Tom does great work. He got my ‘66 Pro Reverb back in tip top shape and sounding great on my gigs this weekend.
Tom was awesome got my amp done in a reasonable time, he was very descriptive about what he fixed why he fixed it. my amp sounds better than it ever has. definitely has a repeat customer in me!
I am adding to this review that Tom fixed my Marshall amp and I am happy with the results. Tom fixed my Crate Amp for a fair price and in a timely fashion. I am bringing a Marshall that I just bought from Musicians Friends and I will review after he fixes that. So far great service at a fair price. Definitely Recommend!
Tom did an amazing job on my Fender Deluxe. I was starting to wonder if it could even be fixed. But, not only did he fix it, he went over everything with a fine toothed comb and worked to get everything perfect. I couldnt be happier. Clearly, Tom knows his stuff and is a great asset to our community.
I just got my Marshall Amp back from Tom works like a champ. Now I need an ear doctor! LOL He had to replace some tubes and a fuse on an amplifier that I had just purchased from Musicians Friend. He was backed up a couple of weeks because he has a lot of loyal customers but as soon as he got on my amp it was done in one day. I definitely recommend his services in amplifier repair and I wouldnt consider going anywhere else. Even if he is backed up, it is worth waiting for his expert repairs! Thanks Again for another great experience using your business! Sincerely Robert Zeller!
Tom is just an awesome amp tech and one of the nicest people. Picked up my amp and he spent 20 minutes giving me a detailed explanation of all the work he did. I will be bringing my other amps in to him and would reccomend him to anyone!
I cant sing Toms praises enough. Nice as pie, humble, and incredibly knowledgeable. I dropped off an early-2000s SVT Classic for some work on the XLR output and to have a mod installed on that same output. Tom fixed up the issues w/ the XLR and added the mod exactly as Id requested. He was faster than the quotes from other shops in the area (everyones backed up from COVID), the price was less than Id anticipated, and his rundown of the work was just excellent. Not that I want anything to break anytime soon, but I cant imagine taking my stuff anywhere else.
Toms been a friend of mine for 20 years, he has extensive experience in repairing amps,I’ve seen many repairs come thru his shop, many satisfied customers, good reasonable prices for expert repair work, highly recommended.
I found a great deal on a 1950s Sherwood (Danelectro) amplifier on Craigslist. I wanted to replace the cord, check/replace the caps and resistors and get it in tip top working order. Tom clearly explained my options and associated costs. He turned the job around in two weeks at a reasonable price and the amp works perfectly. Ill be pleased to have Sound Electronic Service work on my vintage tube amps!
Tom’s service was invaluable when it came time to fix an amp that was red playing on me. His communication was thorough and timely, and his attention to detail is second to none. Though it’s an hour and a half drive for me to get to him, I’ll be taking all my amp service here and referring my friends. Couldn’t have asked for better service!
Its always difficult and nerve-racking for me to find someone that I can trust to work my precious gear. Tom is that guy.Tom is super cool and I felt comfortable with him right away.I brought Tom my Fender Twin Reverb that was having some issues. He seemed to intuitively know what the problem was, however he went through the amp and checked everything out. He isolated and remedied the the issue. Tom also biased my amp for my new power tube replacement. When I picked up my amp,Tom made sure and plugged his own Tele into my Twin to demonstrate that all was well. Tom does a great job for a totally reasonable price. Tom is now my go to guy for amp work.I highly recommend a true professional like Tom and Sound Electronic Service for your Amplifier repair and servicing. Thanks Tom!
Tom has come through for me on more than one occasion. Took my 65 Fender Bassman in there in non-working order and he had it sounding amazing with fair rates and a quick turn around!
One of the best amp techs I have ever taken gear to. It almost feels like he has every circuit diagram memorized.
Fantastic service and excellent work quality. Very time efficient and fairly priced. Thanks Tom. You are the man!
Tom (the Owner) is a scam.I brought my amplifier to get a rattle noise coming from the head checked and made clear what the issue was. He replaced the power valves and one pre-amp valve but did not address the rattle noise and charged about $250 for labor and parts. I asked for my money back because he replaced parts that were unrelated to the issue and the valves were not due for replacement. Tom made it inconvenient for me to get my refund. Clearwing (former Musicians Custom Electronics) determined it was one of the transformers and only charged me for the diagnostic.Do yourself a favor and bring your amplifier to Clearwing as they are far more professional and honest than Toms shop.
Tom is an excellent amp technician!!!...Had a strange problem with an AER acoustic amp (not an amp he usually repairs) and he diagnosed, fixed the problem and, had me back up and running without a hitch. Highly recommended....
Tom is doing a great job serving musicians inthe Denver Metro area.
Excellent amp tech, great timely work and fair rates. Highly recommended!
