I consigned several items here and I regret doing so. It has been almost 4 months but none of my item was sold, including a pair of Eileen Fisher pants, a silk scarf and a necklace. All in pretty good condition. I started to read reviews online and realized they donate unsold items fairly quickly. I simply don’t want my designer pieces to be donated. If I knew the sales didn’t move, I would never choose Current Boutique.Even if set the slow sales aside, I am also suspicious of the check-offline-status-online business mode. Unlike the completely online consignment, the status of store sales cannot be monitored. I don’t know if no one buys them or it is payout delay.

UPDATE: The store manager reached out to me to address my concerns and updated me on when my items would be posted. They said the wait was about 2-3 weeks for items to get logged into the system. Updating my review rating because I appreciated the communication and clarity.UPDATE: Its been over two weeks since I brought my items in, and I dont see my items listed for sale on my account. Not sure what the status is since they should be listed by now. Getting a bit worried and this feels a bit sketch.Had a positive experience both selling and buying here. Great selection of designer clothing and bags. They were very clear about what the selling process is like & were able to answer all my questions. They dont allow you to reclaim your clothing after the 90 day window but they do try to sell at a lower price before donating it.

During a recent stop, my first ever visit at the store, I walked in and was informed the store has a policy of keeping shopping bags at the front counter. I hesitantly walked to the counter to check my bags from other stores then was told they also needed to hold my handbag behind the counter. I have never been asked to surrender my handbag to a stranger to hold while I shop at any store, much less aconsignment store. I told her that was a step too far and retrieved my other bag and left the store.Another associate told me it was very common for stores to hold bags and handbags. I have never, and will not never surrender my purse to shop. The irony is they don’t trust me to shop without stealing items, but I should trust them to hold my handbag. This was my first and last visit.

This consignment store has great, well-selected clothing and a massive inventory for the area. The prices are on-point as well. I was disappointed to see some of the negative reviews on here. All of the associates seemed kind to me, and the pricing (for selling and for purchasing) does vary since they have several different levels of clothing (i.e. designer and non-designer). This is normal and expected for a consignment store, and it means they have a well-curated collection for customers. Keep it up, Current!

The boutique section of this store is over-priced and awful quality.I bought numerous dresses for $60 a piece and each dress has lost buttons, zippers, clasps.For that price, I expect the items to last more than 3 months.... plus you cannot return anything, so I’m stuck with dresses that are all beyond repairUPDATED***Management contacted me with a very polite message and allowed me to return the damaged pieces. I very much appreciated their attention to customer service and I have since returned to shop on the thrift side of the store.

I went here yesterday and thought it would be accessible since the front door didnt have any steps to enter. I was enjoying my shopping until I found a step in the middle of the shop so I couldnt keep shopping. Not a great place for wheelchair users or others who cant do steps.

This place is a rip off. They never send me a check for my many items left, and it’s been years. I have to show up in person before they admit they have a check for me. They are also rude and non communicative.

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Heather was very rude and inattentive! Also the manager was just plain unhelpful! Need better associates! Worse customer service in DC

Clean and well organized with a good selection of clothes. They have new items up front and consignment in the rear. No returns so its hard to shop for gifts so make sure itll fit!

Good options (I bought plenty of Lilly Pulitzer for great prices), but it can be hard to get your money from them when you consign. Ive been waiting on the money I have in my account for quite some time.

Brought a lot of European designer clothes and they were either too “plain” (Italian worsted wool pencil skirts) or too fancy (Ralph Lauren jackets and shirts). What gives?!

You never know what youll find here! Ive both bought and sold consignment items at Current. They only accept high quality, in style, womens clothing, and generally they are priced to sell at significantly below retail. No appointment needed to sell your items, but be ready to carry lots of stuff home with you - both items they wont accept (or you can donate), and ones you find while browsing. Dreesses, suits, coats, pants, accesories, shoes and handbags.

Terrible store if you need to sell your clothing. I left several things year ago and they never send me check, also they didnt return my stuff. Very picky - in very good condition purse Furla - went to trash. I sooo regret that I went to that consignment store first... FYI there 2 another awesome consignment stores on the same street, they gave me cash immediately and appreciated my things

Very disappointing. I bought a t-shirt in October 2014. When I arrived home I realized it had a few moth holes. I went back to the shop and they told me they do not return or exchange items and that they are priced accordingly. Do you really think I would buy a t-shirt with holes, even for 1 dollar? By the way, it was $20. I found this non-return and / or non-refundable policy very disappointment and even disrespectful telling me that I deserve a t-shirt with holes because I only paid $20. I will never come back.

Lovely place to shop though prices are slightly higher (prepare to buy things from 25,35,78 etc) they had a nice gucci white purse dont know the exact name but it has a blue,red ribbon at the side for $1000+,some Michael Kors bags $100 plus,coach bags,kate spade)but got some nice pieces from there. Clothes are clean and dont smell.

Sells dirty used clothing for the exact same price as it would be if it were brand new. Just make sure you check online before you buy.

My girlfriend just bought a skirt from here and there was a tampon in the pocket. Please check the clothing before putting them up for resale.

Great consignment shop! Have only visited to shop, not to sell, but am very impressed by the quality and curation of clothing within. Also appreciate that they organize by size and have abundant, well-lit fitting rooms. Wish they had more accessories and jewelry, and found that they had something like a 10:1 ratio of tops to bottoms, which was odd? But really fun to browse.
