I told the the barista some qualities I enjoy in different coffees and asked her to surprise me and wow. I was blown away! She made the most amazing surprise beverage I have had yet... an iced dirty cold brew with a splash of oat milk!

I’ve come here twice within the past two months but many times before that. I’ve had good experiences except at this location. The first time I ordered recently, they made the drink wrong. No big deal—it happens. This second time it happened again, and I stood there watching the barista train a new barista on how to make the drink (wrong). Disappointed

Sweetwater has so many delicious drinks, I love stopping here for tea!

Internet connection is wacky constantly. However the staff are super friendly and willing to give you suggestions based on what you want.

Amazing options and can make almost anything vegan. A little pricey though, I could make the stuff at home for way less.

The barista gave me a great suggestion on a cooling summer iced tea! Outside seating is nice but there are only a couple of tables.

A friendly coffee shop near campus, with coffee, sweet drinks, selection of pastries, and food. (I would say the choice is more than Starbucks, I mean they even got mac n cheese wt chicken tender)If you are looking for a place to chat with friends, this is an excellent place to go. If you want to work or study, you can still come; they got a decent amount of power outlets. But I recommend you to go at night since the wifi connection is stronger.

Sweetwaters is a great place to get a decent cup of coffee and have a clean and bright environment to go! One thing I would appreciate more of is bigger macaroons. A plus of this location is that sitting by the door doesnt mean freezing to death.

Fantastic business! They have the best coffee, best staff and awesome pastries and bagels. I recommend the French Vanilla Latte! Alexis is super friendly and makes the best latte art.

I love the atmosphere, staff is always friendly and they do really cool events as well. My favorite go to coffee and occasional treat spot in Ann Arbor. I just found out they rent out space for private parties of 20-30. Such a great alternative to a bar for so many reasons.To the guy who made the crack about the owners being Chinese I’m appalled at your obviously racist comment. I challenge you to move to a country halfway across the world, learn the language so well that you open several business and support your community. Given what has transpired in the Ann Arbor area this week this mindset is so disheartening. Please support your local businesses be it minority, female, male or family owned business ♥️

Stopped in with my 7 year old daughter. I had a vanilla cappuccino and a Joy Nut bar. Both were delicious. My daughter had a hot cocoa and a muffin. Everything tasted good and we were very comfortable having a good conversation.

Sweetwaters Thai Iced Tea is phenomenal! I am currently in love with Thai Iced Tea though Im on a mission to find one without yellow dye 6. I also enjoy so many other drinks that they serve.

The staff is friendly and quick! I never see them not smiling, and they could have five drinks ready in the time Starbucks takes to make one! Furthermore, I have enjoyed their coffee and tea to such a degree that I bought some for home use as well. Do recommend strongly!

It’s not everyday you find a coffee shop you’d write a valentine for, but the incredible staff at Sweetwaters are hard not to love. Jaclyn and Alexis deserve an honorary degree for their latte art. Great selection of delicious drinks and baked goods.

Sweetwaters does a good job of offering quality coffee drinks at fair prices. This particular location feels a little less welcoming than others due to a relatively austere design and slightly exposed layout, but its still good. Plus, if you get a coffee to go here, the Michigan Theater (across the street) lets you bring it inside thanks to their partnership. Handy!

Im a big coffee drinker... well mocha drinker mostly, but I dabble in coffee tea and whatever else has a bit of caffeine. I come here often and am not only a big fan of the great coffee drinks, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I am not a happy person until i get my first coffee in the morning, but when I walk in the staff always puts a smile on my face and gets me ready to face the day. Big thank you to the wonderful staff, I couldnt get through grad school without yall!!!

Perfect drinks and friendly, attentive staff every time. I like sweet dessert coffees and they make them better than Starbucks by miles. I recommend the Thai iced tea, Dreamy cold brew, and Napali blend.

I love this place, they have a wide variety of teas and often a special drink going. I like that they showcase different regions and the drinks are always lovely. Theyve started a new rewards program as well.

Probably my favourite coffee shop in the area. I do wish it was bigger to accommodate demand better. Wait time for drinks is generally low, but seating is generally difficult to find

Horrible coffee and staff. My drink was terrible so I ordered another, paid for it, and then it was given to another customer. When I finally got a drink (not the one I paid for) it was as disappointing as the first. This place reminds me of a worse Starbucks. Perhaps its a good place to study but thats even a stretch. Would not recommend unless you want coffee that tastes like sweet water

Its nice to buy tea and be given a pot and cup to keep refilling with hot water. Unfortunately, its a popular college town spot and youll be extremely lucky to find an open seat.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Ann Arbor. The Dreamy which is a signature drink of theirs (cold brew and a shot of vanilla) is something I always swing by to grab when Im visiting.

I went here looking for a coffee shop, and was really impressed with the shop. I got a Molasses Cookie & a Vanilla Steamer w/ Hazelnut. Great place.

This is odd, but I dont like the ice here. They have different (crushed) ice than all the other Sweetwaters and its not good. The decor is cool but not very homey.

Help the environment!!! Serve cappuccino etc in china cups rather than all the wasted paper cups. It not only taste a lot better, but sets you apart from Starbucks across the street.

I love their beverages especially their iced matcha latte. I come back again and again for it cause its the best Ive ever had in the whole of US! I also love their chocolate cake which I must say is a sin to have. It is so damn delicious that I have to forego my diet every time I come here! Alao, its a decent place to sit for hours together and work. Their internet speed is pretty fast. Theres no doubt of giving them a 5 on 5!

Its hard to rate a cafe this nice. First thing -overall appearance_ very cosy very hip and clean. There were a lot of people_ but 65 percent of them had either been there for a few hours already_ I understand its a student town, and people like to work and study in hip places. BUT we were just enjoying AA for the day. So we went in to Sweetwaters to warm up from the cold and try this place out. It was my first time at a Sweetwaters location. My fiance and I were in a line, no biggy but there were literally no places for us to sit because the laptop peeps were taking every seat. There should be a laptop to actual customer ratio. We wanted to sit down and enjoy our tea and blonde brownie (which was AMAZEBALLS) we ended up getting a table closest to the loo at the back I didnt even finish my tea because walking in the cold seemed like a better idea. So good luck finding a seat on a SATURDAY.

My go to drink is either the mocha ice dragon, hot vietnamese au lait, or whatever tea they have available. Baristas are incredibly friendly and its a nice place to sit down with a friend or by yourself and enjoy a drink.

Good range of options. Had the homemade ginger ale and it was very good.

Outpost of a local chain of coffee shops. Dozen and a half tables, plus a few comfy chairs. Sleek industrial vibe with a lot of fake wood and veneer. Brightly lit with modern ductwork. Folk rock at reason volume. Several outlets. Free wi-fi with password you ask for. Nice selection of decent quality loose leaf teas, though not a chai, and the chai lattes are Oregon Effluent. They do thai ice tea. Large selection of good pastries. Im giving it a 3 because, despite the positives, the place is kinda sterile and just screams I wanna be a national franchise.
