Nice but over-priced! If you have money to waste, go ahead. I can find excellent, organic produce at half the price. Also, the staff rush around and pretty much ignore you. I did find a couple snacks that I liked. But dont go there hardly ever.I gave three stars, when two was my first thought, because the cheese shop was very helpful and was generous with offering a couple samples before I chose the one I liked. Kudos to them
A terrible shopping experience with extremely loud music in the deli section. The management cares, but the brother owners and those in the corporate seem to be carefree and callous now for years. No kidding. Change the damned satellite radio to an in-store one. I know it costs a bit more, but so what? Do your customers have to leave the store with a headache?!Also, the saffron is impure and highly adulterated, which renders it too expensive. Pure saffron is simply pure with great aroma and taste. Your purchasing agent should know better.
My boyfriend bought two bottles of sunscreen at self checkout this summer. As he was getting into the car I saw this woman coming from the store into the parking lot yelling after him. I witnessed this employee- a middle aged, short, gray haired white woman yell at him saying You stole that! You stole that! He approached her with the purchases and receipt in hand saying Oh, I stole it? Her responding Yea! She didnt apologize after reviewing the receipt and just huffed away back inside. I explained the situation to Fatima on the phone that day who was very helpful and apologetic about the ridiculous encounter. She passed the information to her boss. Quinten Grier contacted me, no apology whatsoever and simply a we warned the employee and that was that. We were regular customers here but since that encounter we took our business to Arbor Farms Market who has been continuously respectful and has better quality products.
I love Plum Market and go perhaps 1x a week. Their veggies are fresh and they have excellent events, such as the wine tasting coming up next week in Nov.
Besides the outrageous prices, which absolutely decreases the amount of groceries I buy from the store, this is absolutely one of the best grocery stores I’ve been to in my entire life, besides the Whole Foods in Miami and Charlotte, North Carolina.Jeremiah, who works at the coffee station is absolutely amazing. He makes you feel as if you’ve known him for years, so authentic, so nice, so kind. What a perfect human being to work at your store. Everyone is so helpful and on top of it so nice. Plus incredibly knowledgeable about every tiny little thing.Flower section is beyond amazing, it is absolutely the best flower section in any grocery chain I’ve ever seen before. I go here before I go to any other extremely over priced flower store. This is the only part of the store that isn’t severely over priced, which is very appreciated. The girl who works in the flower section is also fabulous too.I do wish there was much cheaper salmon roe available. I can go to a very high-quality Japanese sushi place and purchase it for a quarter of the price & double the amount.Lastly, I appreciated the incredibly amazing selection of alcohol and you also have fresh passion fruit. Couldn’t find passion fruit in a 100 mile radius. Just wish it was cheaper. 💖
I love this place. So many great selections. I never feel like I looked enough. Best vegan selection in town and organic no contest.
The liquor and beer sections are very good. But sometimes Plum manages their inventory in a way that breaks my heart. Never has a store so many times stopped carrying things that I love. Also never has a store so many times sold me spoiled milk because their cooler doesnt work right.
The Store is well organized and always fun to shop at because of all the unique products. Julie was at the register checking us out and she was very knowledgeable about the rewards program and ended up saving me over $50! Would recommend for the selection of products and the incredibly helpful staff!
Prices are crazy high I feel
I’ve always love this market but came in tonight to get a candle for a gift. The woman who assisted me that runs the apothecary section was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She gave me attitude when I simply asked her to help me locate the box for a candle on display. She made no effort to look and simply said they didn’t sell this candle. Which I had bought there many times before and was shown on display. Shows how Unknowable she is on her department.
Nice. This store boasts a distinct clean and posh environment. Great store. Wifi and 15-20 person seating area. Located next to several retail shops.
Very good service but very pricey!
The products are always high quality, if a little expensive. Ive taken off a star because the prepared foods are sometimes iffy, i.e., my potato salad had undercooked potatoes.
It’s “open” until 10 pm but the fresh loaves of bread are gone before 8 pm, same thing with the prepared foods, and the seafood is packed away by 9 pm.
Very nice whole foods grocery market! A bit on the expensive side, but organic and whole foods will always cost more. If your in the area, be sure to drop in.
If you really need a pick-me-up the coffee at the plum market cafe will send you into a jubilant and productive rage. Every time I go I see Jeremiah, the barista, walking on sunshine. He greets you with the sweetest smile and clearly cares about giving the best service. Is it the coffee or is it him? I think a little of both.
They got all the dairy free ice cream, its my go to place for it
DISCRIMINATION. PURE AND SIMPLE. I have a medical exemption which requires me not to wear a mask, I do not do instore shopping (mostly due to inflated pricing) but I have gone into the coffee shop for a moment to pick up a drink...... which has consistently been called in ahead to cut down on the time I spend in the store. Those are adjustments I made as a customer, the store respected me and everything was fine. Today, I was informed that the policy had changed and they would be enforcing mask despite medical exemptions. The enforcing of mask is unlawful and unconstitutional on every level, regardless of medical exemptions. (important to note) Though, when individuals cannot wear mask and can supply medical note, well then its just inhumane. Store policy does not override an individuals civil rights, medical rights or constitutional rights. Ive been a loyal customer and have appreciated much of the staff as they are separate from management, however, as an American, it is a growing concern that stores feel that RIGHTS are now optional.
Its a nicer than average grocery store. Great staff in the various departments. I typically have more interaction with the butchers. Without exception they are always friendly and knowledgeable foodies.
Great quality fruits, veggies, meat & seafood. Food is extremely expensive however. The hot food case had fresh food. It was tasty when I got it home.Too bad you have to be rich to shop here regularly because the food is simply too expensive for families to shop weekly.
Very nice higher end grocery store
Upscale grocery store. Good selection of cheeses. As you would expect, proteins and produce are more expensive than other grocery stores. All of the prepared food that Ive had from Plum have been excellent. The desserts are a winner. Friendly competent staff that are always willing to help.
Very clean, nice store with great looking produce, hard to beat deli, Zingerman’s bakery, etc. but be prepared for a major hit to the pocketbook - vety expensive!
Great store! Lots of local brands, great selection and awesome employees. Excellent liquor selection including beer and wine. Great fish, meat and seafood. Huge produce selection with local and in season offerings. Pricier than your average grocery store, yes, but you are paying for quality and locally/responsibility sourced product.
Incredible variety of foods/products...the Carolina chicken salad is life changing...the hummingbird cake is a perfect treat!!!
The wine selection is great. Also, the fruit is very fresh tasty!
I love the beautifully fresh produce and meats. It is pricey, but worth it.
Higher prices on most. For us, this is a store to go to once in awhile to change it up. Delicious food within the pizza and prepared foods area. Environment inside is a little too close for me, but Ill come back.
Oh boy if you need something in a hurry for a recipe they always have it
Plum Market had a wonderful selection of produce, as well as baked goods, frozen foods, drinks, and assorted packaged food. They also have a huge health section. Plum Market has everything you could need. I eat a vegan diet a Plum is the perfect place to get my food. They are just a little expensive.
They have a great selection of brands that are hard to find elsewhere. Healthy food can be found here. Loved it. You are going to pay for it.
The Plum Market I shopped in was a sight to see! The Produce Department is the second part you get to see, first is the entry area which has an interesting assortment of products I presume the change by the season or event. Produce and a large portion of the market, is mostly organic or healthy choice items. The staff is friendly and helpful and have no problem taking you directly to the thing, or things, for which you are looking. I look forward to and enjoy each visit.
If youre upscale,or A Vegan? Nice locally sourced place.I get my Vitamins there.
Nestled at the edge of ann arbor is one of the finest grocery stores known to all. The exotic cheeses, the broad selection of wine, the rich caviar. True theres gluten free products, but we cant hold that against them when there are pasties to be had! Find your way to enormous cakes, giant loaves of sourdough and exotic teas to go with the giant crab.
Great store, great selections, friendly staff!
Good, but pricey. Many items not marked at all.
Excellent variety, pricey but good quality foods!
I like the store since its open I enjoy the tea selection which is great and they have great sandwiches employees Im knowledgeable of the products very Swift and quick
Exceptional service, and friendly and knowledgable staff. Their fresh seafood and meats are outstanding.
Upscale market with a unique array of foods and products both local and otherwise. Tasty in-house cuisine, expansive selection of homeware products and an impressive wine catalogue.
I dont shop here for groceries but I do come here for the ready to eat food they got some really delicious food and their soups and salads are one of my favourite
Its nice lil shopping experience. Enjoyed the variety of goods there. The service was awesome. If you even have thoughts on going there just see what you can see. Dont be surprised if you end up buying some of their fresh made pizza or spinach squares. Very clean place and friendly employees with a smile.
I love shopping there, Specially from the flower section .
Nice clean supermarket, well stocked, BUT very expensive.
Safest grocery for in-store shopping in the area. Sanitized carts, free gloves. 1 way aisles, enough checkers, limited in-store customers. Wonderful wine selection with 2 sommeliers. Especially impressed by Kevin in deli and store manager Jamey, whos always around to make sure all is well.
The Best! Food, Wine/Liquor selection, produce quality, apothecary, etc..You do pay for the Best though.
An outstanding upscale market in Ann Arbor
Good selection. Great meat market with top quality grade A.
What I love about PLUM is that they have a wide selection of local brands.
Very kind and generous workers there. Fresh vegetables and fruits. A collection of wines is especially great.
Not only is their produce great, their SD protocols are the safest I have experienced. Not only are protocols clearly defined, the staff kindly guided all patrons to follow them.It was very nice to be warmly greeted, and thanked for wearing a mask. They also offer masks and gloves for shoppers who do not have any. You can see them actively dissenfecting carts and touchable surfaces. Kudos for making me feel protected.
Garlic was bad, broccoli 🥦 seemed old, not a huge fan of pricing $$$$$
Great store for high quality food. Best selection around!
I came in to pick up Flowers and found that Plum market is two times as high as Meijer For the same bundle of flowers. They are only looking to take your money, it’s not about quality it’s about the name. Beware, do not get flowers from Plum market. Go to Meyer or any florist in the area and you can save at least 50%. Plum market will steal your money.
So much good about it, but high dollar pricing
Plum is very expensive but the quality is well worth it.
Good selection and quality food but the rude staff behind the deli counter are not worth the visit. I recommend going elsewhere.
It was pretty good, fair prices for the fact that you’re buying real foods. Michael the cashier had a mask on and was behind his glass shield and had a problem with me in my third trimester not putting one over my own face while it was 70 degrees out while all of the other employees were perfectly respectful of me making my own choice about my body.
Good selection of Malbec.
The best the employees was so nice
I go here multiple times a week. Staff is consistently very friendly, produce is always stocked and store is very clean.
In the midst of the COVID - 19 crisis I have found that Plum Market is a balm for the soul. I was greeted outside the front door with someone wearing a mask, holding out a box of disposable gloves and pointing me to a disinfected grocery cart. The aisles were clearly marked as one way and it was easy to navigate around other shoppers and helpful employees. The shelves were fully stocked and I found everything I needed.
Found the best pie shells made by Zingermans
They always run out of whitefish spread early on the weekends. When are they going to start making more?
They have a wide selection of chocolates, alcohol, and many other things. Also, check out the discount stuff near the milk, its great.
Very nice people work here.
I have mixed feelings about Plum. On the one hand, they have an excellent wine and beer selection, good choices in organic foods, and a reasonable selection in their deli and buffet area.On the other hand, I dont always find the staff to be particularly friendly or helpful - there is a kind of Ann Arbor Haughty that marks quite a few of the employees. Also - as has been regularly noted - the prices are quite competitive, but only when compared to somewhere like Whole Foods. So maybe a 3.5 rating would be more appropriate.
The deli market is amazing here! Its a really good choice for quick 30min grab and go workday lunches when youre after fresh, healthy food, hot or cold. The prices are reasonable too when you consider buying organic ingredients.
Great selection. Fresh food. Meats, cheese, dairy, wine, bakery, beer and liquor, produce and candy. You have healthy and very tasty frozen food selections. All the best. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The store is clean and bright. The health and body care or apothecary is full of wonderful choices. I love the soaps and lotions and makeup.
Great wine selection!!
Huge variety of products youll find no where else !! Some things are fairly expensive
Great selection at a premium price. Covid protection was at a high level for grocery stores.
Impressive display. I like this store for a few great things
They have nice bathrooms
Best deli/takeout Ive seen, above and beyond whole foods
Always enjoy a fresh selection from the hot bar.
The prices for all their products are 20-40% higher than Whole Foods! Store layout isnt convenient at all. Only positive is their Meat Counter.
Pricier grocery store, but you get what you pay for. Huge selection of high quality products. Awesome deli where you can get all kinds of food - pizza, sushi, lasagna, soup, sandwiches, salad, and all kinds of sides. The meat and seafood sections have some of the best looking stock Ive ever seen. Bakery offers Zingermans products. Staff is extremely friendly and is always happy to offer samples and suggestions.
Place is always clean and organized and employees super nice.
Great selection of organic foods.
They have great challah and the hot food bar is open again with prepackaged items.
Just an all around excellent store
One of the few places you can find products not carried elsewhere. High quality but has prices to match. Lots of employees to help you get fresh items.
I really like going shopping picking a a few small snacks and sitting at Cafe part. I have had good experiences talking with the staff about their alcohol selection they have had a good track record helping describe what they have and helping me pick something out. The cashiers and other staff have always been nice. It is also nice to go before closing to get discounts on end of day cake and bread.Prices can be very expensive. They do tend to have good sales though.
Nice clean market with scores of specialty items. Pick up seaweed snack or fresh cut meat, your choice. Clerks are friendly and helpful. The cashier was friendly and engaging.
The store has gone above and beyond during the covid-19 pandemic. I really appreciate their attention to detail and offering curbside pickup.
They have a great selection of top notch fresh butcher products. Make sure to try the thick cut bacon. Only down fall to the plum is it is very expensive, all the freah meats are worth it but other items can be had for much less across town.
They dont always have what Im looking for and the prices are pretty steep. Nice layout and location. Always friendly and helpful.
Wonderful store, with amazing produce and great selection of meat!
I never go inside, but my roommate does the shopping there. The produce is high quality. I love the broccoli he gets there. And their pizza is good, too. The prices are higher, but you get what you pay for, and there are helpful coupons he regularly makes use of.
They have so much fun stuff. Also keeping everything clean for safe covid shopping.
Higher prices. There always is a welcoming scent at the entrance. And all along the way. Scents that gives an additional comfort. It almost deterrs from the food compartment. It is fun to go around Plums products exhibiting architecture. Counters seem greatly trained in customer caring.
The most artistic, beautifully stocked grocery store ever! The tend to lean towards a Whole Foods + a wonderful wine store, but also have mainstream items, too. I do love their hot sliced pizza and their fresh food and salad bar. Oh, and they have a full selection of Sees Candies from San Francisco and they are delectable! Actually, everything is to love ♡♡♡
Love this store! I enjoy shopping here. I find a large assortment of gourmet and everyday items. Everything is very fresh.
Please teach the tall Cashier with the pony tail to have more patience and manners With customers at check out. With the prices being charged At this establishment your employees should be utterly Remarkable.
Good place for college kids to do their shopping. I appreciated the many different types of ethnic food they offer! Catering to the diverse population of U of M!
