I dont know what happened to the sandwich deli menu at safeway. It use to be very inclusive accommodating all kinds of peoples choices. They had vegetarian sandwiches, sandwiches without pork, more healthy options. Now ALL sandwiches have pork or pork derivatives...and kiss good buy to the vegetarian options...really disappointing!

Went to this Safeway last night with hubby. Ide like to say this is a really awesome store! The variety of food, home run inn pizzas, with this interesting atmosphere had positive energy with happy shoppers, robust staff help up front and a nice security guard. The ladies at the self checkout were patient and quite helpful to us we havent seen this kind of customer service for some time! Thank you for making our shopping experience pleasant and the many foods with multiple long isles were great! Your plastic bags are strong too thanks again 😊👍

Was looking for a small or regular can of sweet potatoes or Yams and they only had large cans. Next time i will fix my yams homemade.

Absolutely my new GO TO! Tired of Starbucks? Try Dutch Brothers! I cant believe I used the excuse of the line of cars is always too long from checking them out! The lines move quickly, they have 2 employees outside taking your order from your vehicle, you can pay right there (card only), but if cash is king for you, then you can do so at the pickup window. If youd prefer to stretch your legs a but, they do have parking spots and you can walk-up to another window and place your order in person, and there are two tables and seating for patrons to use. The staff is mostly young adults and they have all been wonderful! Please do NOT let that car line discourage you! Itll be worth it, we LOVE their lemonade options...the Eclipse is a favorite!

Safeway has the best sandwiches and soups around

Dont go to the Deli Service store.They cant follow directions. I got to get my team lunch, they didnt evern bother to ask what we want on our sandwiches in the end we had to remind them the sandwiches includes cheese.. Gave me my lunch with no condiment or greens just a plain meat and bread sandwich. I had to remind them they do such great service!! Right! Wont recommend to anyone!

I didnt do any shopping on the particular day I visited this Safeway, however, I did enter the store to use the Wells Fargo ATM. I appreciate the ample parking in this shopping center, which is a center with a variety of businesses and several of them, not to mention theres also a gas service station with a small, satellite convenience store where the cashier is posted, that is run by Safeway. The ATM couldnt be more conveniently located than it is in this location. Its

My wife ordered and prepaid for a cake for my daughters sweet 16. It was a fairly easy cake two layer strawberry, square Tiffany blue, with pearls, happy birthday and her name.Confirmed twiceInstead it was the right color, but round, chocolate, pearls strewn on top with only her name able to be on top, it was cracked from halfway to about a tenth to the edge.My wife was so upset she came out of the store crying. When I finally convinced her to call the store, she talked to the manager he told her that what she got is what she had ordered on the tag, he will not give a refund nor a discount, and very rude to her over the phone.

I was at Safeway tonight grocery shopping. So from the Start to finish I was very satisfied with my shopping experience. I never usually request help or ask for assistance. Tonight I did in different departments for a variety of reasons. I really want to give Safeway recognition for outstanding, friendly service! Safeway has a large selection of produce and fruit, which for this time of year is fabulous. Checkout could be better with more staff.

Good selection, quick self checkout. Limited variety of items in the dairy section. Fruits are good but can be overripe. Meat section has good, ready to cook selection and friendly staff! Good place to stop.

Open at a decent hour close at a conservative hour its the finest grocery store in all of Antioch, for a customer. Dont work here, they send managers here when they piss someone off so dont ever expect a happy store or assistant manager here.

So far not happy with Antioch taking over for delivery. They replace items with totally different items, then same item different size. Replaced beef brisket with corned beef brisket, two different things to me. Last week plastic wrap for parchment paper and toilet bleach tablets for liquid toilet cleaner. Tried to call today to correct order could not get a hold of delivery department at all on hold for 30 minutes and customer service did not help either. Might be time to go to Walmart shopping

Great place to get food, vegetables, beers etc..

I went to the seafood counter asked the clerk for 1/2 lbs Italian seafood salad. Got home went to open it up for our dinner was charged $51.28 for 1.72 lbs of crab legs. I took it straight back. It took 3 days before the return hit my bank account. I thought I give them another try today. There was 2 people in the sandwich, a customer at the deli meat counter and me. 2 clerks over at the sandwich area there 1 in the deli meat section and 2 standing making sushi. It took 17 minutes until the one clerk from sandwich bar came to help me. This man had just arrived to get Chinese food and the clerk making sushi starting waiting on him. I asked my clerk for some chicken stripes and asked for fried rice and chow main. She said that after I got my stripes I had to go standing behind the line to get my Chinese food. I was like oh I am done here. I will never go back to this Safeway again.

Great deli, love the bakery and the staff is so friendly

The store is always nice and neat, plus well stocked. But the cashiers and baggers are not very friendly. They dont greet you or thank you for coming or anything. I was in Awe? Safeway is known for much better customer service than this. Ive been there 4 times cause I live close by, but I may change stores.

I had an appointment in the pharmacy and I can honestly say it was a very pleasant experience. Everyone was helpful, friendly and the service was great.

Was not very clean when I went to the bathroom and everything was kind of sticky looking around the store definitely could use a good cleaning in there. Also the area is not good at all keep your doors locked at all times

What I like: Fresh & organic choices, high quality meats, healthful options, nice selection of cheese and cured meats, fairly nice employees, clean & orderly, and a familiar and comfortable layout.What I dislike. I have never personally had any issues being watched or followed. However, upon reviewing other claims I asked a friend of mine to do an experiment I had her go into the store to buy a few items. I watched her and noticed that some of the actions by security was not similar to my own experiences.I understand that while Antioch my not be of the same socio-economic level as Walnut Creek or Brentwood and I know that all supermarkets must deal with product loss. But by doing this you alienate some customers and deprive them of knowing what Safeway is all about. I recognize that this treatment is not indicative of how Safeway views its patrons and it may be due to overzealous security guards using lazy standards to promote safety and reduce losses. However, I believe openness and honesty can help this Safeway rehabilitate its image therefore I implore them to look-inward and ameliorate this situation.

This place provides sanitized carts which is very clear which ones are sanitized and thats great! I didnt see any good sales in this store but I plan in going back next week to see.

Disappointed with the bakerys 1st double charged on a birthday cake order. Not gotton back for credit. Did go speak with bakey. The cake ordered, I was told they cant do a filling in a font cake. Called and changed to reg cake whip topping. They charged for a pudding ring not ordered, didnt recieve. She didnt give me and options. On any thing.l did pay before l left $34.99On my bank statement 2 changes$25.00 AND $34.99 . The cake should have been $29.00 that was it.

Always a pleasure, we’ve shopped at Safeway here in Northern California and Von’s in Southern California since moving to California as newlyweds in October 1973.Our Safeway Club Card has enabled us to save a considerable amount of money compared to regular prices and saving an extra 10 cents a gallon on gasoline is nice too.We really appreciate the terrific selection of products and the friendly, helpful, service of the employees.

Not good. My husband and I both need an electric cart and they only have one left. Today he was worse off so he got to use the cart. I understand people steal them. There is a solution to this crime. When a customer leaves the store a bagger clerk follows the customers out, helps them to load their car and brings the electric cart back into the store. This is what Raleys does. They always have 4 carts. My husband and I are 74 and 72. Please send more electric carts to my Safeway.

Best place to get cheese

BAD SERVICR AGAIN went in few minutes ago and there was no cashier had to wait for her to finally appear and instead of apologizing 4 making me wait she asks men how wad my day great up until this piont. Well stocked, lots of parking, and other nice nearby stores. Busy traffic.

Safeway is convenient for me. You have to know your prices. Use coupon, shop on $5 Friday. You will save alot. Also you accumulate points towards gas and get cheap gas which is great. Dont forget to give your ten digit phone number to the cashier before you pay in order to receive discounts. Safeway can be pricey though.

Always clean and organized with helpful employees. Long lines at check out can be unbearable though. Oh and the pharmacy and its employees are top notch.

No training of employees. My first job was a bagger and first rule of bagging was keeping meats and colds separate from other food.Want meat covered bread? Shop here.Leaking fish? Lets bag it on top of your bread or fresh produce. Best way to keep your pharmacy busy, keep your customers ill.Need to know where an item is? Ask an employee.... Its over there somewhere.I no longer allow them to bag my items. I just shop at Winco and bag them myself.

I can’t believe the checker Meralin at this Safeway!! Not only does she have a personal conversation with her customers she also stops checking the items to continue her convos! To make it worse she didn’t know how to scan in a Safeway gift card, so a manager showed her how to do it. Then the same customer tells her she has another gift card but Meralin couldn’t remember how to scan it after she was just showed by a manager!!! My God manager of this store talk to her, and tell her to STOP TALKING SO MUCH!!! And re-train her so she knows how to use her register! Serially will never go into her line again! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Contactless pick up and right on time switched few things and I asked for different and no problem. Easy order online call from parking lot they come out and load it into your vehicle safe and easy!

I do the pu of groceries here. Parking for this is not for e cArt only. People park in the one marked spot who go in to shop. So I am told to park on front, in a red zone, where people honk and yell at me.

Between Luckys and Safeways I like the both of these stores but since Luckys has closed down in December Ive been shopping more at Safeway Safeway is a little pricey but I like Safeways.

I am disabled and there is currently only 1 auto cart. The store never has the soda I drink. The prices are going up. On the flip side: Employees are helpful and courteous and the store is clean. Social distancing is practiced and they wipe the counters between customers

Love this store. Always fully stocked and clean. However there pricing was off as opposed to whats on sale. Batteries on 5.00 Friday rang up 14.99. Also a few other items were not ringing correctly but overall this store is great.
