Truly great ice cream made at the shop! I did the sampler that came with four kinds for 8.25 - such a great deal. They make all their own cones too. The banana foster was sublime, and the apple crisp as well. I love small business ice cream shops that make all their own stuff SO MUCH. Clearly a lot of thought and pride goes into the flavors.

They have it all! They have decided that $9 a pint should not be fully packed or worth the effort. Sorry that the customer is pushed to the back. Second time it has happened so it’s a practice, not a fluke. It is no longer special to be cheated by the business.

Great range of flavors, including a handful of nondairy. Line moves pretty quick and staff are friendly. Limited parking because they added a extra outdoor seating (few tables out front and on the side).

Waffle cone highly recommended, they make them fresh. Got a half Vietnamese cinnamon, half Thai tea and I couldnt recommend the combination more. The cinnamon was bold and contrasted a much more subtle collection of flavors in the Thai tea, just lovely.Also, the garden mint chocolate chip is Unreal in the best way

Fun flavors, really nice dense and creamy ice cream texture. Staff was friendly, super efficient and helpful getting an “allergy scoop”. (First scoop from the tub out back to avoid cross contamination). Homemade waffle cones are worth the extra bit of money. The long line on a hot summer day moved very quickly. Can’t wait to visit again!

I used to think this place was overrated but it’s not. Definitely an Ann Arbor staple and must try. Wolverine track and bittersweet chocolate are my favourite.

The have the best ice cream around - and the best non dairy options, hands down. Personal favorite is the raspberry sorbet in a chocolate covered waffle cone! The line was out the door and around the corner and within 15 minutes we had ice cream and happily went on our way. The workers are all very pleasant and polite as well to put the cherry on top of the whole experience. I definitely recommend Blank Slate to anyone looking for ice cream in the Ann Arbor area!

Pretty solid ice cream, very different flavors like strawberry balsamic, a very convincing blueberry pancake, and lavender honey. My friend says the flavors change fairly frequently. I had wolverine tracks which was salted moose tracks, very good!

Super popular and unique ice cream shop in Ann Arbor with fancy flavors. We showed up right when they opened and there was immediately a crowd lined up out the door. We tried the garden mint chip and basil peach, both were really good!

While the ice cream is good, the owner behaved absolutely horrifically tonight. She on multiple occasions kept abusing and harassing a young woman regarding her service animal. She has a clear lack of knowledge of the law which the young woman politely tried to keep explaining to her. The young woman was further harassed and mistreated in front of a crowd of people. The owner followed her to multiple points continuously going after her. It was appalling. The American With Disabilities Act supports the patron and this owner should be held accountable. This was witnessed by a crowd of aghast people. Further, if the owner or her staff continue to treat customers that way it grounds for a significant lawsuit. This is truly disheartening but is enough to prevent many from returning to support this business and could end up with putting Blank Slate Creamery in a legal battle they can not win. They not only owe the young woman they verbally abused a sincere apology, they also need to educate themselves regarding the law.

Even though lines look long, service was quick and efficient with a smile!Mango sorbet was so smooth and flavorful. Honey lavender ice cream is another favorite and never disappoints! The cookies and cream shake was oh so good with lots of oreos mixed in!

So many flavors - i really enjoyed the Cappucino chips and banana puddings. Staff are well-prepared and sanitize the surface every time someone is in the counter. Appreciate the precaution. There are a few customer only parking spots which are great for drivers.

I really love the variety and niche flavor combinations, however its not for everyone! I would highly suggest trying before buying in some cases. The mint is more of a fresh from the garden mint that turns a bit menthol, and then finishes with a peppermint flavor - its not what I was expecting!

Im so lucky I found Blank Slate! Every time I visit Im impressed with how they execute their unique flavors. I wont be able to find some of them, like Basil (one of my favorites), anywhere else. I hope they bring back the Honey Lavender Lemon! It was my favorite.

First time visiting this place and I will never be back. I understand it’s gets busy and you all are trying to help everyone get in and out but you shouldn’t be so impatient with first time customers or even long term. I simply asked if I could have chocolate chips on my ice cream and the lady cuts me off and states “We can’t do that here” we dont even have chocolate chips. Like I’m sorry I’ve never been here jeez.

This is the best ice cream I have ever had. Ever. Anywhere (and I make it a point to get ice cream everywhere I travel and have had some incredible ice cream where I now live - Chicago). Also, the staff and owners are just incredible. One incredibly hot summer day, we were sitting in the car waiting on the shop to open. There were two people outside. One of the owners brought them out ice water as they waited in the outdoor seating. I went in another time when they were steeping fresh mint for there ice cream and got to hear about how a couple of the flavors are made. This summer, they have a s’mores ice cream that is to die for.

Its good, but as a one time experience. You can get the exact same quality ice cream just a block down at dairy queen and for half the price. Workers are nice tho!

Blank Slate is delicious! Thank goodness it’s on the other side of town from me or else I’d go too often. Their variety of flavors allows you to change up your ice cream each time you go, if you want. I love that they have a mix of classic and unique flavors as we as some non-dairy options.

This place is an overrated tourist trap. If you want to spend 45 minutes in line for ridiculously priced super sweet, mediocre ice cream than go here. If not there are far better local ice cream spots such as Washtenaw Dairy down the street.I’ve given this place a few chances and every time after waiting forever in line, I was super disappointed. On top of it the staff are pretty rude too.

The ice cream here is very good, I believe they make most, if not all, of it in house. They also make their own waffle cones/pieces and so it always smells like delicious waffle cone in there. Their covid precautions have you outside ordering and picking up orders at the moment, so pretty safe. We have a number of times picked up a Sundae box via online order. Its a lot of fun for the kids.

So spectacular. This is easily the best ice cream in Michigan. They have unique flavors that are delicious and extremely high quality. Their cones are also fantastic and homemade. A must visit if you are in the area. Although dont be surprised if the line is extremely long if you visit on a weekend.

I love blank slate and their ice cream is so good. I recommend this place to everyone. HOWEVER, I really wish their were more non-dairy options. They have good non-dairy ice cream, why cant they make more of it? I do feel a little left out when there are 20 amazing flavors but I can only pick between about 3. Also, I dont know if this is still an issue because it happened to me a while ago, but once I wanted a milkshake with their non-dairy ice cream but they didnt have any non-dairy milk, so I couldnt have a vegan milkshake. Really disappointing.

Blank Slate never disappoints, they have the most delicious ice creams. Some flavors are kinda weird but tasty and they have some of the basic just in case youre not into the weird stuff.

Rude employee. They lost my order and when I went to go ask politely about my order the first time the girl at the window immediately dismissed me without even checking to see if it was being worked on. I ended up waiting around 20min just for them to come to the realization that my order was lost. This was my first time here and because of the poor impression I have due to this one employee in particular I wont be coming back again. The apology I was offered was insincere at best.

I love their new non-dairy coconut cream and pineapple swirl. It is deliciousness. I used to get one scoop of non-diary coconut ice-cream and one scoop of pineapple sorbet. Now they serve both together ♥️♥️

They redid the layout for 2018, theres slightly less indoor seating but it should be way better for traffic flow! And its still my favorite place to get ice cream even if I dont make it here quite as often any more, their home made cones are the best!----------------------------------2017 - Absolutely the best ice cream ever! The prices are extremely fair for such a high quality product. Yes its down town Ann Arbor so parking can be a pain & the line can get long, but its worth it. We especially love the take out ice cream & they even give you cones too! (the reusable containers rock :)

Overrated. Ordered the blueberry pancake, it just tasted like straight up maple syrup. I’ve had a couple flavors there actually that never taste like their names.

The garden mint chocolate chip tastes legit like fresh mint leaves. I didnt actually like that so I traded with my partner for the roasted pecan. That was delightful, creamy, in a crunchy waffle cone. And it wasnt so filling that it upset the stomach. Really good experience and we will be back. In simplest form - the best creamery in the world! Love their flavors- always look on right board to get idea of their new flavours and they never fail to surprise. I have been there numerous times and still probably havent exhausted their menu! Their 4 flavor flight option is my favorite and I have taken so many friends there so many times. And of course will continue to do so as long as I am in Ann Arbor.

There is seating inside and out. Parking is tricky. If you can walk from a Main Street parking spot, that would be best.

Went there on mothers day weekend and ordered the lavender honey in lemon and it was the best tasting ice cream Ive ever had the pleasure of eating. Thanks to my daughters for taking me there.

One of the most unique ice cream shops Ive been in so far. They have a wide amount of different flavors and the two that I liked most were Blueberry Pancake and White Chocolate Raspberry. Very creamy and rich in flavor. The service is fast and the employees are very knowledgeable. Highly satisfied!

Got the peanut butter cone crackle in a waffle cone. Still not sure what was in it since the person taking my order did not seem to know either. What I do know is that it was very sweet, with pieces of something very bitter, like a bitter toffee. Would not recommend and likely wont be back.

Great tasting ice creams! Perfect for a hot summer day. I had the coconut key lime, but tried a couple other flavors. Vietnamese cinnamon, blueberry pancake, and the coffee were all very good. Loved them all! The line is long, but well worth the wait.
