The are fantastic, knowledgeable, kind, understanding, reasonable. I went in with my family to get an instrument and they were definitely the place to go. The lady who helped us was knowledgeable and funny. She made the company feel alive and not just another instrument company. The price is fair all things considered. They definitely look out for your interests in the long run. Would recommend to any body who has questions about music and instruments.

Had a flute from the 70s fully reconditioned. Great communication, good price, and they took necessary precautions to make this process covid safe. Talked about repair options with them first, and I am amazed at the results. Our flute was tarnished and in need of some love. It plays like new and will continue to last us decades.

Love this place. We are renting an instrument from them and when we had an issue with it they were super responsive and within half day they had a replacement ready for us. Masks are wore by personnel for those who are Covid conscious.

Great experience when I bought the instrument! I like that they have experience and can answer questions. I dont like their repair department. You only have the choice to leave your instrument in. Why cant a technician look at it on site? I need my instrument and I do not want a loaner. I cant trust to leave my instrument in. What if the technician does what I dont ask to be done. Its a $2000 instrument.

Everything was so quick and effortless. Im renting an instrument from here and needed a tune-up, and all i really had to do was give the staff member my instrument and tell them what i thought was wrong with it.

Placed an order online for my Sons Clarinet. They called within about 1 to 2 hours to let me know it was ready for pick up. Once there it was a quick walk in and out. Very happy with the service!

Took my flute to get repaired. Good turnaround time. Gave me a loaner instrument that was apparently included in the repair cost. Cost was appropriate. Highly recommend.

Great staff and a good set of music instructors for lessons. One of the instructors knowledgeable on violas and violins actually worked with us (playing 9 or 10 different instruments) to choose a viola for purchase. Note: it was not the most expensive viola.

The renting fees are outrageous. Sure it’s nice cuz maintenance and repair is included. They guy said 7-10 days. It turned into 2 weeks for just sonic cleaning. The loaner that they gave me is a older trumpet and the valves weren’t oiled!

Worst experience ever. We ordered an instrument 15 days ago and hasnt arrived yet.They want the payment upfront but when you call them they do not answer properly. .Everytime when I call they gave me different excuses. They gave me such a hard time to communicate and work something out. The manager does not know what professionalism is .

I come here often when I need new strings or to buy new music. Usually quick service and there is almost always someone at the front desk. The employees are friendly and very helpful.

I brought a flute in and left specific instructions asking them not to polish the body and leave the darker color. I only wanted the interior cleaned and the instrument repadded. Ive had this flute for close to eight years and had it worked on before, leaving the same instructions. I have played with other musicians who also own discolored flutes, so I know it isnt totally out of the ordinary.They called before they started work on it to confirm payment method, and I once again reminded them not to polish the flute.The repair took about a month, which I partially expected given the timing and nature of the overhaul, but Ive never had to wait that long for a repair before.They completely disregarded my instructions and polished the flute, ruining years of colorization I had been planning. The flute is not essentially worthless to me, as I own other, much nicer flutes.When they asked to follow up with the repairs, they said there is nothing they can do about it. They gave me a handfull of excuses about how it wouldnt be possible to fix the flute without polishing, something I know from past experience is simply not true. After a few brief exchanges they finally owned up to ignoring or missing my instructions.They offered me a $20 refund, a drop in the bucket compared to the $250+ I spent to have it fixed up, not to mention yet again the 8+ years Ive had the flute discolored and the planning I put into it. This felt like a slap in the face more than anything, they know they cant undo the damage they have done and wanted resolve this for their own good merit, not for the damage they have done.Do NOT use their service unless you like the idea of them blatently disregarding the wishes of the customer.

It took a while to get my flute and my brother a viola and a few months later my flute had a huge screw coming out from. Inside and affects my playing because some keys are stuck and you can only get them. Unstuck for a short amount of time

Gave them my daughters flute to get an estimate in fully assembled conditon with a note bring a bit too high but cost was too high, so we picked up. As we got in the car, my daughter opened her flute and it fell apart in her hands in the parking lot. Quinlan and fabish arent claiming responsibly and are charging us to fix a problem they created

Quoted me $252 for a minor repair on my daughters flute. Wanted to sell a complete overhaul. Found an HONEST store in Evanston and they repaired while I waited.....$20 !!!!! I rest my case!
