Not sure what happened to this particular Sephora, but theres been a change for sure... customer service is challenged. Came into replace a product Id bought overseas where the color palette is given number versus a name. Sephora offered six different palettes; but three of the testers were missing from the display. And the stock was low. I tried to get help, but it seemed staff were more interested in chatting among themselves. After my husband was finally able to secure assistance for me, the clerk went to the storeroom to look for the missing testers. She came back with one of them. Although the three testers on the display could be touched and tried on ones hand, I wasnt permitted to touch the tester the clerk held. It was wrapped in plastic and she held it up for me to view. I hesitantly bought it that palette. But its still in the bag, unopened, because once I got home and compared to the one I was trying to replace, the colors are all wrong. I think that one of the missing testers is the palette I should have bought. And so I reached out multiple times to see if one of the missing testers and product is back in stock so that I could make an exchange. It would save me a trip into the store. But calling the store with my inquiry was a mistake. The first time I was cut off. I called back.After explaining the situation again, I was put through to a manager who answered the transferred in an annoyed sounding how can I help you? I was a bit surprised because the staff who transferred me knew the story and my name. and assumed would have apprised the person she was transferring me to. And so I simply asked to whom I was speaking. Instead of simply stating her name, she said no, what is YOUR name?I told her my name, and again asked her name. She talked over me and said loudly last name? I asked her why she wouldnt provide me her name, and did I need to call customer service? She said it was Chara. Her demeanor and tone right from the get-go was not remotely warm or inviting, but nasty and inappropriate. I decided not to speak with her.

Absolutely amazing experience with Shara when my girlfriend and I came in to get cologne and perfume. She was very helpful and suggested all the right scents based on what we said we enjoyed. I had to come back because of a small issue with the cologne bottle and Shara was there again to help.

My first time visiting this location. They had many products in stock, but I was not asked once if I needed assistance as I was looking around. For someone who spent over $100, in skincare, I’ll take my business elsewhere even if that is Sephora Inside JCP.

Typical Sephora but apparently their employees cant add. There is a sign that says 27 people is the maximum COVID occupancy yet there was, at most, 12 people in the store including staff so they forced us to stand outside and wait for an equal number to leave before we could enter.

I came in to get a new foundation & get a couple of items. I usually dont want any help, but this was not the case. I needed a new summer foundation and I was helped by Tecora. Who happened to be one of Thee best employees I have ever encountered. I can not express the joy, calmness and attention to detail Tecora had with me. She was absolutely in no rush to help me and get on. She was patient, very helpful & made me feel like a celebrity. To treat me with such importance and kindness. Im totally in love with each recommendation she has made. I have decided to drive 30 min every time to Annapolis just to be helped by her. If you ever wanna be helped with a genuine positive attitude its Tecora you need.

Very helpful staff. I made an appointment to go back for a makeover. Plenty of inventory. I was helped at the register with a return by one staff member and another got me straight to a product I was looking for! I love Sephora!

Went on a Saturday to try foundation. I was lucky to get seeing by Wasim! He matched me to a foundation, he helped me find a good primer and a concealer. He took really great care of me. Even the store was busy he took his time and really answered all my questions. Not every Sephora store will do that, sad to say. 5 stars!!

Every worker here was friendly and helpful. Not pushy at all, but knowledgeable and gave guidance. I have to say, for just my makeup purchases, I will probably use Sephora over Ulta from now on.

I shop at sephora for all my makeup needs. However this location is sub par compared to your typical sephora. The one inside jcpenney had better customer service. Unfortunately she had to send me here to the main location for my products. There were around 4 employees when I walked in and maybe 2 customers and not a single one of them helped me find my products or even spoke to me. It wasnt until I went to check out that someone informed me my foundation pallet is no longer carried. I gave them 2 stars because they did attempt to find a replacement for it but failed.

This store would be much better if the store manager Natalie K. actually did her job and knew how to do it properly without making their employees feel less than what the are. Natalie, you are a horrible leader! And I wish the customers leaving these reviews knew how bad the employees were treated if so, these ratings would be lower. Ive worked with customers for years and still continue to and never will I ever put clients or customers before my employees who do nothing but service the people you think are better than them. My wife used to work here and bend over backwards for this company even if they didnt pay her for it. Within the last week we mutually agreed that this job was mentally destroying her because they do not care about you. Shes better off. Sephora in Annapolis has lost one of their best employees. Good luck to those still stuck under that manager. Reema, I sincerely hope you become store director before that store hits below rock bottom.

When I walked in, none of the associates asked me if I needed any assistance. After I was looking around, I asked if an employee if they could help me with a foundation shade match. The associate told me that the wait was 10 minutes long so I waited. 25 minutes later, still no one was helping me!! In fact, in the aisle next to me, two associates were chit chatting and one of them even said to the other that I needed help, but they proceeded to keep talking! This is by far the worst Sephora Ive ever visited.

The staff is rude rude RUDE!!! They will not help and will look at you like youre bothering them from their very important conversation. I had gone in to purchase a YSL foundation and needed a color match. I had asked a woman close to me who said she would get someone to help. No one came for 15 minutes. I asked the same girl and she look confused and said someone will be with me and to just have a seat at the Beauty Studio.Not even a minute after, I was told to move because a client was suppose to sit there to get her makeup done. There was no need to be rude about it and couldve been said much nicer.I never was able to get a color match, even after waiting again and decided to go to Nordstrom instead. Much better service! I was helped and checked out so quickly and easily and Nordstrom was BUSIER than Sephora!!!

Beyond happy with my experience. I couldn’t have asked for better service. I feel like many people get frustrated not knowing how to get better skin or where to look for the best product for you and Logan (an employee) helped me with just that. Not only did Logan explain what products I should and shouldn’t be using, she also experimented the product on my hand and gave detailed instructions on how to use certain products. She gave me all the answers I needed and was so kind and educated on skin care. Thank you Logan :) this girl taught me more about skin care in 20 min than I’ve learned my whole life. SO gratefull.

Some of the employees at this store location demonstrate a moderate level of respect for customers when they make a purchase; however, they demonstrate irritation, unprofessionalism, and mild disrespect when customers need to exchange or return products that meet their companys policy. With that said, the customer service at this location is poor at best. The Director makes too many excuses for her staffs inappropriate behavior; however, she makes a genuine effort to resolve issues when they occur. I will not use this store to meet my future beauty and skin care needs.

Nothing wrong with Sephora aside this location. I paid to have a make over and she made me look like a clown. I was immediately irritated and dissatisfied. It was a waste of money a d I went and washed it right off in front of her. But she had no problem keeping my money. Never again. Hair, nails and makeup shouldnt be done in a mall where only ppl working are kids.No cosmetology license, no professionalism. Their makeup is just over priced with nice packaging.

I attempted to exchange a Murad facial cleanser for something else because it did nothing for my acne. It was well used because I wanted to give the product time to work. So when I brought it into the store the associates begin to laugh like oh it’s so low...let us ask our manager. Rather than explain the policy she was rude as well. It’s clear that the employees felt they could do this because their manager on duty is just as nasty. For the cost of the products in the store some level of respect should be a priority when dealing with customers. I would not recommend the store or the Murad facial cleanser.

They refused a return, even with a receipt because it was purchased at a JCPenny Sephora. If that policy is true, that is a huge inconvenience to customers and that should not be the case. Sorry but I will be a Ulta customer from now on.

Ive been shopping at Sephora for almost 8 years and started frequenting this location about a year ago. Im not sure what is going on at this location but when I enter the store, none of the sales associates approach me to see if I need help. When I actively seek someone out, they often act annoyed with me for bothering them and get angry when I specify that my purchases have to be cruelty free. The last time I visited, I was on the hunt for my first eye primer and a new eyeliner. After being made to feel like I was inconveniencing the associate by interrupting her conversation with another associate about weekend plans, she suggested I go look at another brand to see if they see an eye primer but couldnt be bothered to walk over there to look with me. Im sorry, I thought it was her job to help me spend my money in her store. I guess not.This location only deserves one star but Im giving them two because they usually most of their products in stock.

THE MANAGER SHARA THERE IS THE WORST. SHE IS SOOOO RUDE AND NEEDS TO TAKE A CUSTOMER SERVICE CLASS. She was helping me find a product and when she handed it to me, before I even got to say thank you, she sarcastically said your welcome. How rude is that? And then another time I went there to return something and she told the associate at the register that she needs to give me merchandise credit instead of giving me a full refund WHEN I CAME WITH THE RECIPT AND PAID WITH A DEBIT CARD. She has a problem. Another time I also came in, she was talking about me to another Sephora employee and I saw her roll her eyes and say shes still here?!. She needs to gtf. Foreal.
