The Superman ice cream is a delicious flavor bomb! Theres so many unique tastes that blend together to form a rich desert 😍 The quality was so good for only $4! What a steal! 😍It was definitely better than a bunch of other pricey ice cream shops around Ann arbor. 💯% recommend and will be coming back to try all the other flavors ^-^

Heard about this place from a friend and wanted to visit from couple of weeks. The place didnt disappoint me, it was lovely with so many donuts and ice cream flavors. Loved the donuts and milkshake here. Highly recommend this place.

This place is cute and their donuts were fairly solid, if a bit dense. I was a little disappointed that they don’t really make their own ice cream or dairy products at all - they just carry other company’s stuff. So, we went up the street to Blank Slate Creamery. When I travel to small towns, I hunt down local places that make all their own stuff.

We stopped here on the way home from work and this was a single serve! OH MY GOODNESS! SO MUCH ICE CREAM! We found out that they also have dairy free ice cream that is coconut base. They also have Sorbet as well. We also got a donut to try! Not bad at all! The wait wasnt super long, so that was nice. Everyone was super friendly!

Came here with some friends who were showing me some old college haunts. We came in and it was bustling, but the line was served fast. I saw donuts on the menu for a good price, so I ordered half of dozen. They also had an ice coffee, so I had that as well. Both were of good quality and reasonably priced. I enjoyed eating donuts while exploring the rest of this city. The coffee was well brewed. 5/5.

Really great donuts that are perfect texture and crispness without being too sweet that are also very affordable. Didn’t try the ice cream but my family members did and they loved it. They have a nice kids size scoop that is perfect portion for little ones. Highly recommend!

Great ice cream, fast service, and super-friendly people. We had coffee, strawberry, and non-dairy chocolate ice cream and loved them all (coffee and strawberry more though). Price is also reasonable. Having ice cream here will definitely become our tradition!

Great ice cream shop with a lot of varieties and good price! Caramel pretzel crunch flavor is my favorite, and the donuts here are delicious too! The indoor decors are also pretty cute.

Be warned: they have MASSIVE portions. the old building is cute, and there were lots of people there. it felt like a community spot in a nice way. the ice cream was fine.

Ive been going to the dairy since I was a little kid. Growing up on forth street it was an easy walk. Now I live in Kansas and come to AA twice a year and alway stop at WD.WD is alway excellent. See you in a couple weeks.

I got a single scoop (lol) of Superman in a waffle cone and it was SO good but also SO MUCH ice cream. I couldnt finish mine and took the rest of the cone and stuck it in my freezer for another sweet treat the next day! But if I dont have access to my freezer right after Ill definitely be requesting a kiddie cone!

This isnt just an ice cream shop! There are a few grocery items available Donuts and coffee, my parents loved the shakes! A single scoop helping is almost like a pint of ice cream. This is an Ann Arbor staple and hopefully always will be park near or far its a lovely walk either way. In the summertime its very nice to walk down the street to Bob elementary school and let the kids play while you enjoy some ice cream. I will always love going here and frequent in the summer often the staff moves quickly! So dont be deterred by a line, and I always leave a tip.

Hand-scooped Strohs ice cream. The darkhorse pick is a hand-dipped shake! They also have packaged wine and beer. Always been my favorite ice cream in town. Old-fashioned in the best way.

Their cones are huge and very generous. I felt bad because I can barely finish one. Ice cream quality is alright, its not as creamy/whole as Hagen Daz, and its flavors are rather generic. But for family treat and summer fun, this dairy is way better than Michigan Creamery and Ben and Jerrys on state street.

Absolute legends. Nobody slings donuts and ice cream like the Dairy. Nobody! They recently helped me deliver a dozen donuts and a pint of ice cream to a friend in need, and they took the order without complaint right before closing. They even included a handwritten note for me. So remember this: Known agents and trusted friends of Ann Arbor get their donut and ice cream needs met at the Dairy, and for good reason!

I love this place. They have really good ice cream and the best cookies and cream that has huge chunks of cookies in it. Yes its a little expensive but they give you a lot of ice cream and its worth it. I would give it five stars but every time I go they give me the wrong size. I order a small and they give me a baby every time and thats with multiple different servers like I know Im fat 🤣Its still a lot of ice cream in the baby so its not that bad just annoying.

Classic ice cream joint with very generous sized scoops plus the best milkshakes in town (get the marshmallow milkshake with vanilla ice cream, its one of a kind!). Also has a convenience store style selection of beer, milk, etc. There are a few other good ice cream spots in town, but we almost always come to Washtenaw Dairy.

Never disappoints. A neighborhood institution, it has lived at least several different lives since opening in 1934. Pre-COVID it was a breakfast gathering spot for retirees in addition to its business of delivering dairy products to other businesses, and, of course, serving up huge ice cream cones and real ice cream malts and shakes in dozens of flavors.

Nice place. My kids loved it. I wish they had more vegan options, but I was grateful there was at least one.

Washtenaw Dairy is an ice cream lovers dream. It has been a staple in Ann Arbor for probably 80 years. Generations of families have shared in the creamy goodness. The portion sizes are tremendous for the price and on a hot day you will have to luck quick to keep the I e cream from dripping down the cone. The dairy has other items too, and its a morning gathering place for locals to kick back and read an actual printed newspaper. For those visiting Ann Arbor, its a not so hidden gem. Enjoy!

The 5 star rating is for their ice cream which is amazing. If you havent been here, start with a single serving. For only $3.50 you get an enormous amount of ice cream. Its probably enough for two people to share and if youre in Ann Arbor, there is no where else to get ice cream in my opinion. I dont think the donuts are that great here but the ice cream alone gets 5 stars from me.

This is hands down our favorite destination for ice cream in Ann Arbor! It looks like an old-fashioned ice cream parlor with friendly staff and huge serving sizes in many delicious flavors. A single scoop here is at least like a double anywhere else! No indoor seating during Covid, but theres plenty of seats outside. The neighborhood is beautiful for a leisurely stroll afterwards too. A much-loved ledendary Ann Arbor institution for all ages!

Wonderful donuts. Slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Toppings(especially icing) are good without being overwhelming.

Their sign said Dairy-free ice cream. It was no where near dairy-free, as soon as my partner took a few mouth fulls he instantly started to feel nauseous and got bloated. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic it was extremely hard to find a bathroom. We had to walk a few blocks down just to find a gas station with a bathroom open and upon arrival started to vomit. Thank you Washtenaw Dairy.
