I went for an eye appointment and told them I needed a PD(pulpillary distance) as soon as I got there.Before meeting the doctor, I reminded the same staff that I needed a PD while they checked up my glasses and vision.After the exam, I realized that the PD information wasnt on the prescription receipt. I asked the front desk why I didnt get it when I kept reminding them I needed one.Although they had ALL the time before the checkout, it was NOW, just when I was about to leave, when they told me I needed to pay an extra fee for the PD, which they didnt even record yet! I was quite angry and speechless at their customer service.

Dr Lutz & his staff are great. Ive seen many different optometrists over the years and this office was hands down the best overall experience Ive had. Front office was nice, assistants were super friendly and the Dr is very personable and knowledgeable. It was my husbands first time to an optometry clinic (and he was a little nervous) and Dr Lutz took the time to explain everything to him, made him comfortable. Will definitely stay with this office!

My daughter absolutely loves Dr. Lutz. Best eye doctors she has ever been to. He is great with her and makes her feel comfortable. The practice is very customer friendly. The staff were friendly, but there was a hard sales pitch to buy more expensive contacts and glasses and sunglasses. There was also pressure to buy right away. I tried out the recommended contacts and didnt like the fit or vision in them. They were willing to swap them for cheaper contacts, but at the same cost of the more expensive ones. After some negotiation they did agree to give me some money back, but overall the sales side of things wasnt any easy or comfortable experience. I dont plan to go back.

My eye examination was very comprehensive. All of my questions were answered. Dr Lutz paid extreme attention to eye issues which could be affected by my type 2 diabetes. My new glasses look great and the quality of the lenses and frames are first class. I highly recommend Dr Lutz and his staff for all of your eye care needs.

Dr. Steven Lutz is the only eye doctor I will trust. Ive tried 2 others during the past 17 years and I come back to him. Even though I have to drive 50 miles or more, hes well worth it. He has a vast amount of knowledge with contacts and with the companies who produce them. He will be the only eye doctor I ever use.

At the the time of scheduling the appointment, I was told they accepted my Insurance, but at the time of checkout, they said they were not in network with my Insurance and needed to pay out of pocket! Wait time was over an hour, and the actual time withDr.Edwards was less than five minutes! Felt super rushed...The front office staff were incompetent to say the least!

I had an excellent experience. Staff were friendly and helpful, and Dr. Lutz offered a detailed and engaging explanation of my test results. I wasnt able to pick new frames today, but was given a copy of my glasses prescription without even having to ask.

The eye doctors and staff are all so knowledgeable and friendly! They have great technology to make sure your eyes are healthy and make sure everything is looking good and working good (without dilation!). I am so happy I made the change last year to a friendly office!

Review is a little long over do but its needed, last we went in earlier this year we had an eye exam and it seemed fine, my husband got lenses/frames there, I just got the exam which ended up having a prescription too high for me. My husband had his glasses messed up 4 times... 4!!! Lenses were not cut right and glasses were off in general which is fixable but why it took 4 times to get it right is beyond me. Not sure how this place gets 5 start reviews. They were not happy to help fix these issues after bringing it the second time especially. I think they kept the glasss there each time doing nothing to them and finally had them fixed right. I had to get another exam for myself elsewhere to ensure I got the right prescription. This could have all been avoided had their jobs been done correctly for us the first time. Not cool when your paying a lot especially

Everyone there was very professional and kind, however I went on a day that was very busy (I overheard them saying on the phone that they were booked solid and that they couldnt take any walk-ins that day), which meant that even though I got there early to fill out paperwork I experienced a few delays in both prescreening and seeing the optician to help me pick out glasses. However throughout all of this everyone was very kind, informative and professional. Dr. Steven Lutz did my eye exam, and though I got the impression that he was rushed (due to being completely booked) he was very informative and took the time to explain everything. And the optician did a great job of helping me choose frames based on what I liked.Overall I thought it was a great office and eye appointment, and Im only lowering it to 4 stars since there were delays since it was very busy I would have given 4.5 stars but that was not an option. I look forward to continuing going back in the coming years.

Dr. Lutz is an expert and duke in the field of Optometry. His staff are professional and courteous. Dr. Lutz examined and analysed my vision better than the Kellogg Eye Center, and I got the best pair of eye glasses made in my life so far. This clinic is phenomenal, you will know that when you arrive at porch.

Let me start by saying Dr. Lutz is great! Ive been seeing him for years, back when he was at Brairwood mall. His staff is mostly friendly!My most recent visit left a bad taste in my mouth. I came in for a eye exam, we agreed over the phone that it was $60, I never said I wanted a contact exam or any extras. I go to pay and theres a extra $80 exam fee! I also wanted a couple contacts (I rarely wear them) and they say sorry you cant get any contacts unless you pay the $80 exam fee!Anyways I hope next visit is better. Be sure to be very clear with what services you want before hand!

Dr Luzt has been my go to for several years now. He has a way to put me at ease for what has traditionally been a stressful process for me.His entire staff has always been professional and friendly. They are equipped with state of the art tools that really impress a geek like me. I always love seeing the HD photos of my retinas!

Both my husband and I trust Dr. Lutz to give us the best eye care. He is very professional and knowledgable. The office can be a bit busy, but that only speaks to the quality of the experience with Dr. Lutz. We wouldnt go anywhere else.

Today my family and I went to this opticians to look at some glasses for my dad. He had gone in the previous day and said the Dr. Lutz was very kind. I am sure this is true but his employees are rude and unkind. My family asked the optician helping us to give us some time to browse, as any customer has the right to do. She proceeded to walk into the open office and talk about us while the other employees looked around and stared at us. If that wasn’t enough she continued to openly talk about us to the other employees while we were in the same room. It was so insufferable we had to leave the store. The employees of this facility should learn some manners and have the common courtesy to not gossip about their customs while in the in the same room. I am disgusted by this service and would give 0 stars if I could. If there is somewhere else you an go then I would avoid this place at all costs.

This is the fourth or fifth visit with Dr. Lutz. My vision care has special needs and as such I have been with an ophthalmologist in the Savannah, GA area for 30+ years. Often the MDs vision Rx is not sufficient. That last 4 or so in particular. Dr. Lutz is very professional and skilled in his prefession. The information he offers and the vision correction he writes is very precise. He is willing to take your feedback and make the smallest possible incremental selections for lenses. Really good stuff!

This office has modern eye exam equipment (e.g., no eye puff machine, didn’t need to dilate my eyes). Staff and optometrist were friendly and professional. Accepted by my VSP insurance as in-network (a rarity).If you’re debating between Lutz and Bennett Optometry because you have VSP, you absolutely *must* choose Lutz. Bennett’s prices are far higher, and the service is far worse. Bennett’s offices also feel several decades out-of-date compared to Lutz.

Told them my insurance and i need glasses only. They said yes we take it. Did an eye exam where Dr Lutzs partner, a younger guy, wouldnt stop hitting on the girl assistant to properly examine me. I asked him to please pay attention and then he was mad and just stopped the exam, which was only 5 minutes long... Went out to pick out new glasses then was told my insurance doesnt cover anything but an exam, which I had to pay out of pocket for. So I wasted a trip and money here. Now they wont release my prescription,thats right, unless I pay more money. My last optometrist sent Dr Lutz my prescription free....

The experience here is very frustrating, though the service is OK. There are many hidden cost here. I just want to get a replacement for my old glasses and they did the contact lenses eye exam for me. This is $100 charge, not covered by most insurance. The glasses are expensive. So I want to go to Costco to get a pair. They dont want to release the Pupillary distance (PD) to me because they said it s only available to those purchased glasses at their store. I wouldnt recommend going here if you have a regular health plan coverage. Out-of-pocket pay will be high.To your reply to my review, I am just reporting what happened to me. I did tell the receptionist I want to do eye exam to get a pair of glasses and I have no idea you will do contact exam until you asked me to try on. You can reply the recording.Whats is even worse, you are breaking The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). The plan info is the patients privacy. As a doctor, you can not reveal my health plan info in public. Please remove the info.

Probably the worst experience I ever had.So I call them to set up an appointment and they told me my appointment was fixed for Tuesday 12/14.I give them my insurance information and everything is good. The next day, a lady called Kim gives me a call saying my insurance cant be verified or something like that. I speak to my insurance company and they told me everything is in order. I call Dr. Steven Lutz & Associates and told them to double check my insurance information again. A few minutes later, they call me back saying my insurance is verified and that Im all set for my appointment on Tuesday.Today, I get another call from this lady, Becky saying that my insurance is not verified and that they have moved my appointment to a week later. I told her I got a call from one of her coworkers (or it might be her) saying that my insurance was verified on Saturday.In short, VERY BAD MANAGEMENT. I dont know how the doctors are, but the people who are at the front desk are very bad at their job. Im highly disappointed.Please check out other places nearby. This is a very sad place.

Dr. Lutz and the workers in this office are friendly and helpful! They make going to the optometrist a pleasant and simple experience. I dont even mind driving to the other side of town for my yearly checkup, even in rush hour. The office is inside LensCrafters inside Briarwood Mall! If you are coming from the outside of the mall, it is on the left side of Von Maur. Park by the side entrance on the left of Von Maur for the shortest walk!
