Wow! This place is huge!! I wish I had an old house I was fixing up because they have everything here from doors and windows to planks of rare hardwoods. Plus all the furniture you could want for inside. Very cool assortment of vendors. We spent several hours waking around twice because there is so much to see. They have home depot style flat carts to pile your stuff up on
I had some time to kill between doctor appointments. I first found the coffee cart inside the place, then stayed for the antiques.Oh my they have so many wonderful vendors! There are antiques from all around the world. I couldnt get over the selection of posters and doors available. The prices were not outrageous either. I was very surprised when I checked out different items in different booths. Most of the vendors prices were reasonable.I highly recommend this place! Its a great place to hang out and get some coffee, and admire antiques, especially those that will never be in your budget 😅.
This is one of the best antique shops! Its a giant warehouse full of fun furniture, kitsch, art, antiques, and more. The prices are great and variety is impressive. Highly recommend!
I love this place! I rarely leave with empty hands. The vendors are frequently here on the weekends and they are always so nice.
This place is huge, so plan on spending some time here if you want to see everything. Theres a variety of most every antique and treasure on the planet. Prices are fairly consistent with what weve seen during our travels. If youre into woodcrafts make sure to head out back because theres plenty of lumber for sign making or furniture construction.
Great place to spend some time on a rainy day. Old and some new antiques 🤔great place to look at some cool things.
The best antique barn I have visited. I wont say you will find many bargains as the prices are premium but even if you dont buy anything the tremendous variety makes it an interesting visit. Really surprising is their tremendous inventory of rough sawn wood, the one thing with good pricing. So, if you want to make a live edge dining table or mantle this is a great place to find the wood you need at 1/2 to 1/3 the price of online wood sellers.
This place... If you love digging through endless amounts of antique/vintage/repurposed/unique/oddity treasures... This is for you. HEAPS of good finds. Make sure you clear your schedule for this trove, it takes a while to get through the whole place. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Most vendors are willing to negotiate as well! Love love love this place!
Really cool place (both figuratively and literally) I really enjoyed walking around but wish I had brought a warmer coat. Lots of cool and unique items. An eclectic mix of antiques, vintage and modern. I do wish things were labeled a little better as some areas feel more like an over priced thrift store while others offer more unique vintage and antique items. It can be hard to tell the difference sometimes. Overall it was fun and I will probably be back.
A great place to shop and find the perfect items for your house or flip project. It’s so big you might want to bring your lunch and plenty of water. The fans do blow the dust around so maybe a bandana will help. Too many items to list, however the sheer volume of variety will have every person in your party finding something to take home. My only regret was not taking photos. Put this on your list and bring your savings account and oh yeah bring an extra truck, you’re gonna need it.
Huge! Unfortunately I forgot to go back and buy the neat wall sink near the back. Somebody else go realize my dream and get that wicked awesome piece.
There is something for everyone here! Plan to spend a few hours🙂
Not big on shopping but I stayed in there for almost 3 hours. Fantastic place to find anything you could want. If it aint there they dont make it....
I have to say this is one antiques store that wore me out! It is huge! An amazing array of items ranging from the smallest silverware to the largest tool. Walking through and seeing all the treasures was fascinating. Tools, car parts, baskets, books, glassware- and my two favorites of cast iron and Pyrex! I will definitely be back here to walk through again and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an enjoyable day of treasure hunting!
Love this place. A must visit when youre in Asheville.
New stuff made to look old. Antique means old not deception
Large with lots of vendors, but a bit less than impressed. Not a big diversity of antiques, lots of hand made non-antiques and salvage.
Fun place to look through, bought a little picture!
Lots of cool, unusual items to find. Hugh selection of just about anything you can imagine. Not cheap.
Tons of options. Many unique choices.
The Antique Tobacco Barn is a great place to find something unique for a gift or for your own home or business. Much of the stuff in there is vintage and/or repurposed materials. Theres everything from old doors in there to shutters, tables, windows, clothing, dishes, trinkets, etc. Like a lot of other salvage spots, this is one is organized by booth and vendor. Most of the prices are easy to locate but if you have a question the staff at the front are easy to talk with, friendly and helpful. If you want to make an offer or ask for a discount theyll even contact the seller for you. If youre in the market for something to add a cool touch to your space, definitely give this place a try. Oh and dress warm in the winter as they have an outdoor space with a ton of stuff you wont want to miss.
Absolutely great experience. Tons of great antiques (mixed in with all the new items)! But the hunt is the fun part! We ended up leaving with a cart full and definitely recommend stopping when in town!
Coolest antique store ive been in in a while. You can go just to get ypur steps in...the place is HUGE. go with money- guaranteed to find something you want to leave with.
TEN STARS...Because five stars doesnt do the Antique Tobacco Barn justice! Be prepared to spend at least half of a day finding hidden treasures from the past! Love, love, LOVE!!!
This place is amazing! Be prepared to spend a couple of hours just browsing. There is something for everyone
One of the best places Ive visited Gor antiques and rough cut hard woods.
The young man that helped me is a good find for this store. Nice, knows where things are/what is sold. Needed magnets for indoor window shutters and cant find them in TN so really glad that I stopped here!
This is our second visit, plenty to search through. If anyone has a good selection, its the tobacco barn!! You never know what you might find. My wife found some old glass ware she wanted.
Tons of stuff going on. Very nice pieces of wood sold here.
Really cool, large barn full of old and some newer stuff.. decent prices
Very friendly, and they have tons of stuff to look at, need several hours to see it all, very interesting.
Great place to find your hearts desires. They have it all.
Great experience and will definitely return when in the area again. HUGE store and a great selection in particular of industrial pieces, which we prefer. Lots of furniture and door options as well. Would be great for anyone re-doing their home. Great that they have bathrooms available and a little coffee stand at the entrance as well. Only drawback is that there are some booths with almost exclusively new merchandise, which is why I give 4/5. Otherwise, a great find and we walked away with 3 new treasures.
Wide selection of things to choose from. Will definitely be back.
Amazing spot. So much to look at and sift through. Really a cool place to walk around and find a little bit of everything
Neat to visit once, but now very over priced
Awesome this is one of the BEST Antique venues I have ever been to. Dont miss this if you like unique stuff for eith building or decorating your home.
My FAVORITE place to spend time hunting for treasures, home decorating, entertaining visitors, and just fun wandering about. Highly recommended.
I’ve been coming here for awhile because I live right across the river, the barista and the vendors are super nice and I just love antique shopping/window shopping. It reminds me of my nana. This place is huge and has some deals and some stuff that’s clearly overpriced. Well today I found a couple of small scrap papers with vintage map prints on them and after talking to the vendor a second decided to get them. Grift/griff (not sure the name) was at front and this was our convo:Me, after seeing price on others but not this particular two: how much are theseHim: $5Me: oh really? others said $1.50Him: no, those are $5Me: um ok *goes to vendor and asks*Vendor: oh those are just little scrap papers, they’re $1.50Me to grift/griff whatever: she said 1.50Him: whateverMe: so why did you up the price on these little scraps?Him, annoyed: they change the prices every dayMe having bought them before: they didn’t though the ones in front are more but these have always been $1.50 that’s a big differenceHim, super annoyed: they do change the prices whenever they feel like itMe: *go to vendor to ask about it*Vendor to him: they’ve always been $1.50Him: ok whateverLike he so did not care and was mostly annoyed I would question his authority. I’ve been there a few times with the “bros” in front being saucy as hell. Will not return. Enjoy your floods.
I liked this store. I hope to go back again.
Lot of old primitive furniture, lot of old tools, parts, hardware, lacking any amount of porcelain or bisque items, great for people who want to repurpose furniture
Great place, prices are to high, but good inventory.
Great place to shop but lost over a $200 sale due to the woman behind the counter being very rude.
So eclectic, wide variety. I really enjoyed the experience!
Somebody warned me about all the nooks and cranny. Boy-howdy were they right. 5000 square feet of everything you want and yet did not know you needed. You have to pay close attention to shelves, boxes, cabinets, carts, baskets and stacks of cool stuff.
One of a kind place! Awesome selection of interesting things.
Great selection of antiques and collectibles in one place. Its so big, it is difficult to see it all in one trip. Prices seem moderate.
This is a must go for anyone. You always leave with something unique.
You could spend days and not see everything. Well worth the stop. We will visit again.
This place has EVERYTHING! Its a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. If youre looking for antiques or just curiosities- you need to come here!
There is so much here its easy to get lost and the prices are not bad at all, I highly suggest visiting if you enjoy antiquing or thrift stores.
Huge warehouse of unique items! An antique shoppers paradise!!
This place is overwhelming. Its so big. Its got so many things. I dont even know where to begin but will just say to bring a trailer and good luck parking.
We love this place. We drive 2 hours just to visit and shop. Its usually the first place we think of when we are looking a some special item. Especially glad for the COVID precautions in place and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
About 70-30 on real antiques and kitsch. The place is huge and the variety vast which made for a couple good hours of browsing.
Lots of fun. Treasure hunting.
Good things to see and find. Lots to look at. Go there with your own coffee though. Lots of wood out back for your at home projects
Great place to find furniture and so many other items, especially the unusual. Id give it 5 stars, however, some vendors seem to think that because something is old they should charge more than what its really worth, especially considering its condition. I get paying more for antiques, if the quality is there, but not for something in need of repair, rusted, or in shabby condition overall.
Decorators paradise! All kinds of vintage pieces of furniture, artwork, doors and knick nacks
There is some really cool things but so overpriced and very expensive.
Only reason I gave it a 3 is its WAY to expensive for dusty junk sitting there for yrs. Ive been 3x now and spent a total of 12.00 . I have seen tons I like, but as a serious antique/treasure hunter I enjoy the experience, but spend my money in other malls where I find deals .
Amazing quality and quantity of antiques. This place is huge and prices are also very reasonable compared to Ohio. Cant wait to come back!
This place is so huge I lost my girlfriend at least 3 times. The prices are great! If youre looking for a spot to pickup a few souvenirs for yourself or family I would really recommend checking it out. BE WARNED parking fills up pretty quick on rainy days so get there early. Staff was also super friendly.
This is THE best place! Honestly, if you cant find something to satisfy your antiquing, Id be shocked.
When we first found this place years ago it was such fun. The mystery finds were wonderful and prices were fair. Now, theres a great deal of reproductions and high priced garage sale like items. There are still some architectural finds and interesting artsy things. But the prices are high!
I accidentally caused a small ceramic dish to slide off an end table I was trying to move forward to inspect...and it broke. I picked up the piece with the price tag and carried it to the front desk later where the young man in charge told me dispassionately, if you broke it you pay for it. I asked if he could discount it...the floor under the end table was uneven and helped this dish to slide off. Or, perhaps call the vendor. Nope. You need to pay the tag price of $24. No friendliness, no compromise. The vendor will receive the $$ I left. But no $$ for the end tables. I will remember the rudeness. I will not remember Tobacco Barn for future needs.
If you are in the mood for rude service and overpriced reproductions or broken junk, this is the place. Ask a question, rude reply; ask for clarification, told if you dont like it, get out. Clearly they didnt learn to appreciate customers while shut down. A visit to the other antique store two blocks down, welcomed and helpful. Wont be back.
I used to like antique shops but, not so much anymore. People would rather have their stuff die a slow dindgy death than to price their stuff to sell. A small broken set of deer antlers for 55$? Hard pass. Some modern items over priced. It is what it is. If you just like walking around and looking, its awesome. The bathrooms were clean and they had a coffee station. So, it wasnt all bad.
Huge variety of newer items and unusual antiques, metals, doors, wood slabs, wide variety, lots of furniture pieces, stained glass windows. Fun stop on trip. Young man at desk not friendly, acted like he didnt want to be there, dropped part of my purchase, didnt even care and left part of our purchase we paid for on counter when he handed us our bag. Fortunately we checked our bag when we got to our vehicle and discovered item we paid for was not given to us so went back in just as they were closing and were able to get it after explaining to clerk at door what was missing and we were traveling and not able to come back another day. Overall glad we stopped, but Ive been to better.
Staff was friendly, great assortment of nice things. Some expensive, others not.
Great place to shop for antiques, furniture and nick knacks. It is huge. Plan to spend a couple hours because there is so much stuff packed into the stalls that it can become overwhelming. There is also section for reclaimed wood for sale in back.
Lots of items. Huge place. More unique items.
A renovators dream store! Everything you want from live edge boards to lighting to windows...furniture...outdoor decore... A huge variety of everything! Plan on a few hours of browsing so you dont anything😃
I like their inventory but no a/c precludes me shopping there during hot weather. I like that they offer a very wide selection of items and seem to be competitively priced for the most part.
Great selection and fair prices.
Huge selection of antiques and salvaged items. Could spend an entire day here.
This place is amazing for shoppers and browsers alike! If you come to Asheville, dont miss this place! There is something for everyone to see here - and whatever youre looking for they probably have it! The items rotate out a lot so if you have visited in the past, its definitely worth another look! So much history and nostalgia all in one place!
