Great service! My husband had his boat worked on at Hughes. The staff was friendly and SUPER helpful! We have never owned a boat before and the mechanic took some time and answered all of my husbands questions. We will definitely use them again!

Just plain and simple... he will rip you off in a heartbeat.. I have many complaints but the last time I took my boat in for service.. o had mentioned that I thought the starter was burnt up due to trying to crank the motor that he had worked on the week before and told was right.. I picked it back up and after another $470 bill, I was told that it was running good. The starter was never checked or replaced and the bot would not even turn over. How did he check to see if it was even running correctly?? He didn’t, so I replaced the starter and took it out.. broke down again due to carb issues that he said he repaired. I’ll never go back.. don’t be a fool like me and trust this guy

Got these guys to install a keel guard on my 2015 Triton and they did a great job. Checked on YouTube about doing it myself hahaha no way. If I ever need any work done on boat these will be my guys to go too

I feel like its a great place to take a boat/engine for service/repair. Tim seems like a real good guy. Only business I could find that would work on my old 2 stroke. I live 2hrs away and took the chance driving down, will do so again in the future! My new boat mechanic! :)

Attention boat owners do not take your boat to Hughes boat and motor 1449 Old Liberty Road Asheboro North Carolina. I took my boat to get it repaired, last month just got it back today. Only wanted one thing fixed, the boat was stuck in neutral, that was fixed. But they took it upon their self to mess with my motor and screwed it up now the motor wont run. My boat was running fine before I took it to them, but I still had to pay for parts that they put on it, that it did not need and now it doesnt run at all.

They fixed my my old ranger bass boat that had been sitting for 3 years. It now flies up and down the lake. Thank you for the good work and fast repair. I would recommend to others.

Very disappointed. My Wellcraft would conk out after tubing for an hour or so, then would start again but run extremely rough after it cooled off. Took it to Hughes, who agreed to run it until it conked out on him. He rebuilt the engine, charging about $1000. First day out on the lake, it did the same as before. Contacted Hughes, who said he wouldnt charge IF his repair caused the problem, but WOULD charge if something else was at fault. Seems to me I paid dearly for repairs the boat didnt need, and would be charged again for additional work, so will not return. Shop should stand behind its work, and this one didnt.

Took my boat to run Hughes to replace a stator. I had just got my boat out of another shop after spending 2000.00. I had to take it back to the previous shop 4 times, but he could figure out what was wrong with my boat. I put the box that a got from the first shop with all my old parts. Tim tried to take my old parts out of the box that had been replaced, and tried charging me for them and acted like he replaced those parts too. Crook

These guys are awesome! Rebuilt the carbs on my boat in 2 days so I could be on the water for 4th of July!!! Extremely knowledgeable and affordable good work. I will be back for sure!
