My expectations were low but somehow they managed to be below my already low expectations. Offered me $6.00 for some very nice Rag & Bone boots. I think the lady next to me with a bin full of target an old navy clothes get the same offer as I did, So don’t try and sell anything nice there. Try sell it yourself on posh or eBay or donate to charity

I love coming here. But today was not the day to come and pick up my online order. I knew that the store was having their big designer sale, but the way that I was treated was not right. I saw Karen and all I said was that I was here to pick up an online order. Karen very nastily said that she was by herself and couldnt get it for me. Another customer was standing right there and saw how Karen spoke to me. All she had to say was that she could get it for me shortly. I was more than happy to wait for my order. But the way that she spoke to me was not very nice. Im a very good customer. I understand that the big sale was on, but she could have spoken to me better.

I love this store! I have purchased from afar for 2 years. They are always prompt and courteous and ship quickly. Whenever I have a question, they answer right away. They include personal notes on packages and want to make sure I am satisfied. The items I have purchased are always in excellent condition, this tells me that they are choosy regarding what they purchase. I know that frustrates some customers who are selling, but it is because they have to hold the inventory, and they know what sells. Wonderful business!!!

I can only order from Clothes Mentor online because we don’t have one in my state, but both times have been for a pair of Birkenstocks. Both times they were shipped quickly and with lots of care in packaging. Also both came with a handwritten note. I now have a purse on the way (also ordered from the Clothes Mentor website.) love them!!

Im so impressed with their online store. The amount of care that goes into the packaging (everything was individually wrapped!!), everything is described, especially items that have some flaws (purses with scratches, stains, etc). Its always a bit iffy to purchase online with used items, but Im so happy with my order! Thank you guys!

When some of the clothes mentor locations went virtual during Covid, Arlington heights quickly became my favorite place to shop online! Lots of fun goodies pop up all the time! I’ve also had the best communication and customer service from the owners and staff :)

I love coming to this store to browse and shop however after today I will not be back. The brown hair girl working was not covering with a mask properly even when helping customers. I will not shop somewhere that does not care about safety of their customers. Every other store I can go to does take their customers health seriously. I spoke to friends who agree and also will not go back. Management here does not care about customers.

I have shopped at this store for many years and have sold and bought from them. I am always given the opportunity to ask about the price offered for an item and have the right to say no thank you. Russ has been working here as long as I can remember and it is nice to hear his voice greeting me as I enter. He is always helpful on the phone and very polite. He has a good eye for clothes that will sell and looks through my items to sell carefully. I am glad he does this, since I also purchase there and I know I am getting good, clean, fairly new merchandise.

The Clothes Mentor store in Arlington Heights is the best resale shop I have ever been to, including some on the North Shore in Glencoe and Highland Park. I am always greeted when I enter the store and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I never need to worry about buying a knockoff of a designer brand handbag as Karen, the owner, always verifies the authenticity of all the designer bags. Though the store does not hold merchandise for customers, you can purchase the item over the phone. I have done this before and the staff will let you know the condition of the item and send additional pictures, if requested. Clothes Mentor in Arlington Heights is my “go to” resale shop.

I dont know why but I was waiting for a dressing room and the clothes mentor lady said shed take me to another one in the back. So I followed her and it was the mens bathroom. She said theres a full length mirror in there so here you go. I was like well okay and overheard her put another woman in the womens bathroom. Why would anyone want to let their customers change in the bathroom? Its unsanitary and their own clothes are going to get dirty or robbed. Its not like theres a place to put the clothes on a hook. You just lay them on the floor or sink. So I just left and didnt change. :/

Karen, the store manager, and her fabulous crew of Russ and Leila always provide excellent customer service. They are so very helpful and I always find great bargains on my favorite high end designer items of Burberry and Tiffany items! Highly recommend. 😊

If I could I would give them 0 stars. Asked about availability of an item and was told to call the store to make a purchase over the phone. Called several times and no one answered. Got to a store in less than 10 minutes and the item was sold to someone else when I clearly said that I am on my way. Never buying from them ever again.. horrible customer service.LOL TO THE RESPONSE BELOW!!! WOW!! Very professional... I was banned for screaming... show me a video with a proof... Someone cant handle a negative review. Good luck keeping a business. This store is a joke.

I really love the clothes mentor stores. The stores have great selections and worth the time to shop. Sometimes the employees are not so friendly no hello when you come into the store like the other clothes mentors but if your close dont let that stop you. The store is next to Kohls tucked in a corner so dont miss it.

I had been looking forward to visiting this store because Ive been following them on FB. I walked in and felt invisible at no time did anyone speak to me offer any kind of help AT ALL. They seemed to be enjoying each others company very much. So I headed to Macys and spent my money there. This is the second clothes Mentor Ive been too EXACT SAME problem. This is a great clothes mentor. Karen and her crew are the best. Please keep in mind that this is a business. You are never going to recover what you paid. You also do not have to accept the offer to buy. You can refuse and do it yourself. You are adults and are not being pressured. So based on this information when people leave bad reviews it is based on them not getting what they think they should. That is not a reason to be negative. This is a business that has margins just like every other store. So stop hating on them. Dont sell to them and than b_tch about how you were wronged. You werent. I love that i get some cash and go. They were very rude when I walked in last week. I wanted to sell some clothes. The manager was so disrespectful and rude to me. Dont go there. Many other places that are nice to sell your clothing. They did not even look at my stuff before saying no, they did not went to buy. I had lots of nice brands like coach and such that they did not even look at.

Rude Staff member. Literally just walked in the store and instead of being greated with a friendly hello, we received a cold just so you know we close in 20 min. Acted like we were a bother to have even walked in 20 minutes prior to the store closing. You are going to lose a lot of business that way. Might want to re-evauate your greeting protocols. Russell was so rude and cold every time I go in this store to sell he questioned me like I stole something and lowballs me like crazy. When I first went there I had a wonderful experience with the owner she was awesome. Every experience with Russell I felt discriminated against NO RUSSELL I DIDNT STILL THE LV AND ITS WORTH MORE THAN 100.00 as you give the other lady 85.oo for a small Michael Kors bag! I will NEVER go the his store again.
