My computer broke down, and with high urgency to get it fixed to get back to working from home, I called this shop and spoke with the owner Mark. Mark was so helpful and willing to help me. I called 10 minutes before he closed for the day, and he actually waited for me to drop off my pc, when he easily could have closed up shop and told me to come the next morning. Amazing service, low price, and very fast. Mark and I had a great conversation. He’s a real friendly guy and will be going to him for any future computer needs. 100% recommend this shop over any others in the area.

I had an emergency that needed to be taken care of immediately. I frenetically called a few places in the early morning, and they werent open until 11:00AM. One of them suggested PC Rescue and Mark. I called and left a VM at 8:50AM. Then, I called again at 9:10AM and spoke with Mark.He didnt give me an excuse like, It may take a day or two, or Im too busy today. He simply told me to bring in my machine, so that he could take a look at it. He also told me where I could park upon my arrival.Once in the store, the whole process took only 30 minutes. It was rather a simple fix (as I had seen on youtube, but I didnt have the time to research and learn the process or buy the necessary flash drive). I needed a pro to fix it ASAP, and Mike accomplished just that in a half-hour. I was so relieved!His hourly rate is applicable whether he spends 10 min., 30 min., or 60 min.

I found Mark at PC Rescue (229 S Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights) online. Based on a strong review someone else had posted, I decided to give him a try. My Toshiba laptop (old, 2015) had been acting up for the last couple of weeks, and suddenly it shut down. I no longer had access to some very critical data. Mark was fantastic, he was able to recover my data through a last-resort method, because the hard-drive was not giving it up, and was over-heating. He installed a new hard-drive, upgraded the operating system, and did some other technical things that I cant describe, but he can. Now my five-year-old laptop looks and feels like a new computer. I highly recommend Mark and PC Rescue to anyone having laptop issues, or just for general maintenance. He is extremely knowledgeable and spends time in educating his clients – walked me through everything he did and all the new/existing functionality. Both thumbs up!

Mark is awesome! Honest as the day is long. We brought in our laptop to be repaired for physical damage. I was also have an issue with the laptop itself and thought I would have to use our warranty to get that issue resolved. Mark not only said the cost to repair the crack wasnt worth it. He then went on to say that he was working on my issue and while we were on the phone he said yup youre good to go now come get the laptop. When my husband asked what we owed him he said if you want to throw me a few bucks that would be fine. My husband gave him the cash he had on him...$30. If we ever need our laptops fixed Mark and PC Rescue will be our go to guy from now on. Took maybe 2 hours at the most.

Great establishment! They repair computers fast and Mark is super nice. If you ever have trouble with any tech give em a visit. They got my seal of approval.

My PC would not power up. I thought it was perhaps a bad power supply. I looked up purchasing a new power supply and thought about replacing it myself. Ultimately I thought it might be beyond me to swap out the part. I brought it to PC Rescue on Friday afternoon and by Saturday morning they had it repaired and charged only slightly more than the part I was considering purchasing.

Very disappointed, the worst experience I ever had, I took my computer to this guys, they were so nice to me and saying that they will fixed, but right after I pick it up and paid them I got the same problem, I went back to them they were rude and keep and and didnt want to fixed. More than that they wanted to charge me again for fixing the same issue. Be aware this guys ar crooks!

The gentleman who works here is well educated on computer problems and sales. The merchandise he sells is at the utmost quality and will give advice of how to properly maintain your new machine.

We have been using the service for the last 10 years. This is even after we have moved downtown. Mark had helped us with setting up new computers and fixing seriously problems. He has always met our expectations and has never tried selling us more than what we needed.

I brought my laptop to this place because of a power problem. The starting button it is not running up the device every time when i need it. The man who is working there he switched an detail that apparently has nothing to do with the problem, charged me for this and returned the laptop back to me with broken loosing parts. The problem is still persisting.

A few weeks ago I had someone hack my computer and successfully shut down everything. I brought my computer to PC Repair and Mark successfully rebuilt my new computer that the hackers had destroyed. I found the price to repair the computer to be very reasonable and Mark was very helpful explaining what had happened and how to avoid similar scams by hackers in the future.

My desktop computer was hanging up at the login screen so I brought it in here because I was told they will not charge to diagnose the problem. Mark looked at it and a day or so later he came to the conclusion it was the power supply (for some reason). He told me he had some old ones lying around he could put in and itd be ready for pickup. No pricing was discussed at all until after the work was already completed and I was told I could pick up the computer which ended up being $135 for parts and labor. Whatever, Fine (although it would have been really nice if he at least gave me an estimate on everything before doing anything). But when I brought it home it still hung up at the login screen so I brought it back and he then said it was the OS and tried asking for another $150 to reinstall Windows 10. No thank you.IF you use this place make sure to ask for a price before work is done because he clearly will not tell you unless you do. However I will not bother going there again.
