Was visiting Asheboro and needed a good breakfast place as the hotel breakfast was a solid F. Found 42 Diner and was not disappointed. While busy, service was fast, the waitstaff were attentive and kind (especially with five teenagers not making up their minds… just bring coffee and orange Juice for everyone next time), and the food was great. Thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend. Thank you for the hospitality.
We just moved to the area and love to try new restaurants, after our first visit several months ago we instantly knew that this was going to be our regular. Their breakfast is delicious and wholesome as said with their lunch, it’s so wholesome like going to grandmas and never leaving hungry. The food is fresh and the staff is what appears to be family or family like and they treat you like family. I absolutely adore this place and would recommend to anyone looking for a decent meal and being treated like family. You guys are amazing!
Dining here is always an enjoyable experience. The restaurant is very clean and has a relaxed atmosphere. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. The menu has a large variety of options and the food is excellent. Portions are on the large size with prices on the reasonable side. Dont leave without one of their many delicious desserts.
Very nice waitress. Very clean restroom. Beautifully decorated restaurant. Food and service was second to no one around. My veggie omelet was made exactly the way it was ordered. We will be back.

ALWAYS outstanding! A couple of dozen visits in the last 2 years, and every time is a great experience. My family really like a good breakfast out on a Saturday morning so I have brought family from around the US to this place and they are always treated Great! My favorite is corned beef hash but I have never had anything I wouldnt do again and again!

Food is great. Love the variety of things you can eat. One problem though. As sometimes there is a wait, not with a table, as it is a walk-in, but with the food. It takes about 10 mins, but the food is worth the wait.
The food was great and the service was really good. I highly suggest of you looking for home cooking try this place
We stopped in for coffee and desert. The apple fritter was great as well as the coffee. My wife said the coffee was so good that she didnt need to add sweetener. The service was quick and the prices are very reasonable.

It is great! Nice inside. Staff make it feel like home. Fair prices, and large portions!!! Kept eating cause it was just so good, but definitely over ate haha. Perfect, hole in the wall.
My fiancé and I just ate breakfast here for the first time ever (Id been wanting to eat here for a very long time) and it was great! Karen and her staff are so welcoming, attentive, friendly, etc.!I happen to know Johnnie, one of her waitresses, as we go waaay back to several of her Seagrove Family years, and shes always been a favorite of mine and Im fortunate to call her a friend!Im excited for my fiancé and I to eat lunch here one day!

Wonderful service! Bacon, biscuit, and coffee were delicious! Ordered the poached eggs on a biscuit from the photos and my eggs were actually more a of a soft boiled than poached. The service was amazing though so Id definitely be back !

The wait staff here is wonderful and Pleasent to deal with. I usually go during my lunch hour ( they are very busy at this time.) But I can get in and out of in a reasonably amount of time. But to be on the safe side Ive ellected to more call in orders. The food is county cooking with large portions. Their breakfast portions are double the size of most places in this area. And very reasonably priced. They offer different plate lunches each day that are priced well also. They will fax over a daily menu to places of employment. That is a good sales ploy but its good customer service also. They do close around 2 pm each day. Thats the only downside to this place.
