Do not, under any circumstances, purchase any used vehicles from Harmony Motors of North Carolina. They clearly do not properly inspect the cars they are representing, not even from the brands they specialize in. My name is Jeremy, and these are the facts. This was my first time buying a car, and I was looking for an early Porsche Cayman S. I had been researching for almost two months and legitimately shopping for two weeks. The market at the time was holding really nice examples around 31K; and ones a bit rougher, or with high miles at 18K. Harmony Motors had a 2006 Porsche Cayman S listed at 25K, with 46,200 miles on the clock, a clean CARFAX, and good service history. I inquired about the car saying I was ready to make a deal because I was preapproved. I was convinced at the time that this was the best example I could buy within driving distance. In addition, it was being represented by a certified Porsche dealer. I was told that it wasn’t in perfect condition cosmetically, and I replied that I was more concerned about it being good mechanically because its purpose is to be a daily driver. I was then told that the car was on consignment and that the price was the price, and I agreed to put my money down. When I arrived at the dealership me and the salesman walked around the car and he told me that the rear tires, air filters, and front trunk struts were replaced. Before I could get behind the wheel for a test drive, a dash light came up when the salesman started the car. We drove it down to the service department to diagnose the code. He got a tech to read the code, however the tech didn’t know what it meant, and cleared it telling us to bring it back if it popped back up. The dash light didn’t come back during the test drive. The only things I noticed during my walk around and test drive was that the spoiler button wasn’t working, and the odometer was at 46,8XX miles. Once I had it for a few days, I started noticing issues. The speakers were blown and very muddy, the car doesn’t drive straight insead it veers to the right, and I filled up the windshield wiper fluid only to have it leak out from under the passenger headlight. I took it to my local repair shop to look at those issues and the spoiler button. I also asked them to do my oil and spark plugs to start fresh. They then sent me pictures of the filters in the car and told me that the battery was ten years old (42/10 is european for 4th of February 2010) and I should consider replacing it. Their first repair quote was around $3,500. I asked them to remove the battery replacement and a few other things which got the price down to $2,700. I contacted Harmony Motors explaining the situation and they did absolutely nothing. I’ve never spent 25k before nor have I ever experienced such a lack of customer service in my entire life. Since the last time I spoke to Harmony Motors my brake and engine lights have come on. The brake light indicates that the pads are low, and the engine light says it needs repair services. The number of safety concerns this vehicle has is absolutely appalling and the money it’s going to take to fix Harmony Motors negligence is disgusting. Stay the hell away from this dealership!
I just happened to be in google trying to figure out how to reset my maintenance reminders because for the 2nd time in a row, these guys did not do it so I figured I’d leave a review too. I over pay for my services, with no reasonable timeline for repair, i.e. oil changes take 3 - 4 hours and as you see above they are left incomplete. I haven’t had a reliable horn in over 2 years because it burns out, I take it for warranty, they replace it and that’s it, no diagnostic no rhyme or reason as to why it burns out just replacement and it works for maybe an oil change or two then goes. Most recently it caught on fire in the middle of the night, when I took it to Harmony, they claimed it had aftermarket wires!!! They were the only people to touch the horn since I got it, it was under warranty, why would it have after market wires, so now they want $500 to fix the horn they never fixed in the first place. Stay away from this place, they have no clue what they’re doing and they’re sloppy about it.
Now called Flow Motors. Been bringing my VWs and Audis here for 10 years. This is the 3rd ownership change. The VW waiting room vs the Audi waiting room is night and day. Needless to say, the Audi waiting room is a bit nicer. First class vs coach. Oh well. Great service though.
I took my 2004 S4 in for service. I must say Jack is amazing in the service department. He was friendly and amazingly helpful. I feel a lot of times women are looked at differently when their cars need service. I can say this was definitely not the case. He informed me of exactly what they did abs it was fixed in a very timely manner. Will definitely be back. Thank you.
I just bought a 2019 VW Golf R and London Richardson was my sales representative. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. In a world of texting and e-mailing, I appreciated that he picked up the phone to talk and felt my final deal was very fair and reasonable. I will recommend him to my friends and family. I’m also very happy that I was able to make my purchase locally since Harmony does a lot to support the Asheville community. I look forward to continuing to utilize them for all service on the car.

Waited 2 days for a callback to get sent to another voice-mail belonging to the service manager.. day 4 and havent heard back from him yet. Meanwhile, immediately got their competitors service manager on the phone and was able to schedule and complete a service within 24 hours.. literally. I mean really how much ambition does it take to call someone back? I will from here forward be taking my business to someone who wants it.

Harmony motors service department will NOT give you any PEACE OF MIND. The service department is egregiously bad. Here are somethings you should know before going to the dealership. Harmony motors has refined ways to milk you of all the money they can. Their flat rate fee is $125 dollars and they add additional fees to keep your bill under $350. The North Carolina Motor Repair Act protects consumers when the cost is $350 or more. Before your issues are even fixed they are going to falsify hours, lie about inspecting your car, and add additional fees for services that were not provided. They dont see you as a customer, but instead as a dollar sign. If you do have any issues with your vehicle take it to an honest and trust worthy service department.My car has a low oil pressure issue. I assumed the dealership was honest. After inspecting previous oil changes. The dealership adds a lot of additional parts and issues to get every dollar from you. I shouldnt have come back. They charged me $300 to check my trunk switch and check my oil levels (likely with the dipstick). Being charged two hours worth of work for something that would take less than an hour is unacceptable. Do not be surprised if they add additional waste and environmental fees to get more money. When they are not disposing waste. They will not do anything honest or harmonious to give you peace of mind. I hope you read this review before going to Harmony Motors because you will not leave feeling any harmony with your wallet or have any peace of mind about your vehicles safety.
Worked with Daryan Sullivan. Was patient and informative. We got a great deal from a great dealership and a great sales person. If anything, go for the swanky coffee brewer (itll make anything you want). Good beverage service is the key to a good buying experience. Also, you get to take a photo in one of their VINTAGE showroom cars when youre done.

This dealership basically wasted my time. I made it very clear what trim and transmission I wanted over the phone. Turns out that they didn’t have that combination in stock, but they were more than happy to try to up sell me on other trims or a different transmission. On a positive note, the salesperson was pleasant.

Terrible service experience. I booked a 7:30am oil change for my Touareg and noted to the tech that I will wait off site for sake of safety and physical distancing. Having not received an update and having a meeting to go to, I return to the shop at 9:30 to be told that it’s just getting started and will be another 30minutes because the service tech said he “had it listed as a drop off”. Seriously?!? 2.5hrs for a $130 oil change? Terrible. Simply terrible. This is the last time that I will ever use this service department. Hopefully this review may prevent you from having a similar experience. Management, you have an obligation to fix your operation.

Two years ago I paid for a new vacuum pump, cost over 1,000 dollars .a year later I bring my car in for oil change .I was told I need a vacuum pump .I said I had it replaced last year .The sales guys, said it was residual oil .No worries .I have my car serviced at a different location .They tell me my vaccuv pump is bad.A week layla my starter goes out

My experience was superb. My sales associate Daryan was not only honest about my options, but broke down all the steps necessary for me to buy a car. I went to another dealership to see what other options were out there and instantly regretted it. Feeling the need to write another review to let people know... Staff was very friendly and the facility is nice. I went in because I had 2 recalls on my Volkswagen Passat (to be fixed for free), my check engine light was on so I asked them to take a look at it. They notified me they would let me know before they did any work on it. They told me what the problem was from plugging the machine in to determine why the check engine light was on (which takes about a minute to my knowledge). I did not want to get the work done while I was there, as the part would be very expensive. I was then charged $114.67 for them to simply check what the problem was.I went in for 2 recalls (free service repair) and was charged $114.67. I have never felt like I was legitimately being robbed until I went here. I will not be back in the future.

Great experience with the service department on two separate visits. They delt honestly with me and looked for the least expensive alternative for the repair of my vehicle. Finding an automotive service partner is all about building trust and they did a lot towards that for me.
I took my VW to this dealer because the check engine light was on. First they told me it needed a software update and charged me $197. Within two weeks, the light was on again. I took the car back, they told me it needed new spark plugs and charged me $335 (the parts cost $71 and the rest was labor). In another two weeks, the light was on again. I do not at all recommend taking your car for servicing to this dealer!
Raised the price of a Basic oil change service $50 IN LESS THAN A YEAR. The reason I was given was This is Asheville, because of the high demand everything costs more here, So we raised our prices. There is a word for that, its called price gouging. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

This dealer sells cars that look good and the mechanic very bad, my friend and I bought 2 certified vehicles and both have given us many problems. The customer service is very bad and whenever we go they say that the cars are fine and after a week a new problem appears. Dont buy used cars on this dealer!!!
So the customer service is decent. Ive looked for a way to e-mail the harmony motors customer service page but have not found one, so this review is going online. Whoever is answering the calls at harmony motors for parts department really sucks. He has not customer service skills and has a really off putting attitude. Needs to be replaced.

Customer service is #1 at Harmony Motors!! I was forced to return a wonderful diesel Jetta during the emission issues that drug out for a extended time in the courts. I drove it as long as the laws would allow. It passed NC emission tests, yet I still had to turn it in to VW. I was spending an average of $10.00 about 2 and a half gal of diesel, in exchange for 350 miles of enjoyable driving!!!! Harmony Motors was so kind, that I returned to them, to purchase a 2019 Jetta. Ben Dockery is a patient salesman!!! Thank you Ben!!!

Do NOT get your car worked on here. If you have to get it done due to an existing warranty I recommend driving out to other dealerships in SC. If you have absolutely no choice I at least recommend getting a pre-work order written up with a cost estimate.I came in needing to get my DPF filter changed. It was approved under warranty through VW of America prior to drop off. The dealer told me they didnt have the part but they would order it. In the meantime, they also said my thermostat was bad and quoted me a price of $135 to replace it. After they replaced the thermostat they told me the check engine light was no longer on so they couldnt change the DPF filter until it came back on. They said they were driving the car around and could not get the light back on. This went on for 2 weeks! Eventually I spoke with a regional representative from VW of America that said it would still be under warranty to replace if I wanted to pick the car up and drive it around on my own. When I went to pick up the car they billed me $700 for the thermostat!!! Stating it was over $500 worth of labor involved in replacing it!! Looking over my statement I also noticed they had lied about driving my car around at all during those 2 weeks. The mileage was the same in as it was out! I worked with VW of America for over 2 months. The company was very supportive and refunded me the money for the thermostat and helped me get the DPF filter replaced at another dealer out of state. It was a very long heart breaking process. I felt lied to and completely scammed by the service department at VW of Asheville. Another note: when I spoke to the other dealer out of state- they told me they had heard many stories of this service department doing shady things to their customers. They said I was definitely not the only one deciding to go elsewhere. Im just making sure to share my story in hopes to save someone else from such a mess!
Was driving by and decided to swing into Harmony motors to take a peek at their Volkswagen SUVs and noticed the Atlas. London came out and was very helpful to show me inside and talk a little about the new vehicle. He was very professional and easy going. I didnt have time to test drive at that moment and had to leave. Later on that day I mentioned to my wife that I would like to take that vehicle for a test drive and her and I went back to the dealership later that day. London was busy with another potential customer and Jordan came along with us on a test drive. She was as equally laid back and easy going as London, and pressure free from the typical sales interaction you might consider. We liked the vehicle and contacted Jordan a few days later to begin negotiations on the vehicle purchase. We ended up purchasing the Atlas and I couldnt be happier with the interaction my family had with both London and Jordan.

Just had a horrible experience with someone at Audi Asheville name Mark Kaye. Everything was going good until I told him I have offer code directly from Audi, then everything went downhill. I sent an e-mail to him with numerous questions that I could not get him to answer after trying to get answered all day via text. Each time he dodged the question and went off into the weeds.In the e-mail I specifically asked him to have his manager review it. Not only did he actually tell me NO in regards to answering my questions but he didnt have his manager review it. Then he threatens me with some made up price that is ten grand over MSRP. Something is seriously wrong with this guy and I am in shock that someone like this has a job. Its almost as if he made this a personal vendetta just because I had the audacity to demand answers to questions he was avoiding.

I had an appointment for my car Tues. 6/5 for an inspection and to find a noise that had started from the last time I had it in the dealership. I took it into the dealership on Monday 6/4 and left it as I had to work and couldnt get it there on Tues. I told them I would pick it up on Wednesday 6/6. I got there on Thursday 6/7 afternoon and my car had not been touched. No one had called to tell me it was ready or not ready. They couldnt tell me when it would be fixed. I chose to leave and get my inspection elsewhere. This is the 3rd time in the past 6 months I have had an issue with Harmony. Either my car isnt fixed, or its not totally fixed and I have to bring it back or its not fixed at all. No one has bothered to call at anytime to update me nor have they bothered to call to set up another appt. or apologize for the latest error. I would NOT recommend them for service and their customer service is non-existent.
Every interaction Ive had with Harmony Motors has been seamless and as easy as could possibly be. I bought my 2012 Jetta from them last spring and the entire process was delightfully simple, friendly and fast. Everyone from Sales, Finance and Service has been a joy to work with. Everything is done on time, in the manner they say it will be done and, always, with a warm smile. I cant recommend Harmony Motors enough and will definitely visit them again next time my husband and I are in the market for a new car.

After having purchased about a dozen cars from 8 dealerships in the past I can very safely say Ive never had better experiences at any dealership, ever! From the moment I walked in, to my first service Ive been treated like a king, honestly, a king.You may be thinking oh well he probably bought a Porsche and thats how they treat Porsche owners, and you are probably right and I did buy a Porsche. But the Porsche I bought was 13 years old and cost a whopping $13,500. Coming in as the second cheapest car Ive ever purchased from a dealership.Some highlights of my experience:- Nicest sales people ever.- Sales people didnt even flinch when I gave them my budget.- Excellent communication throughout the sale.- Let me drive the car home to see if it would get up my driveway.- Basically sold me the car via email once I made my decision.- Gave me free driving lessons at a real racetrack. Twice!- Service people are so nice I thought I was dreaming.- Shuttle was super prompt and took me anywhere I needed to go.- They washed my car, cleaned the inside AND armor-alled the tires!- Did I mention how nice everybody is?I may never buy from another dealership again... honestly.

Where do I start well we had recall work that needed to be done on our vw than it turned into other stuff well about 1700 dollars later now my car is not starting at all when it was starting just fine before we took it in that was on Sat we couldnt pick it up til Mon our car drove good all day Mon than my husband went to work Tues and thats when it went bad since Tues we been calling and calling and leaving voicemails cause apparently no one is there in the service department that can pick up a phone or call someone back now here it is Thursday and what do we get again? You guessed it the voicemail Im getting really irritated and if I can give a no star I would this is the worst customer service I ever got

Worst dealership I have ever encountered. Almost got me arrested by not filing the paperwork properly on a trade in and asked why the lease I turned was on their lot a week later. Save your time, money, and patience and deal with someone else.
Stock clutch went out prematurely. Went with a stage 2 upgraded clutch system and APR stage 1 in my 2016 GTI. BJ in the parts department was very helpful and knowledgeable. This has been a good experience overall.

Harmony Motors went above and beyond to fix my Eurovan. The customer service is outstanding. Bought the van at a different dealer and the check engine light was persistently on despite 5 visits to the shop. Drew Eubanks worked closely with me to ensure the problem was fixed, they kept my van and drove it for a weekend just to ensure the light would not come back on. Additionally, I was given a loan car for the entire time for free. Big Thanks to Drew and the Harmony Motors team.

I bought a car from Josh Mitchell recently, and first off, I want to say Josh is the easiest car salesman I have ever dealt with in my life. He approaches in just the right way to offer help where you need it, but not artificially push your own decision-making during the buying process. I have never felt so comfortable buying a car at a dealership.To top it off, Josh was still there for me when I had post-sale concerns and questions.Harmony Motors was the fastest, most professional outfit for getting financing in order. Other dealerships took a week or more to get back to me just to send complicated applications to figure out. Not so with Harmony. They shield you as much as possible from the headaches of paperwork and red tape and will even do your title work for you. I am confident in Harmony Motors to be there for me when I need them, and I highly recommend Josh if you are looking for a super easy-going buying experience.
First service visit at 10,000 miles in our 2017 Audi S6 we was informed their air compressors were down and they couldn’t complete the entire service needed. We drove 1.5 hrs for this and should’ve been called ahead of time and rescheduled. 2nd visit was for our ear piercing brakes that squeak which started at 11,000 miles. My very own technicians first tried cleaning pads and rotors and doing several tricks of the trade since we have been in the business over 45 years of repairing cars so finally we drive 1.5 have them basically cleaned by Harmony and are sent home with squeaking brakes in our 80,000$ car in the school, drive through, neighborhood ear piercing noise we have to hear day in and day out. 3rd trip today, car has 19,000 miles is 2 years old and same waste of time cleaned our brakes, rotors and a 5 point ABs protocol like we’re some idiots and don’t know what they basically did was drive the car at certain speeds and stop real fast. Guess what brakes squeaked before we left Asheville and that 85,000$ Q7 I was considering ain’t happening either now. I will Keep my Yukon Denali bc at least I know I want have to wear ear muffs to drive it! Such a shame Audi really makes a good car if only they could stand behind them!
They told me I needed to service the automatic transmission in my car for $700. My car has a manual transmission. 🙄. Then they kept my car for 2 weeks to change the oil. They claimed to only have one mechanic who could work on my car. This is the dealership I bought it from, new car btw. When I finally got it back it blew an oil line causing the car to be in for another 2 weeks for warranty work to fix the line. These guys are shady at best.

Just bought a used Acura MDX from them yesterday at a great price. The experience was one of the best buying experiences my wife and I have had. Everyone there is superb especially Jenny Prudhomme. She rocks. Put no pressure on us whatsoever. Very professional and patient. Really cool that they have an Allstate branch in their as well. We ended up switching insurance providers while there and got better coverage than we had previously with Geico. Sarah and Tevin were Allstate rock stars! The purchase and financing was easy and smooth with Tim Cousins . All around I highly recommend this dealership and the people that work there. We knew exactly what we were buying. They let us know the history of the vehicle and owners the best they could based on the info available. Really liked seeing the car report from their mechanics which assured us that they looked over the car well and even fixed a few things.We are very pleased with our purchase.
Macon was a fantastic salesman and is the only reason this review is not a 1 star. He took the extra time to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted in my vehicle, made all the paperwork seem easy to understand, and the over all experience enjoyable.I would also like to congratulate the team in the service department on perpetuating a cycle of unethical business practices. If you cant be honest about what is wrong with someones vehicle they they have spent over 20k on, then you shouldnt be allowed to work with the public. You have lost my trust and my business because of your inability to tell the truth over a $14.99 head light.
