What a find! At least I wasnt aware they were so close and sold used but good tires. I live in Shelton and my front tires were bald and the back tires werent in the best shape either. For new tires at Town Fair Tire it would have been $450 plus tax. Just buy and install with no alignment. Tire Shack put 4 matching used tires with a lot of tread left on my 2007 Honda Civic for $160! I was so pleased with their service and how friendly they were when I was there. They sell new tires as well. I couldnt afford new so these used ones did the trick. They were Cooper all season tires as well. I would highly recommend them if you live in the Valley. They do pretty much everything you need for cars. They dont just sell tires. Full service garage.

We will never go back and suggest nobody else does! We bought 4 new tires for are Jeep from Vinny at Tire Shak last year. We drove the car less than 4,000 miles. While getting an oil change another mechanic noticed cracks in our sidewalls and recommended, we return them for safety reasons. We contacted Vinnie immediately. His attitude and customer service were piss poor. He said well I did not make the tires. I said well you sold them you should stand by your product. He tried to sell me 4 new tires quoting more expensive tires than the original plus installation. We chose to go to a professional company Town Fair Tire. I returned the tires to Vinnie, hoping he would do me right.After more prodding on our part and attitude on his when we called. Vinnie called me two weeks after I dropped off the tires (that he made me remove from my car with no assistance). The company credited Tire Shak for my tires $63.38 per tire for a total of $253.52.Not Bad I was happy. Until I was informed he would only give me $213.52 Vinny had the NERVE to charge me $10.00 per tire for a handling fee profiting $40.00 more on my misfortune of doing business with him.Customers beware of the snake in the Shak ~~~~!

My daughter got a flat tire in Ansonia, and managed to make it to the parking lot where the Tire Shak is located. Even though it was 2 hours past closing, Vinny was in the store and offered to help her out by patching the tire, then refused to take any money for his services. Vinny is a superstar!!! I would recommend the Tire Shak to anyone reading this review!

Never had better and kinder customer service. We got a flat on our way to the in laws, googled the closest place to us and found Tire Shack. I wish we lived closer to make them our mechanic! They were honest and more than fair. Thank you guys.

Dont waste your time...going anywhere else. Vinny is the most honest hard working guy you would want ...he will do his level best to keep your off warranty BMW or 20 year old junker on the road. Been going there for 11 years...most of his guys are lifers who are loyal to Vinny as well as his loyal customers. Even the bathroom is super clean. Treats everyone with respect, even nerds like me who dont know squat about their car.

I called up tire shak for pricing to get a resonator replaced and the price for the parts and labor for the job, once I told the guy that he started talking to me very rudely and said I need to see the car, I cant give prices. Then I told him that your website states call for pricing, then he said with an even ruder tone this time that he needs to see the car and its not fair to him to give out prices. I was like what?? What in the world is this guy talking about??? I then told him well Ill decide if I want to bring my car there and hung up, I dont know how these people do business but talking to potential new customers in this manner isnt gonna earn my business and Ill never go there. The website clearly states call for pricing and for appointments. Then they refuse to give prices over the phone!!!!! Horrible place and just shows how theyll treat you and your car when you go there for service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
