Very helpful staff. They made me feel very comfortable and reassured.
The only thing I was disappointed by was the fact that I found out my contacts had a mail in rebate which would’ve made my entire years worth cheaper than 6 months worth which I what I got. Other than that, my glasses fit perfect & the women who helped me took the time to shop through them with me & pick a pair. She was so nice & made my experience so much nicer than my normal dreaded appointment

I have nothing but respect for this, very competent, group of people. every single one. it was so heart warming to see how they were helping an elderly lady all the time i was there. and the eye doctor himself, doesnt miss a beat.... been going there for many years for my safety glasses

It was very busy. But got in pretty quick for my appointment. Lots of frames to choose from. Good overall teamwork.

Seems like a great place. Had been going to a large box retailers optical department, and will definitely be switching. Large selection of glasses and they even had a full year supply of my contact lenses IN STOCK (and mine arent super common). Eye doc was great. Everyone else was friendly even with it being the a couple days before a holiday. They were taking Covid precautions very seriously. Im not sure why they have such a low rating, but maybe I got lucky? Regardless, Ill be coming back and my wife will be switching to them.
Had a nice experience @ the shopko optical, 1st time there. I was in & out with a regular exam in about 25-30 min max the Dr. was quick short & precise which I was ok with. The obtritions were very kind & helpful with the initial tests as well. Great crew it seemed like everyone was in synced and had a position & did it well. Im satisfied.
They were super friendly, polite, profesional. I felt welcome. They keep the office clean and sanitize after each patient is treated. They maintain a pleasant atmosphere among employees and they are very cordial.
Many mixups at this Shopko Optical, including Rx. Not helpful with my daughter despite her calling to clear things up multiple times and trying to get her corrected Rx. I wouldnt expect staff would tell her a few steps in a prescription wont make a difference Huh??

The optometrist was good, very helpful and knowledgable. Also, the girl doing the vision tests was very personable. But the experience was ruined at the end of the appointment. The girl that I presume to be the manager was DO rude. She was loudly barking orders to her team and it made me so uncomfortable. They also were talking loudly about other patients using their first and last name. Uhh, do they not know the HIPAA laws. Lastly, the lady checking me out did not listen and seemed a bit rude and incompetent. Even though the Dr was great, I would NOT go back because of how uncomfortable his team made me!

I couldnt ask for more. I received my glasses in about a week. The facility is right on top of the COVID protocol. Friendly and helpful staff and s great selection of frames.
I’m not please at all. I had my appointment on February 4th. During that time they stated they wouldn’t be able to tell me the price of everything because my insurance didn’t go through yet. They made it clear that it was being held up on their end (shopko corporate)and not mine. They did mention that this sometimes happens if my insurance doesn’t actually cover shopko optical. I knew for sure my insurance would cover the appt/frames. But they said they would call me the next day with an update, so I didn’t discuss it further. The next day rolled around...no call. The next week rolled around no call. So I finally called on Tuesday the 16th. They told me the exact same thing they told me the day of my appt. But nothing was being solved....after a whole week! So I called my insurance the following day. They said they sent the prior authorization over and everything is in good standing. They said it’s just waiting for me to pay for everything. They also mentioned that sometimes, dr offices don’t realize that they already received the prior auth and will try to ask for it again. When they do this, it then will look like The patient doesn’t have insurance. So I called shopko optical once again on, Thursday the 18th, and filled them in. They told me they had brought it up to their manager and that they know I’ve been patiently waiting. I called again Yesterday, Monday the 22nd. There was no answer and I left a voicemail. Still nothing!!! It’s been over two weeks! If something isn’t being processed or entered in at the shopko corporate office then fix it! I’m not so patient anymore and this is completely ridiculous! I don’t even know if my glasses have been made yet! My next step will be to call shopko corporate, to do THEIR job.
I was working with Tamra. She was very friendly and positive. The other workers and eye doctor were also very nice and social. My whole appointment was relatively quick in terms of getting eyes check wise. Took me 40-50 minutes to gets my eyes tested, fitted for contacts, pick out frames, and pay. To me that is not bad because I have experienced being at the eye doctor for an hour or more. Overall it was a good experience. I will continue to go here for my next eye care appointments.
I think the team at Shopko Optical is great. I use the Oneida St location in Appleton.

Saw Dr LaCount at my latest appointment and was very satisfied with the eye exam. She really took her time and did a wonderful job. I was then helped out by Tara when it was time to leave. She was clearly knowledgeable and helpful while getting me out in a timely manner.
I had great service in store and on the phone. but still waiting for my glasses because lab ended up breaking them since the lab is only 20 min away they shouldve drove my glasses here instead of shipping them and make me wait 2 more days since it been 14 days already since they made the mistake
Like always they all did an amazing job (techs and md). This visit was a little different due to the covid virus, but they all followed the proper protocols to keep me and their staff safe. Dr klika always makes sure I understand my eye issues and if I dont he explained them in a way Im able to. I would recommend Dr Klika and his entire staff to everyone. They always go above and beyond!👍

The satisfaction guarantee posted on the wall is a joke. The person attempting to adjust my fit was incompetent at best, and had to be helped by someone who then broke my lens. Reordered my lens, had to wait another week. The lens was an accident just one of those things and completely forgivable. While picking up the second time I got the same person, talk about bad luck! We are struggling though the fitting and the side shields keep coming off. Anyone who has ever had to wear safety glasses knows they must be secure. I was told “side shields are finicky“. I got up and told them I’d find someone else to fix them. And I did. My boyfriend immediately figured out that they were missing the pin that holds them on. He took them back and after hearing about how my “petite face” was causing the issue. Someone finally put the pin in. No longer removable but at least they stay on the glasses. At this point, getting a half way decent pair of glasses is all I can hope for. So I put them on and they are actually secure and I can start getting used to the bifocals. WRONG AGAIN! The bifocals are set differently. They aren’t even in the same spot on each lens! I give up. I’ll just spend the next year while I’m waiting to get new lenses sharing this less than stellar experience.
Annual exam. Reservation and appointment went off well. New office is nice. They had a staff member call in sick and still served us timely.

Made appts for my daughter and myself 2 weeks ago. My exam was done and they said our insurance isn’t covered here. Uhhhh what? You should have known that before our appts were done. Older lady working was very nice. Sarah (short hair and glasses) was very rude, pushy and of absolute no help at all. Completely inexperienced but acts knowledgeable. Even rude to her co workers. I’ve never seen such unprofessional behavior. Dr was very nice.

Went to the Oneida location to get my daughter’s glasses fixed and I was told that I had to go to the Northland location because they had our records. Well I drove 20 minutes to the Northland location and there I was told they should have been able to get them sent to get fix right at the Oneida location.The Northland location is always great though!
The new manager Tara G. is very very rude and unprofessional. First encounter she gave attitude and kept cutting me off. She made things very complicated and extremely inconvienient. She wouldnt allow to have my information faxed over to new optical asap. Finally went in to talk to her, but she wouldnt come out. She just hid behind a pillar and had a coworker come talk to me and apologize on her behalf. Obviously, she wasnt sorry for her rudeness. I could clearly see her stink face AND hear her scoffing. She was literally whispering to another coworker about my situation. Never ever coming back. I heard many people quit when she became manager. I have sympathy for the people who have to work under her terribble management.

Awful service - they all look like they’re on drugs. Tried selling me glasses when I had undiagnosed convergence insufficiency. They’ don’t take care of their customers. I’m not at all surprised by the negative reviews. They tried making $$ off of my suffering. Appleton eye clinic is where it’s at! Oh yea and my prescription was wrong by them! What a joke! Never going back.
Been going there for 15-20 years, Ive always had great service. Great prices on contacts and Dr Richard Toellner is very trustworthy
Ive been coming here for as long as I can remember, but in the last year they have gotten my lenses messed up twice - they put them in UPSIDE DOWN so I got dizzy and headaches. Such an inconvenience. Dont plan on coming here anymore!
Asked for a copy of the prescription in order to pick it up and get cheap glasses from another establishment and was told that since the eye appointment was a year ago that she would intentionally write on the prescription the words Prescription is expired - DO NOT REFILL so that another establishment could not fill prescription. Very rude, unhelpful and very unprofessional. I will not return to Shopko Optical in the future. - Pastor Dan
