Its never fun when you have to take your car to the body shop after an accident but the team at J.R. was terrific to work with. They helped explain the process, kept me informed during the repairs and did a top quality job. I also though their prices were very fair and they made the process of working with insurance hassle free.

They scratched my car. And out shouldve been 2-3 days but it took a week. Whos to say that my car wouldve not gotten scratched had it not been there the extra 4-5 daysUPDATE 9/14Took my car in to the shop and they took accountability in their mistake and fixed the problem and even touched up on another smaller blemish that I knew I had prior. No arguments. This showed good values, accountability, and got character. After everything said and done, these guys help people get their babies (cars) back to normal. Changed from a 1 to a 3

No waiting for an estimate. I received an appointment within a few days for body work. So courteous and professional. I needed a new bumper which required painting to match the car. A perfect match! I also received a new tail light. When I dropped off car, I was given a courtesy ride to an auto rental. When I picked up my car, I was able to leave the rental with J.R. They also cleaned the interior and exterior of my car! Thank you J.R. I worked with Jim. He made the experience stress free. Megan is a great receptionist. Thank you J.R. Certainly 5 stars.

Great auto body shop. Ben and his crew are very detail oriented and have worked on a few of our cars. (It happens with teenagers!) Although it is never fun to have to use a body shop, I would recommend J.R. Auto to anyone. No one could tell that any of our cars had damage and they had the vehicles back to us in a timely manner. This is not a 5star review it is a 1 star but i dont want it to be hidden at the bottom.YOU BE THE JUDGE! OWNER IS A BLATANT LIAR!! (Claiming i pocketed insurance money, which im pretty sure is what JR Auto collision does) This Review is a response to the owners response to my other recent one star review. I dont have time to go back an forth with this guy, but I wanted to make everyone aware that the owner of JR is putting words in my mouth. First off I was never planning on leaving my car with JR. I came in looking for an estimate first and foremost. (i was hoping to drive my car as i do not have rental insurance) Upon looking at the car, the estimator(JR employee) told me the car was unsafe to drive and that I should not drive it off the lot. I was surprised to hear this as most if not all of the damage was cosmetic to the front bumper and lights, but I took his word for it...my mistake.I had some other damage on my vehicle from a previous incident, (completely unrelated to the accident) and I asked JR to quote doing that work separately from the insurance work. I figured since it was going to the body shop id get it all done at once. I bring this up because i asked specifically for JR to call me with both estimates before they started the work. Never once did they tell me repairs would take 5 to 7 business days, nor did i ask if i could leave my vehicle for repairs. (as stated in the response). Never once was the repair process explained to me, i was under the impression that this was just an estimate.Fast forward a couple of days. I decided to reach out to JR because i had not received a phone call. Also, I have state farm and there was no communication from them that an estimate was sent to them, nor was there any estimate available in the state farm app (i had been checking frequently).I called and asked what the holdup was with my estimate, and the guy on the phone said that they had already started repairs. I said i never authorized any repairs and that i wanted to get a second opinion. The guy on the phone said thats not how this works, call your insurance company if you have a problem with that. That is exactly what i did, state farm put a call in to JR and immediately asked to stop work. This is when i decided to pay out of pocket to have my car towed to skokie to have a body shop that i know and trust handle the work. This was very inconvenient and expensive for me. I am out money on this whole situation, and to read that the Owner of JR is accusing me of pocketing insurance money is just sad. He is trying to cover his own tracks and put the blame on someone else. He knows JR is in the wrong and was just trying to get that insurance money himself.Dont be fooled by the good reviews, this guy is a liar and is dishonest take your business elsewhere.

Professional group of individuals who did a great job on a repair. Quote was done promptly as a walk-in customer, and great follow through and updates during the repair process.

I took my car to J.R. Auto Collision Repair to have the front bumper replaced on my Ford Fusion. I was greeted by Ben, who was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me an estimate in less than 20 minutes. Within 24 hours, my car looked like new, with the bumper perfectly matching the rest of the car. Excellent workmanship at a reasonable price.

Jim and Jeff are great to work with! They are professional, thorough and the quality of their work is supurb! I highly recommend their services.

Don’t take your car here for insurance work, they go behind your back and start working on the car without communicating a thing to the customer, had to have my car towed to another body shop. Save yourself the Hastle, I wasn’t even going to review but they sent me a link to do so, so this is what you get JR.

Worst customer service, rude and dont care about future customers. I have been asking for 5 days to upload estimate to insurance, and their response was I am busy and I dont have to explain myself to you.

Nice work had my car back to me next day

Had my neighbor decide to give me a new racing stripe down the side of my car. Was an insurance claim through state farm, not only was the whole process super easy, they car looks fantastic. both doors had damage on the passenger side and now its like they never happened. Even touched up some rock chips on my hood. I had asked what it would cost to paint the hood but cant justify an expense right now since lockdown and furlough but they went and touched it up for me for free. I would let that lady hit my car again so they could fix it. I dont leave reviews on things but when it comes to my car ive been screwed over a lot in the past and these guys were great

I was so disappointed in my experience with JR Auto- i selected the repair shop because of the amazing reviews. I have to believe there has been a staff or management change thats impacted their level of service. To recap my experience:- we were told car repair would take 5 days, it took 21- we never received a call or update in those 21 days unless we initiated contact- an incorrect bill was submitted to insurance that missed some of the costs so a new report had to be drafted- this caused a delay. Mistakes happen, but the auto shop was not transparent about the cause of the delay, we had to get details from insurance & then the auto shop accepted fault- the kicker is that when i drove off the lot about a mile away from the shop, lights came on & my tire back tire was deflatedMoral of the story- id pick a different spot. I recommend Denny Gs in Des Plaines - professional, efficient, and fair.

Exceptional customer service, workmanship, and expertise! I took my brand new Cadillac SRX here after it had been rear-ended, causing over $8,000 worth of damage. Jeff was easy to work with, responsive, and kept me in the loop the entire time my car was in the shop. He worked with the insurance company and made certain that my car had only quality replacement parts used! My car looks beautiful, all of the parts look great, and he got my insurance to cover an additional $3,000 in damages that they originally under-quoted. This place is awesome. Part of my bumper shield fell and was dragging on the street, I was so stressed, needed to get to work and didn’t know where to get it fixed. Luckily I called JR Collision. Everyone was so nice and attentive. Zachary did the estimate, presented options and removed damaged piece at no charge. I was on my way to work in 20 minutes. Unbelievably great service. I would never go anywhere else.
