I have just moved to Apopka from downtown Orlando where, as an unconventional materials artist, I frequented the 2 downtown Ace Hardwares almost daily, (E. Colonial and Orange Ave) for almost 5 years. Those 2 stores, while not perfect, get 5 stars in my opinion.I gave Carters Ace in Apopka 3 visits at various days/times before writing this review. Their customer service is atrocious, actually detrimental to my projects. Their stock/inventory in the paint department is poor. The store is messy, dusty and dirty... even for a hardware store.Never again!

Everything about that store is awesome I felt like a kid in the candy store haha The employees were nice and welcoming and they knew their stuff I went in there looking for a really tiny pressure washer screws and the gentleman I didnt really know his name but he stayed there and looked through all the boxes for me just to find me two tiny screws I would definitely be shopping here from now on thanks guys

Typically I dont leave bad reviews, but this Ace Hardware is something else. I couldnt return something I purchased 2 weeks ago at ACE with a receipt because this ACE is, not affiliated with ACE Hardware.

Just called to see if they have lump coal and plaster paris. Employee didnt know what either was and said he didnt recall seeing plaster paris. You think hed check or get someone who knows the store a little better to answer my questions. But no. He didnt nothing to help and sounded like he just wanted me off the phone. Fine. Ill drive a little further to home depot and start my project with them. Only gets 2 stars because this is based off one employee and I havent even been to the store, but after that experience with that employee, I dont think Ill ever go to the store.

Sorely puzzled and disappointed by my interaction as I walked in this Ace Hardware store with my husband. The lady at the register first thing she had said to me was a company policy to remove my purse and to give it to her. I was shocked about this interaction. As I looked around the store a lady had her purse and was pleasantly shopping around in the store. If this is a company policy. Well it needs to be fair a cross the board. Also everyone is solely responsible for their belongings. How and why would I hold someone else responsible for my belongings.

Ace is the place for hard to find hardware. Special nuts and bolts and washers.

Covid 19 alert. If you are immune compromised do NOT go here!!!. The clerk was wearing her mask hanging from one ear and bragging about it to another maskless customer. Employees dont even try to social distance and actually laughed at a senior person person for wearing a mask.

I been going to this Ace Hardware for at least 25years and today I had a not so friendly experience. So now I have to think about going to this location for a while. BEWARE they may try to rip you off!

Got up early saturday and went to fill my propane tanks. Was not greeted in a pleasant manner by the heavy set young lady at the counter! I told her I wanted tanks filled by volume. She didnt get it and kept asking me tank size in a rude tone. I was going to buy some tools and such and decided I will take my business elsewhere. This lady needs to get a job in Alaska or Siberia far away from paying customers. Customer service was never that good there and now has hit a all time low in my book.

Manager had no clue how to find a chainsaw chain. Even though I told him exactly what number I wanted, he refused to get it because he thought he needed the hole saw to tell what chain it required. Finally he went in back and asked one of the guys back there, who pulled out the number I had asked for. I dont expect everyone to have all that knowledge,, but at least have some sense of respect for your customers. There was zero

Walked in with a picture of a product that I was looking for. They had me set up and with an additional $5 purchase I got an extra 6 months warranty on my purchase. Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Even got my purchase registered for warranty in the store. This place is really good.

Went to this store for the very first time today and lets just say, unless an emergent situation arises, I will not be returning. The staff there was not pleasant. Im not hardware savvy and the lady couldnt get rid of me fast enough. All I actually wanted was a latter to change the batteries on my smoke detectors...Oh well....to Walmart I guess I will go where at least I can get some decent service....

I had been using Ace to purchase Chlorine for my pool, but when I bought a Stihl edger from trail saw mower, I had so many problems with it, and returned to to the other store. I went to Ace, and was told there was a recall on the carburetors on that Stih model. I purchased my edger from Ace, and I have not had a single problem with it. Ace treated me very fairly and showed me they want my business. The other company told me I was too dumb to operate a Stihl edger! Ill never go back to trail saw mower, but Ace has a customer for life!

I visited the apopka ace hardware and was racially profiled. Purchased a door lock, Walked out and was searched by two cops. Apparently I took a ten dollar flashlight but suddenly after I was searched that flashlight was never taken at all. Ace hardware has permanently lost my business. There’s better alternatives with better prices minus a police search.

I absolutely love the Apopka Ace hardware!! They always have what I need and are super friendly! And if the dont have it they can order it or get it from another store! Definitely recommend going there, plus their propane prices are awesome 12.99 a tank

Folks, do yourself a favor and get a clue. The small Ace chain is nice because they dont rip you off like the big chains. For example I think Ace just moved their price of propane to 10 or 12$ a tank. They give you a full tank too. Unlike Home Depot which costs 22$ now.

Ace Hardware is a very nice store. They carry most supplies that you could ever be looking for. The help is very friendly and knowledgable about their products and plus they are reasonably priced.

Today was my last trip into the Apopka Fl. Ace Hardware Store. This time was no different from the last 4 trips in. We walked in the door and were not greeted even though we stood looking both ways trying to figure out which way to walk. We finally found the mailboxes we were looking for and there was a young man at the end of the aisle doing some kind of work. He did not ask if we needed any help but walked off. We stood and looked at the mailboxes and posts for a while then decided to leave. This very thing is what has happened on my previous trips into the store. I will not be going back.

We have been customers for over 50 years back to the Lumber Jack. Since the store has become an Ace Hardware. At first it was difficult to get used to the new management. New rules new people and like any merger it takes time to meld a new business relationship. For a long time as soon as you walked into the store you would be followed like you were going to steal something, they finally stopped that when I challenged the staff. The only other problem is that they cant seem to keep employees. Every time you get to know a staff member they are soon gone. At times the store seems to have extremely low morale. Two things that will kill your business, high turnover and low morale. Both start with management. The pace of the leader determines the speed of the team. The store is often cluttered but still easy to get what you need. They have a great selection and their prices are competitive with other hardware stores, i.e. Home Depot/Lowes.

Theyre very friendly and theres always somebody at the door waiting to take you throughout the store to help you pick up the things you need. I love it, and Im in, and out of there quick because of there expertise.

Ive been to many greater Orlando area Ace stores, and this is without question, the black sheep of them all. First, its always understaffed... Second, although its larger than many Aces, there are far more empty shelves (and sections of shelves) than there reasonably should be... Third, this is by far, the dirtiest/dustiest Ace Ive seen... Lastly, this location gets some of their products from 3rd party vendors that other Aces dont use. Meaning this place rejects coupons that other Aces happily accept, for the EXACT SAME PRODUCT!

Working a lot of cars and when I need nuts and bolts I always go there theyre very helpful knowledgeable and they usually have what I need great place and I get a lot of other stuff for the house and the pool there

Shout out to ACE Hardware in Apopka. I have been there the last 2 days to get hurricane supplies. Water, batteries, tarps, propane. They have had everything I needed. Employees have been very friendly even though they have been extremely busy.

Horrible, bought stihl chainsaw, went to cut trees, wont start.. FILLED with evidence of roaches,... i called ace, they just gave me the run around,... my suggestion is to go somewhere else

The Apopka Ace Hardware has great prices, a decent selection, and helpful staff.For most home and hardware items, I dont really feel like standing in line at Lowes or Home Depot. I go here, get in, get out, and get it fixed so that I can get about the things that I really want to do.

Went for the first time yesterday to get my propane tanks filled for a big BBQ today. When I got up 4 am and threw on my smoker, I found the tanks werent even 3/4 filled!! Now I am going to have to spend more money and head to lowes to to a tank exchange and hopefully I can do it with out interruption to the cooking process. Not to mention I stood outside for 20 mins after I paid for it, went in and reminded the gal I paid for the tanks, then waited another 10 before someone came out.

Great customer service, extremely nice staff, manager was really knowledgeable. Glad theyre just around the corner.
