It was my first visit to an actual 5.11 tactical retail store as there is none in PA where I live. From the moment I entered the store, a manager and Cory, the assistant, were welcoming, kind, and quick with helping me. I could find and purchase what I needed/wanted and this experience made my day.Moreover, Cory helped me with jumping the battery on my car. If not him, I would still be stuck here and not going with my schedules for today.I’m sure anybody who comes to this store will experience the pleasant shopping I had today.Good job, guys!

This store is terrible. Apparently Mario Ramirez is a fabric specialist and is able to tell is something is worn when there is no wear whatsoever. Bought shorts in july. Zipper broke between the teeth and he says its been worn alot and starts pointing at the pockets saying the fabric is worn. Worthless staff that doesnt want to do their job and tries to defer to someone else. Stopped here because it was on the way to somewhere else. Store in north Fort Worth has better staff willing do their job.

Joseph was awesome and knowledgeable. I didnt purchase any footage as it just didnt fit me right. The products seemed of high quality though.

Long time 5.11 web customer...this was the first visit to one of their brick and mortar stores.decent selection of product...didnt like the sales guy hovering.

I went to this store in search of duty boots. I asked if they had any more boots in the back as I didnt see my size in the store. The gentleman told me they might have some and they might not.... he has 3 pallets of freight in the back that he hasnt looked at. I thought he would go look since there were several employees present and only 2 customers in the store but I guess he couldnt be bothered to look. I wont be back at this location.

The employee showed interest in helping me as soon as I walked in. He asked questions and gave helpful recommendations.Store has a large selection of products.

I went in to buy boots for my security job, ive had these a few months now and after a few days I went back to the store to see if I could get them in a wide and the clerk was very rude and said no we dont make a wide for women, maybe go up a size or two. Except then the boots are way to big and unsafe plus going up a size they still squeeze my feet and they dont make mens in wide bellow a size 10 I think.Ive tried every stretching method and nothing works, they are designed to last but the seem inside the boot lands right on my little toe and makes it hurt worse than just the squeezing from being to small in the toe.Other wise great boots but if you have wide feet ladies look elsewhere.

Always an excellent time at 5.11. They have all the basics and several advanced items that an individual might need for personal security and peace of mind should SHTF. They cater to the private sector and to the civilian. Their clothing line, backpacks, knives, first aid items, shoes, vests and even their fun patches are top notch.

Great products but when it comes to the Arlington, TX location, customer service is not only non-existent but a negative experience. Every time I’ve walked into the store, I’ve been given the very distinct impression that I am not wanted there as a customer. As an active military member in a store tailored to serve this type of clientele, I would expect something different. To finish the experience, the exchange policy on the register is not honored as written and you’re pretty much out of luck if you need to exchange sizes TWO DAYS AFTER PURCHASE AND UNWORN. I will definitely pick somewhere else to buy these products from now on.

Ive always found that 5.11 tactical wear and gear are great products. My recent visit to the store was an exceptional one. Destiny took the time to educate me on the new back pack that my wife purchased there for me. My intentions were to return it, but once I was shown how versatile it was I kept it and purchased additional items to customize it. Great store and crew..! Ill always be a client. Thanks 5.11..!!!

Destiny, the store manager, is extremely rude & was hostile to everyone who walked in. She chewed out a very nice employee for not being at the front when all he was doing was opening the fitting room... As well as screamed at a nice couple who didn’t understand what she was saying by asking them to use hand sanitizer due to a language barrier but instead of understanding that she just kept yelling louder and louder for them to use it. And then told them they only had 10 minutes to shop.. She presents a very negative atmosphere and by looking at other reviews I’m pretty shocked nothing has been done about it. Absolutely awful.

The store is well stocked and the gentleman behind the counter was helpful and talked with me about other options to consider when choosing a range bag.10/10 will shop again

Customer service is really good

Went in looking for pants for my boyfriend not really having any idea. I was greeted at the door and helped by two associates who recommended pants based on what i was telling them. Will be going back to make a purchase once i know for sure which ones to buy.

As soon as I walked in the store, man at counter said that I only had 10 minutes in the store to look around and shop. I would understand if he was busy but there were like 3 other people there. Will not go back.

Products are great, but very odd that a store that caters to military personnel does offer a military discount for our veterans...

Love the store and their products, but a particular female associate there seemed to have an issue with me returning an item I bought online when the invoice clearly stated in English that Im able to do the return in store. I presented my invoice with the invoice number and with the item still sealed in the plastic wrap and she still stated she needed to see my email confirmation to prove what I paid for the item. Im sure all that information is available through the use of the order number especially since she used the number on the invoice to complete my return. Then she gave me some lame excuse that they normally dont do online returns in store because the store needs to pay for the shipping costs to return it to its distribution center. I guess they think that some people dont know any better because thats some really deceptive business practices that makes me not even want to shop in the store...

Started to shop there often. Bought T shirt from them. Discovered that I had a shirt almost identical of a different brand. Never put on or wore the new shirt. They accused me of washing the new shirt. How insulting! Wont shop there again

To be completely honest, not the most friendly staff. As a retired police officer, I expected a bit more warm Service. High dollar merchandise should warrant appropriate level of service. Bought a patch 2 weeks ago that began to fray and come apart, and I was told as a 1-time courtesy, she would exchange it this 1 time.......REALLY??? A $6.00 patch?

I just walked into the Arlington store to buy a couple pair of shorts and a couple t-shirts. I was greeted by an employee who asked if I needed help. My response was that I wanted to look around. The employee told me I only had 10 minutes to look around and then I had to leave. I understand the whole covid 19 precautions but this is a little ridiculous! I have never been impressed by the customer service here and after today I couldnt give a Rats A$& if this location closed down!Back to online ordering for me, if I even continue to purchase 5.11 products!UPDATE: Shortly after this review I received a message from 5.11 saying thye would send me a discount coupon for.my trouble and that they would talk to the store and get back with me. Guess what???? Never heard another word from 5.11 and never received a coupon. Looks like Im done with them!

My experience at this shop was excellent. The staff were very friendly and provided their own advice with questions I had with certain products. I walked in only needing a pair of pants and left with boots, pants, shorts and several other items I needed on my list. I will be shopping here again and plan to recommend this location to my friends.

Went in today on my lunch to purchase some equipment and was meet with the rudest sales rep did not practice social Distancing got With in a foot of my face while putting on their mask and they were telling me that they were open for essential people only and I am an essential worker, also followed me around there little store and well with the 6 feet rule and I left there store and will never spend any money on there products and and will

The GM Destiny went above and beyond to help us find what we were looking for. Anyone on their staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend this location. Also excited that they opened this location in Arlington because I had to drive so far to the other one. Love 511!! Satisfied customer!

Ive been here twice and the employees have been very helpful both times. The first time I knew I needed a sling pack but I didnt know which size to get so they helped me decide without trying to up-sell. The second time I knew exactly what I wanted, so they helped me find it on the shelf but didnt try to up-sell me on anything. Theyre also very friendly all together!

I’ve been in 5.11 a few times but today I finally spent some money. I have yet to really wear their pants but they are super comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. That aside, I wanted to mention and praise the staff. Every single time I’ve been in that store the staff greets me as I come in and is very willing to help/spend time explaining differences in products. Kevin, the guy who helped me today made it a point to know my name as well as my wife’s. You know, it’s the little things that make a person become a loyal customer. The sales people I should say the marine retired sales person was very rude. This is my second bad experience with this store. Last time I had a pair of new pants with a belt loop not sewn on across the top and they wouldnt take care of the problem. I have now decided to simply go across the street to Diluth.Roger Pollard

I like these stores more and more everytime I go in them. I really like the 5.11 chino edge pants. So comfortable as I imagine all their pants would be. They are really well built pants. Love them. Tons of tactical and law enforcement clothing supplies.

Tried to carry a pair of pants back that had stiching issues plainly a factory issue. But was treated very cold by the store manager. The pants were two months old purchased on black Friday. She wouldnt do anything at the store level gave me a phone number got put on hold several times was told they would call back but have yet to get a resolution. I was very disappointed in the store service and the customer service I was suppose to hear from. I guess I should have gone across the street to Duluth.

Always a good store to visit, on this most recent trip i picked up some of the new base shorts which are fantastic. The service is always exceptional. The clerk even informed of us free classes that are hosted on the weekend. As always I will be back.

Store was very clean. Prices were identical to website. Does not offer any type of military / leo discount. When asked was told 90% of customer base is military / leo, a discount is not feasible. Even 5% or a few dollars off would have shown appreciation guaranteeing a return customer. No reason to drive two hours there again to shop. Shop at 5.11 website, save your time and fuel to get there.

As a local business owner I can certainly say this store does not know how to conduct business for long term success. They certainly do not have customer first approach. I called to ask about the return policy, and Destiny (store manager) asked why...and when I explained the Frisco store had an anniversary sale for 25% off the $199 plate carrier, I wanted to return the one i purchased from them and save $50 on the one in Frisco. She hung up on me.I drove to Frisco, purchased my new one...then brought my other one with tags still on it as it had only hung in my closet waiting for me to order plates. Drove all the way back to Arlington store where she tells me I will have to come back another time because she doesnt have enough cash on hand to refund me.During this encounter, she makes a comment why didnt you return it to that Frisco store because youre messing up my numbers here. Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME?! Ive spent HUNDREDS of dollars on gear and clothes from THIS store alone. Im well within my return policy.If you put your numbers above a regular spending customer who has (and would) purchase more from you...you lose business. There is NO EXCUSE for making comments and hassling your customers like this.There got your numbers....I wont buy a damn thing from that store (and possibly any 5.11 store) again. Such stupidly selfish thing to lose business over.On top of all if it...when I called back shes argumentative with me talking about being respectful. She obviously doesnt understand that concept. Respectful would be accommodating customersIf I dont get my refund this evening when I return, I will be taking this all the way up to the Dan Acosta if I have to. Im sure they wont make light of bad apples in their company running their business into the ground.

My husband needed new work boots. They didnt have his store in store so they had to order them. Shipping was fast. They were in in about 2 days. And when they came in there actually went on sale. Extra bonus!

I have been to this location three times, always a great selection of gear in stock, I usually stop in to try on some of the clothing before purchase to make sure it fits comfortably. I like the pants that they sell for hiking and outdoor activities as they withstand the conditions, have plenty of pockets, and come in colors that dont show dirt as well. I would give 5 stars for this location except the staff can be extremely pushy to have you buy something in store every time I go here. I just want to try on pants, not immediately feel like I have to purchase something because I walked in the door. Sometimes I would like to try on a couple things and then possibly purchase online when a sale is going on. Dont get me wrong, the clothing is great, and the location usually has the sizes I am looking for, but sometimes being way to pushy on trying to get me to buy something right then and there makes me not want to buy something.

This is a wonderful place to visit and very good customer service and very nice products to offer . I would shop there more often thank you for excellent experience.

My wife, 2 kids and I walked into this store in search for a couple pairs of pants for myself. Due to how well the clothes fit and also the help of a woman named Genea we walked out of there with 4 pairs of pants, 4 shorts, and 6 shirts. If it hadn’t been for exceptional service along with exceptional engineering of these clothes to fit a short thick guy, then I would still be wearing some very uncomfortable clothes. I highly recommend anyone who is 5’6” and shorter to check out a 5-11 and if you are lucky enough to be close to this one then go in and ask for Genea to help you. Thanks again Genea!

I just bought a new peninsula insulator vest peacoat blue color, I love it, thanks to Mr Ronny for his excellent customer service, all the staffs are great.i enjoyed going to this store, am still rocking my boot, that I bought few months ago, great store, great staffs, great quality. Cool people, awesome hardware. Only complaint is the clothes and shoe sizes start at one bigger than my size. I use it as a walk-in internet guide.

Was turning out to be a bust for Christmas gifts this year, but Eric at the Arlington location gave up his own item just so I could have one of the several items I was searching for. Tons of nice 5.11 stuff. Couldnt seem to find the right tactical boot for me though. Too tight, too stiff, too wide, too weird looking. Ended up taking the ones I purchased back because they were wearing out my feet. Friendly and professional staff. Little pricey, but if you like 5.11 stuff, then youll love this place.

We visited this location today, in an attempt to return two pairs of pants that we received as a gift. The sales associates at the store were not helpful at all, and one of them got an attitude with me saying something along the lines of “you haven’t let me finish talking”. We did not have the receipt for the pants as they were a gift. It states on their website under the “returns” section that “Gifts may be exchanged only if original hangtags are attached and the product has not been washed or worn. In the event that the style being returned is no longer available for exchange, a product of equal value may be substituted instead.” The pants were in original condition and had not been worn, all tags were intact. I’ve been buying from 5.11 for a long time, and was very unsatisfied with my visit to the store today, guess it’s time to look around for someone else to buy uniforms from. Surprised that in this day and age with retailers like Amazon and Walmart, that a business with this sort of returns policy is still able to be successful. Hopefully those days are numbered. Get with the times 5.11 and start focusing on your CUSTOMERS needs and satisfaction rather than your own.

Great price on close out items!

Sign says open 10am-8pm....but I wasn’t even allowed IN THE BUILDING at 7:50pm. I explained I just needed to make one return, all I got was a...”sorry man”. If your hours of business say 10am-8pm that means you’re able to make any transaction until that advertised time. Won’t be coming back here.

Stopped in for the first time today to look for a new pair of boots. Sean was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Helped me find just what I needed. I’ll definitely be back.

This place is awesome! All the employees that helped us are veterans. So 5.11 definitely supports our veterans. They have a big selection of pants and shirts which is why we came.

Pretty awesome store. All sorts of tactical gear from boots, shirts, jeans, backpacks, and much more. Pretty pricey though so if youre looking for a bargain try online, quality probably wont be as good though as 5.11 is top notch.

Found everything my husband needed and then some when we went to stock up on stuff for his deployment. Hes gotten great use out of everything and well likely be back for more gear.

I love this store! Not only are the products durable and high quality, but the people are welcoming, friendly, and knowledgable. They are never pushy about products but will guide you to what youre looking for and make recommendations as to something that may fit your needs better. Bonus is they have Black Rifle Coffee! Seriously, if you havent tried it youre missing out. Be prepared to spend more than you planned. Everytime I go something I didnt know I needed catches my eye and I end up getting it. Pictures are from a recent to enchanted rock. I was wearing the womens strike pant. So comfy and protected me from plants while hiking around trails

All three times we have come, we have been treated like we are going to mess up the store! So rude, we were not allowed to touch any pants, they didn’t want us to mess up the selection or the pant sizes, the employees kept following around everywhere we went, it was honestly very uncomfortable, so we came to the one in Frisco to make sure this wasn’t just how they handled business at 5.11 and the experience was AMAZING, it felt like a completely different store, I’m glad that they are not all the same, sadly this one is far away, but we will be traveling the extra 30min just for the customer service, as far as this location we will never come back. A smile doesn’t hurt guys. Highly disappointed.

I didnt know that 5.11 had brick and mortar stores but I was driving by and noticed their sign so I stopped in. Great customer service and awesome products for the outdoors. I love their pants selection for outdoors activities.
