guy.

Very pretty salon with a crew of skilled cutters. I patronize Melissa Crooms. She’s mastered my short haircut. Some of the stylists are a little on the pricey side. Costs vary depending on stylist. But they all appear very competent. Good parking.

Jordan was fantastic,Being a former hairdresser I get super nervous when people cut my hair because I’m just so picky!I felt so reassured with Jordan never questioned her talent and I’ve never had layers because of bad experiences! Today was my second salon visit with Megan Brow and I love her attention to detail! The prices are quite reasonable considering it is located in Biltmore Park. They use Goldwell and Oribe and have state of the art equipment and color. There are 2 men who are master stylists and wow! If I had curly or super complex hair then I’d definitely see them! The staff seems to make time & space for walk-ins and quite a few barbers do great work on super short hair and men. Everyone is friendly and not uppity and I HIGHLY recommend this salon to even the pickiest of salon-goers.. like me:)!

Thank God. My stylist moved and Ive been searching for someone to Do mycurls with deva the way she did. I found it here--finally. My stylist was patient and spent the extra time it takes to make my hair look perfect. The salon is nice and the chairs are super comfy. Love it! Thank you Jared.

Went to get a hi light- low light asked to see a color palette was informed by the stylist she new what she was doing. Needless to say it came out blended and nothing like the pictures I showed her. She did not listen to what I wanted. Could not tell my hair was even done was charged 180$ for me leaving the salon looking the same color. I expressed my dislike and was invited back to get the crown re- done once again refused to let me look at a color palette and when my hair is done I put it up its still dark. Was willing to repay to.have it done the way I wanted but was only allotted one hour. I never had a hair dressor just blatantly ignore what my request was. I will never go back to this salon and am very disappointed.

I really wanted to love my experience here but it fell short of my expectations. I have heard that Jared is awesome with wavy/curly hair, but instead I went with the first available stylist that is Deva trained. I didn’t feel the stylist really listened to me explain the situation that was my hair before I got it cut (slept on it wet, really long time since a cut, etc) and I ended up with the dreaded triangle hair! The shape of the cut generally was not what I asked for, in addition to the texture issue. I am wearing it up until I can get it corrected. I recognize that part of this is my fault because I trusted that the stylist knew better than I did what would work for my texture.

So disappointed that I made the mistake of coming here. Had a haircut here a while back that was a little pricey, but great. I went back recently for another cut and some highlights. I told her I wanted to brighten up my hair. She did the highlights and set me under the dryer. Ive been told I process quickly, so I let her know that. She replied I could tell that because Ive been doing this for a long time. Ill check on you in 15 minutes. She ended up taking another customer. 45 minutes later she came to get me. My highlights were all the way to white, so she applied a dark toner to cover her mistake. My blonde hair is now brown, darker than when I walked into the salon. And the bill was $195 plus tip. I will never be coming here again, and I dont reccomend them at all because they dont possess the service or skill to match their pricing.

Today was my first appointment at Cheveux Salon. I felt very welcome upon arriving, the place has a great vibe with the right attention to detail. Jared, the owner, has cut my hair for over two years. As always, I got an exceptional haircut.

Posted under my husband but I am a female: My girlfriends and I went into get our hair done before New Years Eve and we were very impressed with the salon and the stylists! Friendly and welcoming environment....would definitely recommend!

Came in for my birthday to get to get a cut. Caitlin did an amazing job and took the extra care needed for my long hair. Everyone here is super friendly and the salon is very beautiful. I will definitely be back.

So happy to have found Jeremy! I have NEVER had a better haircut and color! He fixed the bad hair “don’t” I walked in with and sent me on my way feeling like a million bucks. I woke up the next morning, gave it a little shake, and was on my way to work. After years of fighting my hair, it is finally manageable. Don’t let his quiet demeanor fool you. Jeremy is truly a gifted artist!
