The food was amazing! We asked for fresh coffee and it was given with out question, plenty of cream, but the table could use more regular sugar. The food was hot and delicious! Great service. They were busy so we didnt get seated right away but I know that little patience would pay off with good service and I was right. Im happy I waited for a seat.
Only had a slice of chocolate silk pie. If you like chocolate, then this is the pie to get. This has an amazing creamy texture rich chocolate taste. This is my most favorite pie.The waitress was very cheerful and friendly. I also purchased an apple pie to take to my relatives and that was also an excellent tasting pie.
The waitress was awesome and the food was great! Her husband who just so happens to be the cook makes an awesome burger which I praise because no soggy bun and a ton of flavor! Hes supposed to be opening up a food truck soon, Im very excited to try it so keep your eyes peeled for Next level food truck!
I used to snub the Village Inn, but its actually pretty good. The decor is very modern, the restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly.Amanda is amazing - funny, friendly, efficient.I love their pie most of all.
This place has excellent service and tasty menu. One of the best restaurant around here. The drinks and food served fast and the rates are affordable. Recommended.
Great place. The food was very good. I had hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and the potatoes was not out of a box! Restaurant is clean service was good. Go early there is usually a little wait time. Wednesday is free pie day.
Great lunch. Lemon chicken was vary tasty. The peanut butter pie was a real treat. Senior discount is always nice.
This is the second time that l was served dirty silverware. The wait staff is excellent and the food is great. What could the kitchen look like as far as being clean? They would have received a five star review from me. Whomever wraps the silverware in a napkin should be the final quality control person
Its good food, but also twice as expensive as a comparable place. Especially for breakfast. So... It should be good.
I guess Village Inns are a chain. It was a normal decent coffee shop. Typical decor, great pies, and decent food. You can have a juicy high calorie or a more healthy turkey avocado sandwich. All were good filling food but nothing spectacular or innovative. Just normal decent food at a reasonable price. But save room for the pies. Besides it appears eating options are small in Apache Junction. Someone ought to do a review on Apache Junction! That would be very interesting!!! :-)
Took Mom and brother here for breakfast on a Saturday! With the snowbirds here I knew that was a mistake, but we had a good breakfast! Food was nice and cooked well, host and waitress were great. They lost one star because they sure do like to pack is so close to one another. Did not have much room to sit or move, otherwise great place!!
The service was very good ..was seated right away . It didnt take long at all to get our food. The dinners we ordered were great ! The food was so good and well portioned . Our waitress was very friendly and served us well. I will go back there again to eat every chance I get !!! I rate it at a 5 star !!
The Village Inn was amazing. I had breakfast scrambled eggs, sausage, 4 slices of french toast and tall glass on OJ it was fantastic I thought when I first saw the plate Ill never be able to eat all that. I did every bite. The dessert menu looked incredible also but I would have to go for dessert and coffee on another trip. The young lady who served us was very attentive to us and checked several times to see if we needed anything. I will definitely be making several trips back in the up and coming months.
Very good place to eat. George was my server. He was friendly, stopped to see if I needed anything and I received my food in a reasonable time.
Every time we go there minimum 10min wait times. The staff is trying their best but take forever to clean off the tables to make them available for seating. They are under employed and the GM Donald is blaming the kitchen???? Why people are not seated. A FULL ROW of empty tables ready for seating.
Being a single mother with YOUNG children, taking them out to eat at places where well actually be sitting down inside is usually pretty painful (my kids have LOTS of energy). We came in a couple weeks ago and Bre was our server. She did an absolutely AMAZING job. I came to know that not only Bre, but the other servers as well were also mothers of young children. They, as well as the wonderful hostess frequently came over to chat with me and help keep my children entertained. They made my kids and I feel so comfortable and made dining out so enjoyable for us. FOOD WAS GREAT TOO BY THE WAY! 10/10 would definitely recommend and will 100% be returning with my crazy kids.
Very cozy, and relaxed vibe in the place. The servers are all so sweet. Our food was fresh, although I was surprised with how fast our food was brought to us.
The best restaurant you can eat. Everything was very good from breakfast to late dinner. Always was satisfied. The employees was so polite and kind. Their chef was off the chain. I recommend anyone in the Apache Junction area must go there.
Better than I expected. We had our car club stop for breakfast on a Friday morning. Everyone enjoyed there food. Service was good and almost all the food came out together. All food was hot but one order of pancakes only warm at best. Good size portions. All and all recommended.
Service was good. Food was OK but not great. They were great about replacing a couple of dinner rows that were extremely hard. The lemonade was excellent.
Clean, fast service, friendly waitress and breakfast food was good. Food didnt quite get to the great benchmark but everything else was!
Great service and the food was awesome. Id definitely recommend it! 5 stars easily.
Service was excellent. I had French Dip is was horrible. Hamburger was good. Brought pie home. Hostess/Cashier was also very helpful and nice.
Always good food and good service. Nothing special, just a decent meal. They have great pie, but we didnt indulge today.
American dinner food. Fairly typical. The pie, however, is killer! We go here often as its very near our house. Wait time and service vary widely depending on your server and if management have enough staff on for the night. Pro tip: their Grown Up Grilled Cheese and Chicken Pot Pie are always tasty choices.
Fast service great food. Except for all the eyes staring. Felt really uncomfortable I could enjoy my dinner. Seemed like nobody had ever seen a Hispanic in Apache junction before. But overall food was amazing
First time here. Was excellent. Service, and food were delicious. Very friendly. Jess, my waitress was Jess, she was great. Thank you so much. Will go again soon.
I ordered the Ultimate mac and cheese dinner. The few pieces of pasta under the overdone chicken were a wee bit creamy. Otherwise, the meal was bone dry! I asked for some creamy cheese sauce to moisten it. They said they have none. Is this a restaurant? They cant whip up something as simple as that?!? They offered for me to reorder. My husband was already enjoying his meal. I just picked at mine and packed it, Ill make a sauce for it for lunch tomorrow I guess. Very sad. We hope to never go there again!
Village Inn is a warm hug. You know youre going to get locals providing great service. I always plan on leaving room for pie but rarely have space. I always end up going back in later for pie.
Outstanding service. Good quantity and quality of food. Hit up free pie day which was a major score. Overall excellent value
Food was prepared in a timely manner and appropriate quality for the venue. Only issues were waiting to be seated while hostess/ waitress was absent ( no staff greeted us, or the customers that walked in directly behind us) and despite the hour, it was a late dinner, and nearly empty restraunt, still being seated close to a loud group of females and having to listen to their family issues, throughout our meal.
The only reason Im rating this four stars instead of five is because there have been a couple of instances where my family and I went to eat here that we werent impressed. The first time we had to deal with hair in our food and the second, the dishes we were given, were noticeably dirty. Aside from those two instances, every other time weve patronized this restaurant, weve enjoyed both the good food, and the quick & kind service.
Great staff courteous, polite. From hostess to my server Sierra things were right in every category. I dont give many 5 stars thus maybe my second or third one.
We had the fish fry and the fish was good, and waitress was pleasant and quick to get us our meals, only complaint was the tartar sauce. Way to much dill or something. We enjoyed the tartar sauce they had about a year or so ago.
Nothing like feeling disrespected on VETERANS DAY at the Village InnServer thanked me for my service and told me my breakfast was free. I hadnt come in for a free breakfast but was thankful that they were honoring vets.Village Inn restaurants will raise funds for the Folded Flag Foundation and are looking for a $5.00 donation which I was happy to donate to.When I went to pay I was charged for my meal when I asked about the fact that I was told my part of the meal was supposedly free the cashier was confuse and started to give me guff about it. I stepped away told the manager that he had just disrespected a veteran and she really didnt have anything to say and Carole and I left.So thank you Village Inn for your disrespect.11/11/2019
Staff was friendly and food was ok, service was slow. Waiter didnt come back for refills and they forgot the dessert that was ordered from one person at our table. Dropped the bill off without checking if we wanted anything else.
Host and hostess were teenagers irritated with each other. Airconditing on in January. Long wait for food. The all you can eat fish was HEAVILY battered and greasy. Excellent waitress. We left a good tip because of her. I wish I knew her name. It was last Friday a few minutes before fish special. The bathroom was dirty! The whole restaurant needs remodeled!needs remodeler
2019 Usually have a great experience. Theres a newer waitress, Kodi, who is nice but obnoxiously LOUD. Heard her saying she speaks Spanish to keep brushed up on it. She goes in back YELLING in Spanish and theyre answering back,, in English! She needs to be quiet. I heard customers complaining to one another not everyone wants to hear this. Shes like this every time we come in now!
Delicious breakfast included ham, sausage and bacon! The sausage patties were really good! Food was good and warm. People were friendly.
1st time we went, we didnt get our drinks for 20 minutes. Gave the benefit of the doubt and returned today. Big mistake. Maybe 5 people in the restaurant and still waited for drinks. Then we got our food. It was cold. Bacon undercooked, sausage undercooked, eggs cold. My wifes oatmeal was cold. Horrible service and I never write reviews because I used to work in the restaurant business but this place needs to make some changes. Will not be going back. 1 star because I had to.
A pretty good spot to take the family. 1 Suggestion: morning crew is far more consistent, night crew is sub par
Server was great but the prices were expensive for all meals, water tasted horrible and no bottled water even available for us to buy. The food was OK but not worth the price even with the free pie (which was the only thing any of us 4 liked) for it being a Wednesday. Unlikely we ever go back to any village inn ever Id rather go to golden corral where the food is great and cheaper thank you
Our lunch was quick and delious. The service as usual was above par. We just moved here a year ago and Village Inn is one of our all time favorite spots in the valley. Keep up the good work. By the way the Wednesday free slice of pie was delious! Thank you.
The food is great, the service is great. Not long wait times, even on Sundays. It is I and my wifes favorite place to go now more than IHOP and Dennys.
One of the best places to eat in the Apache Junction area.Service is great 90% of the time.Food is almost always hot.As long as they can maintain th prices through the minimum wage increase. Then I can still see myself coming here. Its extremely busy during snow bird season. But thats how everything is out here during our enjoyable months here.
The food, atmosphere and staff were wonderful. Even though it was really busy we didnt have to wait long to be seated and the waitress was extremely nice. The food was delicious
The booth material was very dirty and almost black in color. Food was good but pies were great. No outside garbage container.
Was relatively quick seating. I had an omelette with pancakes and hash browns. Tasty. Not high brow at all, friendly staff and wait staff.
This trip was bad... the Crepes were rubbery. Our BLT had chewy undercooked bacon. And as we were like the only people in there at the time they forgot our eggs. Offered us pie, but declined. Usually we have a 5 star visit but Sundays was a poor visit.
Village inn is a great place to grab breakfast anytime of the day. Everything Ive ordered has been good, they have free internet and the prices are not too bad. (Could be a little lower) Oh ya, I almost forgot. Free pie Wednesday! Awesome!
Love the Happy Hour meals: smaller portions of a few menu options, with the option of a slice of pie! Served until 6pm, but not sure which days. Service has always been good. Some might know/remember this place as Bakers Square (at least in Illinois). Tons of options, something for most everyone.
Good place. I was there for breakfast. Fast, friendly service. The pies look good too.
We go here a lot. You can receive some good coupons if your on their mailing list. They also have days where kids eat free and Wednesday is free pie day. You get a free slice of pie with your meal. Good menu with breakfast all day!
Worse village inn Ive been in. Slow, dirty, poorly cooked food. Didnt even wait around for pie. I cant recommend this for anyone.
Good food, good price, excellent service. The seasonal pickle fries are pretty good.
Horrible Service! Stood at the cash register for more than 5 minutes while several employees walked right past me without a single glance my direction or even a someone will be with you in a minute.... Once someone finally came to the register I ordered a pie, paid for it and the girl just looked at me. I asked Can I have my pie? and she told me to step aside and she would take care of the customer behind me and then get it for me. I told her no, Ive paid for it and I have been standing here longer than they have please give me what Ive paid for so I can go. I was then given the look like she wanted to tell me where to go. Sarcastically I told her Great Service, Ill be back again soon! Um, hell no I wont! Every time I come to this location the service is painfully slow, and it takes you 10 minutes to pay your bill because there isnt usually anyone at the register. Ill drive to the Signal Butte location where the service is stellar and everyone smiles.
Always a great place for a good meal at a reasonable price. And the Key Lime pies are legend. All the pies are good but that one is especially good.
Went there for breakfast on a tuesday morning. I didnt mind the wait to get a table, I did mind when we got seated and the table across from us placed and recieved their food order before we even got our drink order taken, we also placed our food order since we had more than enough time to look at the menu. In the time we waited for our food, 2 more tables were seated and recieved not only their drinks, but their food before us. We got up to leave and talked to the manager, cant remember her name but she looked very young (looked no older than 20) with really long fake finger nails, she pretty much blamed everything on our winter visitors and looked as if she could care less. If we feel like having VI in the future, well be going to a different location. Our server was very friendly, when she showed up to our table, thats the only reason for the 1 star
Very good food and service here. Their crepes and iced coffee is way better than some other restaurants nearby. Our waitress was awesome tok
For it being 5:30 in the morning when I was there the wait staff was very polite and patient with me just as I would expect it
I would compare the Village Inn to something like a Cracker Barrel, S&S Cafeteria or Lizards Thicket. Different vibe, but definitely good home cooking/country cooking. Delicious food, excellent service and very reasonable prices.
Had a great lunch. Ordered the egg substitute omelet with fruit & yogurt. The omelet was awesome, fluffy and cooked perfect. My waitress, Shelley, was super friendly and gave excellent service. Thanks!!
Food was great even at midnight. It couldve been cleaner since it wasnt busy at all. The price for 2 to eat breakfast was kinda high but food was delicious.
It was a good time with my hubby and 2 close friends. Food was decent but the service wasnt so great. The waitress didnt bring syrup for the French toast, we had to ask another waitress for syrup and a piece of pie I had ordered. Our waitress finally came back and took my friends French toast and microwaved it... BOO! Then brought the syrup and my cherry pie, that definitely wasnt worth $3.89.The best thing about that experience was that we were celebrating my gorgeous husbands birthday, and being there with Mike and Jenn, our friends that we call family. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because of the reason we were there.
Always good food. Excellent service. Not fancy but fine home cooking type food.
Good choices for breakfast. Great wait staff, attentive and helpful.
On Veterans day 2018 my server was exceptional. I told her I was unable to tip her an offered her an all day pass at the Multigeneration Center here in Apache Junction, Arizona. She accepted it graciously.
Our waitress Tracy, was GREAT!! fast friendly service and good food. its the off season so it wasnt busy. Overall I highly recommend it.
Went to buy a pie for my girlfriends grandmothers birthday, when the hostess retrieved the pie to prep for sale she handled it with her bare hands. This is unacceptable.
Fast service, big fluffy pancakes. Great place.
Went today with family. Was not busy at all. Asked for a table. Was told to wait which is fine but not how long. After going to the restroom and noticing there were several tables open i asked to speak with a manager. Didnt get to talk to one and the hostess said they didnt have a server in that section and shed have one of the other tables cleaned off that was empty when we arrived but had dishes on it. We left. If youre not busy and tables open and not cleaned, at least give a time frame. Wont be going back.
Good Mexican foodThe green chili burro or chimichangas is delicious
Its a 50/50, sometimes good sometimes poor service. This time I came it was a bit busy because of free pie Wednesday. No refills drinks, no one to come over and ask if wanted refills or how we were doing. Everyone getting served and addressed around me. People came in after me and left before me. Took about 20mins before I could get the check and leave after I finished the meal. The bus boy came by to pick up my plate before the waitress gave the check.
I took my kids to Kids Eat Free Monday around 6:45pm. My waitress was good, but it seemed as if the waitresses did more gossipping than working. Our food was average. My sons bacon was overcooked and when the waitress went back for new bacon, she loudly had to explain to make sure the bacon wasnt raw, but also not burnt. They had TVs playing Food Network, but the kitchen was blasting hip hop. It just seemed as if management was very lax in how they operated.
Very friendly, good food, always come back when in town
We were told we would have to wait to be seated, no big deal it seems to be the norm here. But as I was sitting there I counted six empty booths so I asked why I was waiting. The answer so the wait staff can get caught up with orders isn’t a satisfactory one. I can sit and wait at a table a lot more comfortably then in the entrance way. I won’t be back
The service was great. The staff is very friendly... Shelly and Cindy are very polite and attentive, my glass was never close to empty! Good food, fast service!
Food was good, waitress had long flyaway hair and carried food try too close to her head. She was told by staff how to carry the tray and said No one is going to tell me how to carry a tray.
Good food, great wait staff. Sometimes do not have all sections open so have 15 + minute waiting for table. Manager needs to be told more than once on how customers feel about things before responding.
Food was excellent. Waitress and hostess were super friendly. Always loved Village Inn
Everyone is super friendly, I ordered the grown up grilled cheese and tomato soup. I can complain about anything. It was so good.
This place is an absolute joke when it comes to ordering pies before the Holiday. They tell you that you have to make a reservation, which I did. Now after calling them over 30 times with a busy tone and being on hold for 10 minutes, they try to say they cant find my reservation... Which I have the email confirmation for!!! I will never use this Village Inn again. They wasted my time. Save the hassle and go to the one on Signal Butte. Really wish I could give them a negative star.
Love their breakfast items. Great waffles and pancakes. They have new fancy omelette options. I tried the veggie one with that is topped with hollandaise sauce. Pretty good. See photos.
Friendly staff, order is cooked correctly and restaurant was clean.
Reliably quality food at a low price.
Shannon was amazing as our server. Food is great. Everyone will love it here. Smiles to all
Great as usual. Very friendly staff. Good food.
Dont build you own omelette...they charged me $1.00 to add onions. Food is average. Service is usually very good.
Not much different than a Dennys, good service, decent price.
Love going here. Great Service
There was a 30min wait and this wasnt even their rush hour. Tons of snowbirds. Food came quick but we were forgotten so it took forever to get a check. If your not a regular then your not gonna get treated very well.
It was free slice of pie Wed. I ordered a Cobb salad and there was bad lettuce and had wilted and discolored brown pieces of lettuce, it just wasnt very good. Disappointed that they couldnt even get decent or even pretty lettuce. Service was eh ok, couldve been better. I did however; thoroughly enjoy hanging out with my awesome & great dear friends Bud Patrick & his son Brian.
Great breakfast. Very attentive hostess. Good food. Would suggest coming here again.
Loved the Chicken,Artichokes and Spinch. Husband not happy about running out of math potatoes. Service was great
