Ive been into some jenky Midas in the past, but this is definitely not one of them. The interior was nice and clean, the location was great and the service was excellent. John was great to deal with, he laid out all options, answered any questions and was professional. Would recommend and will be back! Glad I gave them a shot

This Midas location is a true gem. Easy location next to the bus transit in Apple valley Minnesota. Came here for a vehicle inspection. The front office technician was friendly and gave me every detail of the inspection. Store was clean and inviting. They offered free soda for waiting customers. Mechanics were clean and well groomed. I was truly impressed. I also inquired about new tires. They have some deal where you buy 3 get 1 free. The quality of the brand they carry are top quality. Will definitely purchase them here at the end of the month.

Midas is a place that I would highly recommend. They provide top notch service at a reasonable price. Theyre always available to provide whatever service I need, even when I need it scheduled last minute. They are fantastic!

I can’t thank Midas in Apple Valley enough for being so flexible, honest, and understanding. I called them yesterday after my muffler system rusted off and was dragging on the pavement (how embarrassing). They got me in the next day! John took such great care of me. He honored a lifetime warranty replacement, even though I lost my paperwork. He told me I had leak elsewhere on my car, but advised that I wait to get it fixed, as I am in the process of looking for a new car . He could have told me I needed it done, and I would have paid for it, but he was honest with me. I am so thankful to John and the staff at Midas. Their kindness, professionalism, and honesty earned them a costumer for life. I’d highly recommend Midas in Apple Valley to anyone!

Recently went in for a suspension diagnostic at Midas in Apple valley since I had a noise coming from my suspension. They told me that i had whole list of things that were bad and wrong with my Jeep that was going to cost close to $3,000 dollars to repair.So i went to a different shop today, a nice family owned one and all that they had to do was tighten 1 bolt and the noise is completely gone and fixed!. They are crooks and I won’t be returning to midas ever again.

Very respectable crew here. They were 1 hot backed up but you can just tell they care more about the customer than anything. Overheard one customer asking about tire rotations and I think Todd asked where they got the tires from. They responded with discount tires. Todd proceeded to tell them that discount tires rotates for free if purchased from them. Proceeded to give the customer the price of labor anyway in case the customer would rather have it done right then. A+ services.

I had an oil change and headlight changed in AV. I am impressed with the customer service of Todd and workmanship of the mechanics. Best of all I feel Midas is a morally good company with ethical employees because of the detail of service for my car and how I am treated. At the same time making sure the customers feel safe and comfortable in a clean environment. A model for hope.

John and the guys did an amazing job getting my brakes replaced. Transparency in process and cost led the way. Initially I called in asking for a quote on front brake pads and rotors, and John ran my plate to make sure I was getting not only good parts, but the RIGHT ones for my vehicle. He said he wouldnt be able to sell me anything without inspecting the vehicle first. I brought my vehicle in and within an hour, it was looked at, I was texted a link to the report (including pictures) of a full vehicle inspection, followed by a call from John letting me know exactly what needed to be done. All the work was completed within three and a half hours, with updates along the way, and my Jeep drives as good as new. Thank you gentlemen!

Make sure you pay attention and that they do all of the things that theyre supposed to like rotate your tires put air in them that kind of stuff

I was only in for an inspection but they delivered as promised - in a timely fashion and efficiently. I stopped in a little late for my appointment - they told me it would be 45 minutes before they got me in - I asked if I could run an errand and did - got back 40 minutes later - they got me in immediately and delivered the inspected car within 15 minutes. It was a great experience and I can strongly recommend this shop. Great job guys!

Long story short, my car hasnt loved the -50 degree weather weve gotten this past winter. I had to go to another repair shop down the road to have my power steering fixed. I normally go to Midas, but they were booked full. The other place fixed the power steering, but then my engine started sputtering and losing power. This time I had the gents at Midas look at it. Turns out, the other place got some water in the engine during their repairs. The nice folks at Midas didnt charge a dime to resolve this issue.A couple days later, it sounded like the tire was going to fall off my car. Back to the Midas I go. Turns out, the other place didnt torque on one of the tires correctly. Again, Midas fixed it, at no charge. Ive had excellent service at both this Midas and the one in Eden Prairie and I highly recommend both.

I have brought in several of my vehicles to this Midas and have always had great customer service, honest feedback and excellent work done every time. DJ is usually the individual I speak with and work out all the details and besides the friendly and excellent representation he displays as a Midas employee, he has always given me a straight and fair price on all the work, parts and final total. In regards to getting the work done in a timely manner I have absolutely no complaints. Working in the tire industry for a short time I understand that estimated car repair time can be tricky and so I can truly say that this Midas has always been able to get my repairs done in a very timely manner, usually whats stated when they give me the details in the first place. Really good shop. I trust these guys for sure. I had what I thought was a small issue that couldve been much worse. They confirmed a thought I had and was able to get the work done in a timely manner even before the holidays.

I had to quickly find a close auto shop when my car began acting up. The staff at Midas were very friendly and helpful. They got my car in the very next day, were transparent and upfront about costs, and didnt pressure me into any other unnecessary repairs. They have earned another loyal customer!

Super kind staff. I came over to Midas after being rudely treated at Jiffy Lube. I easily scheduled an appointment standing there for two days out. They took a coupon offered online and didnt lower their respect for me when I asked questions about the coupon. Great price for a full synthetic oil change. I recommend Midas for an oil change.

My wife and I have been taking vehicles to this shop for over 20 years. Why... because of excellent service, great pricing, but most of all - trust. We trust the consistency of this shop in taking excellent care of our cars, and for standing behind their work, which they always have. Recently, we had a minor issue with persistent low pressure warnings on tires we had purchased from them this past summer. Two tires were consistently losing pressure. Midas remedied the situation on both tires at no charge. A small thing, but this is who they are. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff. They genuinely seem to want to help the customer fix their car without upselling or over selling their service. Only complaint is it took about 30 minutes to check out when I came back to pick up my car. I will be going back!

I had a drivers window that had come off the track and fallen into the door. Midas was able to look at it the next day. While a new window was not available. The technician was able to secure the window in the closed position so the vehicle was usable. Great customer service during a busy time.

Shawn is by far the best car mechanic Ive ever come across. He can easily diagnose the problem and repair it. He is also excellent with Volkswagen automobiles (some mechanics cant work with these). I highly recommend Midas (especially Shawn).

Ive been to other Midas that were not great so I was nervous about going to this one. But it was amazing!!! The greatest customer service Ive ever had in my long line of bad luck with my cars.The first time I had problems with my power steering, they figured out it was just air bubbles caused by the cold. They worked efficient and fast.So I went back when my car had been dead in the morning and needed a jump. It turned out nothing was wrong. I probably left a light on. But while they checked the battery and alternator they noticed cracks in my wiper fluid pump (which had stopped working weeks earlier and I made do without) and fixed it free of charge.I wrote a lot if you skipped to the end all I can say is use this place. In my experience youll leave way happier than you though possible when having car problems.

Went there due to power steering issues. They were so helpful in what needed to be done with my car and the best solution. They never pressured me to get things done to my car that I didnt ask for. They gave me so much valuable information and helped me understand what needed to be done before they did anything. Really such a good place to take your car to get repairs done. Staff is so friendly and nice. Will definitely return to this Midas if there is any other issues with my car!

Other shops told me I had to replace the entire exhaust system on my car for one muffler that was rusting. The other muffler was fine and the rest of the system not an issue. I called over to Midas, they fit me in and within less than an hour I had a new correctly fit muffler welded on. Probably saved me at least $900 parts and labor at another shop. Thanks guys for taking care of me with professionalism and speedy service.

Got a oil change done last month, a month later & less then 1,000 driven my change engine oil soon light pops on...

The manager here, Keith, is incredibly helpful, and when your paying the money it takes to fix your car, thats important. Hes kind, and he works hard for people. Everybody knows that guy from the car shop whos just trying to milk your wallet. This is not one of those guys. Great manager, great maintenance, and great coffee. Caribou coffee at an auto shop. Praise God.

Made an appointment because the screws holding the license plate to the car were rusted through and I had to get them off to switch plates. Not even a hand held electric drill could get them off! But they were able to get the screws out easily using their automotive air drill. Not only did they get me in early (15 mins before appointment time) but they also didnt charge me a dime. Great service!

Made an appointment and the guys were able to resolve an exhaust issue I had for some time. They tweaked it and resolved a bad rattling and banging sound because the aftermarket system was much larger and I had less room. The guys were able to position it just right and it worked perfect! I just came from here was told my car was unsafe but just a week ago I got it looked at and the things that said were danger in fact were not made me feel like my car was unsafe to drive when in fact not true got in front. Try to have you fix things not needed I will be reported to better business Bureau

Great price for an oil change, fast service. I didnt have an appointment scheduled(they lost me in the system) but got me in at the same time I wanted. I had a coupon for an oil change, they rotated my tires and my car was done faster than their estimated time. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, offered coffee in the spacious lobby with the tv. everything looked clean, no grease hands. I will be back with printing the coupons off the Midas website!

My clutch went out on my 2011 VW Jetta! These guys were amazing. I originally took my car to honest 1. They tried to tell me it would be at least 2500 to repair. I called Midas and they quoted me 1500. I had my car towed to their shop. All in all they put me in a Loaner car and were able to get me out the door after a price of 825.00! No BS no issues and it was amazing. The staff was very friendly I feel confident that as long as I live in the metro this will be my new shop.

My husband and I are new to the area. We both commute to work (him to Rochester and myself to Minneapolis) so it is really important to have two functioning vehicles. I needed to replace the brakes in my car; however given my work schedule I could not get my car into a mechanic until 5 pm. I was not sure how I would be able to manage because a repair like this typically takes a few hours. Tony and Ross worked with me and even stayed late to replace my brakes so that I was not without a car to get to work or having to drive an unsafe vehicle until I could come in on a Saturday. I am so incredibly thankful for the guys at Midas for going above and beyond to accommodate my schedule and for their stellar customer service.

Went to go get oil change. I was skeptical from the start but since I was in no hurry I went because I had been coming to this Midas for 10 years. Messed with TPM system. Had to go back still having problems. Will not go back. They also mad a women cry after over saling her services. They up sale you on stuff you dont need. Avoid this place.

Had a small exhaust issue and they were able to repair it for me. Exhaust was damaged during shipping brought it to them for ideas and they were able to repair the issue for me... Great customer service and focus.

So many positive reviews....and these guys simply cannot be trusted. I called for pricing on an oil change, tire rotation, and wheel balance on 4 tires. I was given a price that I found reasonable and let them know Id be in shortly to have the work completed. I drove 30 minutes one way to the store, taking time out of an already busy day. (Mind you, this location was out of the way from closer auto repair locations) The man at the front desk took down my information and I was about to leave when I decided to confirm the pricing I had been given through the phone. I was shocked, the price was 50% higher than what I had been quoted a mere 40 minutes prior! (It looks like he was trying to double charge me for the labor for tire rotation and then a separate balance) The gentleman was unwilling to honor the word of his employee and not willing to compensate. This is an unacceptable business practice and not how a business should operate. If this dishonesty is done for very minor car maintenance, I cannot imagine the amount of deceitful practices for larger repairs. I send a stern warning to any future patron, look elsewhere when seeking an honest auto repair/maintenance service.

Got a quote for the exhaust after the cat at over $800 I asked for a quote from after the manifold and it cost more than the car was worth. $1500. I replaced the down pipe and cat for $200

Tried to upsell me a more expensive oil... Im already using full synthetic oil... but they claim they dont have any in stock but for more money I can get ultrasynthetic oil! Really guys? Youre an oilchange service and you dont have synthetic oil but you can charge me more for some other nonsense... a scam service! Ill never bring my truck here again.

After having some brake trouble on our 2012 Town and Country, we drove it up from Lakeville to have it checked out. This was the first time Id ever considered going to a Midas. I didnt really have an opinion one way or the other.They called back later that day and told us our rear driver side caliper was completely seized up and would need replacing (Along with the rear rotors and brake pads.) to the tune of 980 dollars. For 1200 theyd fix that and do the required work on the front brakes too. I asked if there was anything they could do to save the caliper like replacing the pins or rebuilding it and was told that the piston was completely seized up and there was nothing to be done other than installing a new one.Their quote seemed pretty high to me after having looked at the average cost of that repair for our vehicle online, so we decided to get a second opinion.The place we called stated for that same repair (minus the front brake option) would run 630 dollars. Obviously we decided to save the 350 dollars.After driving the van to the place we got the second opinion from, we received a call from them saying that not only do we NOT need a new caliper, but the work on the back driver caliper with front and rear brakes could be done for 700 dollars. They said the piston was fine, and that it was only immobile because of an accumulation of rust and it could be fixed with some new hardware and a run through the bead blaster.The guys that took a look at it at Midas either flat out lied and said we needed a new part just to milk us, or didnt know what they were doing when they took it off to diagnose it. Either way, I feel like they cant be trusted, and its not a place Id ever take any of my vehicles back to.(edit after owner response)But I specifically asked if it could be rebuilt and was told no. The answer I got wasnt yes, but we dont do that; or yes, but its better if its new because x, y, z, etc... I was flat out told no It couldnt be done. So, Im not sure how Im supposed to trust things I get told at Midas.And the savings were worth more than the guarantee offered because Id rather pay someone I trust to do the work, than have the work (**Most vehicles. See manager for limited guarantee terms.) covered (maybe) somewhere I dont trust.
