Their customer service is atrocious. They dont give reminder calls until after your pawned item is ready to be put on the floor. They then ask if you want to take it off the floor and xharge you for that as well. They have done this to me two times already. Their manage needs work.

My mother has a low income and takes care of my adult brother and his son without any government support. Instead of telling me she needed help to pay an unexpectedly high water bill, and out of desperation, she sent my brother to pawn my deceased grandmothers necklace.On May 13, 2021, Cash America Apopka paid $350 for the necklace. $437.50 was to be repaid by June 12 to release the necklace. By the time I realized what was happening and rescued my mother/brother from this horrible situation on August 31, the amount payable for the necklace was just over $1,100. Please see the scans I have uploaded.As I understand it, in Florida, to protect vulnerable people like my mother, pawnbrokers are not supposed to charge more than 25% per month in interest and fees. But, they can apparently repawn the item to you under a new loan.This is where it gets murky. My mother/brother tell me that they extended the loan twice by paying a relatively small amount for the privilege. The staff at Cash America told me that my brother (who hasnt worked in years) somehow scraped together enough money to get the necklace out of pawn. Then, he repawned the necklace for $700. Then, three minutes later, without leaving the store, he repawned it again for $850. My brother insists he never received anything but the original $350.I dont know exactly what happened here. The only information I have is the documentation I uploaded and what my family and Cash America Apopka tell me. Whatever happened, the situation is sickening to me. Please do not open the doors for something like this to happen to you.As hard as it was to cough up the $1,100 to save my grandmothers necklace from this vile business (in my opinion), it was great consolation to know that I had the wherewithal to keep such an important memento of my granny out of the hands of Jim and his staff. I am keeping a much closer watch on my mothers wellbeing now.

I use to think that pawnshops helped people out but after my visit today and knowing a couple of people that use it like a bank. The guy offers me 10 bucks for a 700$ stand up paddle board and Im like yall only cater to drug addicts here? His answer. We know they wont be back and we gain merchandise. Smart. I thought pawn shops helped people but from an honest person this one should be burnt down. I realize its the addict and all their doing but this place knows what theyre doing. Those are my friends yall are enabling to kill themselves and others. They probably need a new manager by now too cause Brians probably cooking the books

Brian is such an amazing manager! He is so professional yet compassionate, and it really makes you want to do business with him. He helped me with something I needed, and I will forever be grateful at the extra mile he took to help me! Cannot stress enough how great he is.

Unbelievable Please when I tell you don’t EVER take your Valuable items to this location I Have never in my life seen Dishonesty at its finest. So my Boss Took Her 250$ printer in on a pawn and it was brand new it was a item she got as a office warming. And she pawn it went into pick up and it was 75$ to get out on walking to the car the paper tray fell out onto the grown which clear as day on the Video show that my helper said the tray fell out also I turned around when she told me it fell apart after placing the printer on the trunk and examining the item I notice on the back of the tray the springs was missing on the front of the tray the latch was broken off and another pice on the front end was broken as well . Now instead of the manger telling me he was sorry for the damage towards my property he accused my helper of “ dropping the printer on the grown “. After him looking me in my face and Blatantly cold heartedly Lying to my face and reviewing the camera and it shows that the tray fell out the printer he proceeded to tell me to call the company in which I Purchase the printer from and “lie” to them and tell them I brought a Defective printer. I can’t Stomach the amount of dishonesty and lies him and his staff told today just to what ? Keep fromReplacing my printer ?! The depth people will go . It’s really sad and Quite frankly yeah just low and sad that a simple “ I’m sorry “ could go along way but to lie on someone then proceed to tell more lies and say to call the manufacture and lie just is plan out wrong. I said all this to say never Ever go to this pawn shop just low down right nasty people and customer service instead of fixing the issue or resolving the issue why lie God knows it was Horrible out right just sad . The wits ends people will go.! I think I seen it all and heard it all and I could not believe my ears and I just could not even process the lies he was running out his mouth with just sad

Gave a bad review about another CA today so I’d thought I’d balance it out. This store was great. I was greeted and helped immediately. Staff were busy, but worked diligently to help everyone out. It shows because they don’t have nearly the stock the other store I went to has, most likely because they’re selling it all. Wish they had the .357 the other store had would of bought it today.

Been there many times spent 200 dollars on my debit card a week earlyer went back in to buy a item I got discounted to 20 dollars and guess what then they need Id go my DEBIT card that I just used not even 2 weeks earlyer for 200 and no Id......

For me this is best pawn shop in the Altamonte springs Apopka Casselberry area. Needed a lawn mower because my old one broke. 4 other shops had mowers but all wouldnt start or had other issues with them. Out of the 8 shops i went to many did not even greet me upon entering. Kathy was amazing working with me telling me how 2 where in the back and would be out at 1. Was a great price and is in my garage now. Will be going back for a laptop soon.
