Read the reviews carefully. Most have no comments and some are from employees. This is the second review I’ve ever posted - first was positive, and I’ve done my best to remove any emotion. I truly hope the owner and potential buyers sees this review for their protection.I was working with Jack to purchase a 2016 Chaparral 250 Suncoast. The finance company required a boat survey, which cannot be done on a boat lift. There is a trailer and a boat launch next to the boat. The surveyor asked for the boat to be on the trailer and Jack refused and wouldn’t approach the seller. The lack of professionalism and professional courtesy between the two resulted in the surveyor refusing to work with Jack any further. Now I’m stuck without a surveyor.I contacted Ken the owner to help make this right and complete the sale. Ultimately, he didn’t want to hear my side of the story and was not interested in facilitating the sale.It does not appear there is anything wrong with the boat minus a good cleaning. However, the engine was used in brackish (salt) water and there is some cracking on a transverse frame in the center storage area. The motor was reportedly flushed after each use but I saw no freshwater hose on the dock. Need to inspect the drive and exhaust. Jack said the cracks were just the gel coat but they are a little deep. Part of a survey is hull taps and moisture readings. Again, this cannot be performed on a boat lift. Is it an issue? Unlikely, but that’s what the survey is for. Why wouldn’t the Broker help facilitate?Good luck dealing with this company. Definitely not customer focused.

In 2018 I was preparing for retirement. My wife and I decided to purchase a sailboat. David was honest, patient, and very knowledgeable. He accompanied us to many marinas to look at boats and after 6 months of searching we finally settled on a Tartan 43 in 12/2018. David remained supportive and guided us thru our marine survey. Once we agreed to move forward, the purchase was handled seamlessly by North Point Yachts.
