This place has horrible customer service. Never try to mend things with me when I was rudily handle and my car was filthy when I got it back.

I called to get a price on a paint job for a rear bumper and the person answering the phone was extremely rude from the beginning. He told me: “give me your name and phone number because i am super busy I work on 20 cars a week not just 1 cmon man I’m busy and processed to hang up” keep in mind that he was rude from the moment he picked up. I understand that shops get busy and its not a easy job but he could of At least had some manners and been nicer??? I don’t understand how a shop like that plans on staying in business in the long run considering how bad customer service is and how bad some of the reviews of this place are. I called a different shop right after on Elmhurst rd and there customer service was already so much better.

Had a tire blowout on my way to work and this was a shop my roadside assistance provided. The owner was quick to assess my tire and wheel. Happened to have a gently used tire one model different from what was on my car. Had me in and out in about an hour. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable despite having a busy morniin. Cant recommend enough.

So glad that I found this place. I just got back from 10 days vacation last Monday 2/1 and I have my car stranded in hotel parking lot by Ohare. My roadside assistance asked me where I want to tow my car and I saw this place as one of the options. I searched for reviews before I pick a company and Magnum Automotive has great reviews so I chose this place and I am happy that I did. The owner Tim went above and beyond with his service. Hes very busy but yet when hes done with the car, he asked if I need a ride or a pick up. He personally went and pick me up at my hotel. My battery was the issue and I guess this because it has die once on me before my trip. I should have changed it then. He showed me the report on my old battery and the new battery. Hes very honest and his price is cheap! I asked him to add $50 to what he charged me for tip and he told me NO. He said he just wants to help and happy to help. Talk about wow factors! Ive totally been WOW-ed then. I was a very satisfied customer.

Worst place on the Fin planet. My car was hit in October 2020. My insurance cut them a check so I had to go to them for repairs. They were overwhelmed so the didnt pick my car up til February of 2021. They cashed the check and my deductible check and still didnt have my car ready til April. Simply ridiculous. The owner was rude and inconsiderate. He lacked professionalism and yell at me cause I called about my car once a week. Honestly ONE STAR is to high

No one ever says, ooh, let me take my car to the mechanic with a happy face. But after my first encounter with the fabulous of Mr. Stef, or Timothy as hes known to his clients, Im so glad that I was referred to his very wonderful business. While preparing a delicious cup of coffee for me, he recounted a brief history of how he came to this country and built his business from nothing into something from Romania. He speaks a few different languages and we had many good laughs during my visit to get my tire pressure checked. You can tell hes totally trustworthy and I had been holding off getting my car worked on for fear of being taken advantage of as a female who doesnt have much knowledge of under the hood stuff but Mr. Stef is totally reliable, trustworthy and charming. He could have been a comedian in a past!! Also a testament to his reputation was the totally packed garage, there was barely even a place to park your car because he had so much business and his healthy number of business accounts. I witnessed his phone ring so many times during my visit and mainly from insurance companies sending their clients vehicles to him. Thank you Mr. Stef.

Walked in today for misfires. Got my car back already but I must say I have never met such an honest Mechanic before in my life. I appreciate him popping my bumper back in as it was sticking out from a previous accident. His effort in helping to find a solution with this oil mystery I have going on with my vehicle. Truly amazing his honesty on all the work he had done on my vehicle also sharing free information about a noise he heard and a recall I have. Like cmon this is the kind of customer service I have been looking for all my life 👏🏼 I appreciate your business!!!!

I took my car over to Tim at Magnum after another driver pulled in front of me and messed up the front of my car. The car was dropped off and I drove a rental until my car was fixed.When I went to pick up my car I couldn’t believe my eyes! The whole front end looked BETTER THAN NEW !! He did a spectacular job on my car and I would DEFINITELY recommend his business !!

10 out of 10 customer service and vehicle service from Magnum! Had my A/C system charged here and they are one of few shops that service vehicles that require R-1234yf refrigerant. Automotive services require time and patience so I suggest to anybody to have plenty of both before visiting. You will be glad you did. Thank you Magnum!

Tim is great! He is honest and trustworthy and has helped me out of jam on many occasions! I recommend him to all my friends and would take my car to no one else (learned that lesson the hard way!). Finding a mechanic you can trust is hard to find and I am so thankful to know Tim! Dont let his gruff tone fool you, he is very caring and a softy on the inside :)

Great service and very wonderful people to work with! Our car broke down on a trip from North Dakota and Tim got us in and fixed up THAT day so we could head on our way back home. He squeezed us in even when they were busy. Tim was honest about repairs and showed us exactly what was wrong. :)

Inspected the used vehicle Im considering purchasing free of charge. They took it for a drive, and even put it up on the lift and let me have a look under the car for myself. Thats earns them a good mark in my book.

My car battery was dead during my trip to Chicago. After waiting 3 hours for a roadside assistance provided by Progressive, my car was driven to Magnum Automotive. I did not know the place but I saw the references in google maps. And I have to say that they were fair with the Tims business. He was really kind, he checked my car immediately and he showed me the approximate cost. He suspected the alternator was broken and he made a price estimation. After a proper car inspection just a small piece was broken, and although he already order a new alternator, he was fair and he did not replace it, just the metallic piece. Finally, the new repair price was down and I could make my trip the same day. I really appreciate that.

I came here with an issue of steering wheel vibration on my Lexus ES350, the owner Tim seemed busy. He did test drive the vehicle and told me that the rotors are worn and even tires need replacement but to be sure asked me to bring vehicle some other day. I went back after few days, he inspected the vehicle and said he will email me the estimate same day by evening for new rotors and tire replacement. Despite of reminding him 3 times the same week, it has now been 2 months and I have not received the estimate. So, I ended up going somewhere else for repairs. The guy seems to have lot of knowledge but too busy and ignores people from whom he thinks could not make much of the money on repairs.

Great service for all your needs, very knowledgeable and honest.If those are characteristics that you are looking for on a shop this is the place to visit.

Problems with car? Dont spend your time and money in other shops trying to figure out whats wrong with it. Ask for Timothy, 20 plus years experience in car repair. Saved me a lot of money, strongly recommend

WARNING! WARNING! Save your money, headaches and avoid this place at all cause. Worse service ever. Long story short… I had a minor windshield chip on my Lexus, so I got a hold of GlassDoctor that operates out of this place (Magnum Automotive) in Arlington Heights, because it was the best deal (what a mistake). Well, the chip repair didn’t work as expected, so entire windshield was replaced. Here is when the stress and headaches started. Soon after the new windshield, I noticed two things 1. Air leak & 2. Wipers auto settings not working. BTW, Tim (perhaps the owner) is SUPER RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and DOES NOT KNOW or UNDERSTANDS HOW TO LISTEN TO A CUSTOMER. Also, Tim couldn’t hear the air leak when I took him for a ride, but my wife, my child, and even friends have no problems hearing the air leak. Tim, also will not have his brother (employee that installed the shield) or any other employee check it out after saying he would have someone take a listening. In re: the wiper auto issue… I’ve followed up numerous times and same story from Tim… “Haven’t heard from Lexus yet about “My Problem” and that he will call me back when he hears something”. BTW I called my local Lexus dealer and in a 5 min conversation it sounds like the wipers issue is due to calibration. Anyway, today (Aug 12, 2015) was my last phone call to Tim and it was obvious that he is not going to do anything about my concerns / issues. I need to move on. Again, this guy Tim is so freakin’ rude that I had to tell him to be quiet and listen in order for me to get a word in during our phone conversation today. In fact, all my conversations (over 4 diff occasions) with Tim, I’ve had to ask him to stop talking and to listen what I have to say. So, lesson learned here… not worth saving a few bucks on a windshield repair / replacement and go get it done right elsewhere. Note: I gave Tim over 4 months to resolve his poor and unacceptable job and nothing from him… not even a single courteous call with a status. Magnum Automotive… NEVER Never but never AGAIN & Thanks for nothing and wasting my time.No stars from me, but had to at least give it 1 in order to post this review.
