I have been a customer of Performance Auto for years. I originally went there when I moved back to New Kensington after years of being away, because I knew the owner, Steve...we went to school together back in the day.That was 15 years and 3 cars ago. I have been a regular customer ever since because they offer excellent service at a fair price, and I can honestly say that the vast majority of times, my car was done when they said it would be. When you find a good mechanic, you stick with them.Linda and Melanie are the ladies you will deal with at the front counter. Both are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They will not recommend replacing a part if a repair job is all thats needed. Nor will they take on a repair job that isnt worth the owners time and money.Personal experience, my vehicle had a buzzing/whining noise under the hood. It also had 198k miles on it. They both told me upfront that they could poke around in there, but that there was no guarantee that theyd be able to fix the problem, and besides that, even if they could, I was looking at a rather large bill. Their advice was to keep driving the car until either a) I got to where I couldnt stand the noise anymore I couldnt, or b) the performance of the car started to suffer, and at that point, get a new car...thats exactly what I did.I cannot recommend Performance Auto Service highly enough.

I got an appointment quickly for an inspection. They were suggested by Ross Autobody (which are great so I trusted their judgment)&they were great as well.

Great honest shop! It’s so hard to find honest mechanics these days, almost impossible. The office lady was pleasant and professional. Car was fixed in a timely manner and repairs were explained in full. I will be returning when I need repair in the future.

OMG. This is the absolute BEST mechanic in town. I feel like I am floating when I drive my car now. Lol. It drives so smooth its like new. Top notch work. You will pay a higher price for better service. Do the work a little bit at a time if you have to but dont take your car to anyone else. They do honest work.

I have been going to Performance Auto for a few years now and have no complaints. They fix my car quickly, let me know when and why if there are any delays and their prices are reasonable. They have a well run operation and their work shows it.

I am extremely pleased with their quality of work, efficiency and kindness! I highly recommend them!! Recently my car sounded like a truck....with a broken pipe to my muffler. Great service, as usual. My car no longer sounds like a truck! And they fixed the area around the muffler....so quickly and economically! Thank you again.....so very much!!!!!

My check engine light came on on a Monday morning so I took it to Performance Auto Service after seeing an article about them in the newspaper. I was told it would probably be Wednesday before they could fix it because there were people ahead of me. That was OK because I have another car. Well, 3 hours later they told me the car would be ready the same afternoon! What service. When I picked up the car it was fixed, the price fair and the service very friendly. I couldnt be more pleased!

Went to get a waiver put on my van had oxygen sensor replaced to make it pass then I go to replace the converter they cross threaded the oxygen sensor they put in and then not want to pay for it when I called to talk to them about the issue would suggest going elsewhere

Dropped my truck off before I went on vacation and it was ready by the time i got home
