I highly recommend for breakfast. Right on the river. We had the lox and the avocado toast. Both excellent. My son liked his iced macadamia coffee.

Tempest has a very chill environment that is great if you want to catch up with friends or just drink a coffee and read by yourself. Their all-vegan baked goods are always amazing, and their coffee is the best I’ve ever had. The employees are so nice. The outdoor patio during the warmer months is lovely, especially because it’s overlooking the river. Tempest is an A+ coffee shop.

Items on menus were cancelled not many choices.. place was clean.. prices high but seems like they need to for the lack of foot traffic. Its quiet by the water and the trail. Would I go here? Possibly to get away by myself or with my wife once in awhile. Looks like its more suited for spring summer and fall.. once its colder outside doesnt seem it will be warm inside and would get crowded easily since its rather small.

I absolutely adore this Café. The staff are so kind and sociable, the food is top quality and the atmosphere makes it the perfect place to sit and talk with friends.

Cool vibe but our experience wasnt worth it. The wait was over 40 minutes after ordering, and we saw people who ordered after us get their food first. If youre just passing through, there are probably better places to stop.

This is the type of place I’m afraid to write a good review for. I want it to be a well kept secret! It’s a great little cafe with delicious food and great coffee right on the river with quaint, comfortable seating outside. I live nearby and started walking here for a nice breakfast and coffee and I am going to be a new regular for sure. Nothing negative to say at all!

My friend and I had our coffee there every 2 weeks during last year and this springs pandemic indoors. Excellent coffee, excellent service, excellent bakery. It was our savior. Their outdoor patio is divine as well. Loved the mandatory mask requirement inside. Thank you.

I loved the atmosphere at Tempest. It has a lot of windows making it bright and inviting. It is comfortable with different types of seating from a couch, to tables and chairs, to high top seating at the counter. I had the Sap Sugar Latte. It had a unique flavor that i enjoyed.

Delicious food and drink offerings and gorgeous location. Right on the river, Tempest Coffee Collective offers the best views of Appleton. I appreciate the menu is short and sweet with only the best options. Pictured is the seasonal Lumberjack Latte, Sage and tonic espresso, and breakfast biscuits. I have zero complaints and always offer up Tempest as my brunch suggestions to friends and visitors.

Stopped here for coffee and was very impressed. Wonderful staff, phenomenal coffee, and the Dixie Dawn? Absolutely one of the best breakfast sandwiches Ive had in the valley. Cannot wait to go back to this place!

Stopped in for breakfast on a relatively slow day, ordered a coffee and avacado toast. Sat there for 20 minutes, nearly finished my coffee, waiting for my toast. Finally got up and asked how long it would be only to find out they hadnt even started it yet because the printer was broken. Ended up walking out because I didnt have the time to wait.The ktichen is maybe 10 feet from the register, why not just tell the kitchen what people ordered?

Tasty lava salted caramel latte! Asked for almond milk and was warned the caramel had dairy in it. Excellent service.

Amazing place. Lovely ambience with a serene riverside view. Upon reaching the actual location it seemed like its a whole new world we are in. Even the drive leading to the coffee house was one of a kind i have never seen in Appleton. The food was good with a good number of vegetarian options, although a lot more should be added as far the flavors and texture of the dish is concerned. Prices were affordable. Coffee was pretty amazing for its presentation. I went with my husband and would love to visit this place more often during summer times

The food was good! I got the Avacado Toast with a Mango Peanut Butter Smoothie!! Would definitely go again cause they have awesome views too. Right on the water!!

Chic coffeehouse that somehow maintains a chill vibe. Its difficult to find places like this in the Valley, so I was happy to experience it! Right on the water, plenty of windows to enjoy the scenery. Unique menu with plenty of food and beverage options. The WiFi was strong and consistent. I would absolutely return.

It was very clean. The service was efficient and prompt. The barista was very friendly, gave excellent customer service. The coffee was great! The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite coffee shops In the valley. Staff has always been kind and speedy at getting orders out. Drinks taste amazing and their pastries are always fantastic. Havent had one i havent liked yet.

Very cute cafe but usually very busy. The latte art is amazing and the lavender lattes are the best🙌 sometimes its impossible to find seats which is the only down side.

Nice place to hang out and have a drink and a snack, its right by the water, we will be back.

I had the opportunity to visit Tempest last year as I am a long drive away and had a wonderful time with my wife and kids! The service was great and the atmosphere was very beautiful and accommodating for my children! I recently had privilege of meeting the family who owns Tempest outside of the coffee shop and MAN OH MAN can you see why the Coffee Shop is as inviting as it is! If you are looking for an excellent espresso, coffee, or atmosphere, this is the place to be! This business has tight nit family roots and they treat there customers the same!

Really, really like going here! I love the variety of drinks, plus the employees are super helpful. While the items are a little more expensive than others in the area, it totally makes sense that they need to compensate for the location (which is phenomenal), plus their syrups are made in-house according to my knowledge. Definitely plan on continuing to stop by!

The food is always excellent and very tasty. The options are limited, but have vegetarian and vegan menu choices. The patio is great in the warmer months and the inside has cozy and traditional seating. They have treats for animals for purchase and allow pets on the patio as well. Great place for food and a casual coffee.

Think this is a college place lol. Lots of college kids, right by the water. Nice view. Food is good but limited. Lots of good quality teas. Maple waffle is good. Baristas are nice. Fun baked goods.

Excellent coffee shop, off the beaten path, down by the river (but not in a van).Barista was extremely knowledgeable and patient, answering the many questions I had about their broad selection of house formulated espresso drinks. Nearly all of their syrups are made in house and they are happy to customize it however you want. Sadly Ive had too many coffees since I visited and cant remember what I had exactly but I remember it being quite good and novel.Interior decor is very clean and modem. Lots of natural light and fun chairs/stools/etc. They have a small kids play area like a living room and an outdoor patio that looked inviting.Bring your reusable mug, get your coffee to go and enjoy the trail along the river and the informative signs that talk about the nearby small hydro power station

My favorite coffee shop in Appleton, much trendier than I am, but very comfortable, knowledgeable staff, very high quality coffee and presentation.I started visiting Tempest as just another coffee shop to work at, and wasn’t much into coffee at all, but since returning so many times, I’ve discovered certain coffees that I like and have a taste for what’s a properly done latte or espresso now. From Keurig to budding coffee snob in only a year!It is a little confusing to get to on your first visit, just walk down to the riverfront and look for the big “tempest” sign.

I’m so glad I found this beautiful coffeeshop in Appleton. There is nice art on the walls, or you can sit outside and enjoy some nature on the Fox River.I managed to snag the last slice of the bacon, tomato, and cheddar quiche, and while the crust was a little too salty for me, it was served with a beautiful and delicious salad. I also had a chai latte and a wonderful snickerdoodle.

Lovely industrial-chic coffee house with a good vegan bakery, though said bakery sells out quickly, so by afternoon, its mostly empty. The actual entrance is also hard to find, but arguably worth it!

Loved the salted caramel latte! Want to go back when the boardwalk is open and its warmer out to enjoy the eagles and river!

The place has in general a good vibe, and my cortado was good. However the Chai was not good at all. Also, there was a fly in the window of the pastries. We went to sit on a table in the back, the only one left and had a sign on it that it had not been sanitized yet. We asked for someone to clean it but nobody ever came. While sitting I lifted my head and noticed that the metal white grill covering the heater were extremely dirty with stuff blowing out. Also the table was against the wall in between the bathroom doors. It could have been moved in a better place if only the cushions of the outdoor furniture were not taking over the back. They were on the floor and grossed me out too.

The skilled baristas manually make your coffee in front of you using the tools of the coffee trade... scales, Hario V60, and more.As you walk in, their Yama cold brew towers are both beautiful and functional. Guarantee youll get the best coffee in Appleton here....not to mention the scenic location on the river.

I think I’m in love with this place. I’m currently tasting every thing on the menu and it’s so good. Also Savannah might be my fav barista in the world.... and last year I lived in Europe and had some damn good coffee!

Love the space. Lots of natural light. Perfect for sipping a coffee and talking with a friend. They serve spyhouse coffee and offer a variety of food options. We had the coffee cake and it was so good!! My husband ordered a double espresso and it was delicious. I had a 16oz pourover of Guatemala and it was very flavorful. Will be back if ever in Appleton again.
