York has an excellent outside dining area! Two large tents (covered roof, 2 sides open) with patio heaters and about four 4-top tables in each. Also, there are also about 10 additional seating areas completely open to the elements, several with fire pits. Enjoyed lunch here with my husband and 3 year old and even though it was 24 degrees and snowing we were toasty.
My wife and I visit coffee shops in the area. In the notes of our phone we reviewed over 20+ places over the last two months. This is the first time we’ve given our experience 1/10. This rating is a result of quality and service. We do not recommend and we won’t be coming back.

What a great little oasis on Packard! Its behind where the Big Ten party store used to be. Outdoor dining, patio lights, and lots of dogs running around. Loved the vibe. I ordered pizza to go and was bummed that I didnt stay! Haha pizza was good, totally worth trying! Would come here again.
Came here after finding this place on Instagram. I came looking for wine which i get to down below. They have a deli and coffee shop in one part and a wine section in the back. There’s also an outdoor beer garden on the side.A small drawback is that there’s not ample parking in front of the building.I don’t claim to be all knowing when it comes to wine types and flavors so usually I need some help. I walked around for about five minutes with no one else in the area before I asked for help. Ellen helped me and she was very knowledgeable and didn’t overwhelm me with choices.
First time ever visiting after it became a fancy liquor store. Never going back, after having to witness some of the most inappropriate and unprofessional behavior from an owner. They weren’t even there but made their presence known, when our friend got texted from an employee there, to leave. This was after we all had bought food and drinks and were actually enjoying ourselves after a long day of work together. The fact the you as an establishment let childish people díctate who can be there is beyond immature.We are not in high school anymore, grow up. If you have a problem with someone in your establishment be an adult and tell them to your face. We all left with said person by the way. Last time I spend any money here. Glad, that your staff overheard them saying some important facts about said staff members.
I love this place for so many reasons. I love the simplicity of design, minimalistic ambience.ove the diverse menu with affordable prices (please dont change them!!). I love super delicious coffee and cookies. I love seeing the crowd, diverse community. I love cheese and wine :) this spot is my favorite in Ann Arbor
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good food and drinks. I’ve been here a couple of times with friends and our kids under 2 and I’ve never had a bad experience.

York has one of the best outdoor patios with lots of distance between picnic benches/tables, fire pits and gas heaters. Their cheese and sandwich selections are great. The perfect place to hang out outdoors, even in the Michigan winters. Staff are very nice and will make your fire for you.

I guess many people will enjoy the atmosphere and the food, but for me it was only the food. Nothing wrong with York, I am just not the type who will like such establishments.

I had a take-out from this place. Their outdoor patio is something that seems really cozy and cute-sie. I really loved the Caprese Baguette and Comte and Tomato Baguette. The cheese was excellent. The pesto sauce was simply brilliant. I would 100% recommend this place.
I love their standard offerings, but especially the fun pop-ups they host.
Don’t miss a chance to try JUICY OISTRE when they set up shop at York. Arrive early, grab a drink inside and keep an eye out for the line that will inevitably form. Super fresh oysters—as good as anything you’ll find on the west coast— and effing amazing oyster pate. Grilled, smoked, raw, dressed up, they do it all. Fabulosity.
When you first walk in you may be surprised to not only to be greeted by a wall of world wine selections and artisan cheeses and meats, but a cafe / delicatessen shop as well. Though the prices vary, it is an experience. The coffee is rich and the food a splendor in flavor.Probably the best sandwiches and coffee in town to be honest, though I do hear quite a bit about food being handled improperly. But, I have not experienced so thus far.
Great. One suggestion: please put signs up saying outside chairs are community for everyone, not exclusive for just two sitting around the fire with 2-3 other empty chairs. I was alone and asked two ladies if I could sit across from them and warm up. They hesitated and looked to other tables/bonfires as though the fire and all other chairs belonged to them! Their unfriendly and cocky reaction made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed.

The Serrano ham sandwich brought me right back to traveling in Portugal and Spain. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food brought back the best memories. Haven’t had a sandwich like that in the states

Great gourmet cheeses and sandwiches, Ricewood Barbecue inside is incredible, Bad Boys Asian street food in the Yard, regular, unique popups in the parking lot by locals. Open outside throughout the winter with the tables, chairs and firepits.
My first visit and I ordered a custom deli tray for fathers day. They did an amazing job selecting items with not a lot of input from me - everything was delicious, fresh, and perfect. Super happy with the order, will return again and again!

This place was amazing! We had a large scale event there which was the absolute perfect setting! The outdoor area is charming and the fire pit was just awesome! When it got cold, we moved indoors and the service continues to be impeccable! I highly recommend this venue for any type of event or just a bit of time in a relaxing place!!

I cannot say enough good things about Morgan & York and the owner, Tommy! My organization held an event with 50 people at Morgan & York and everything was handled perfectly. The staff was extremely knowledgeable on wine & food choices for our guests and set up a great flow for the event space. They were on hand whenever I needed anything and the answer was always YES! I wouldnt hesitate to have another event here.
Great outside area/food. Weak sauvignon blanc pours didn’t feel I got my value at all. What appeared to be the owner however when looking over had a plenty pour, seems to be some biased potentially in what’s given to customers. My guest and I decided to leave as we weren’t sure what the next pour would look like. ( oct 21st evening)
Morgan & York was the perfect venue for our 20-year graduate school reunion. They made an amazing weekend event even more special -- great space, attentive and helpful staff, lots of easy parking, outdoor fire pit and seating was incredible! Well be back and highly recommend for anyone planning a group event.

EDIT 12/19: Now that construction is done, the atmosphere is indeed much more pleasant. Id knock off half a star for the lack of accessible power outlets, but this is now my work spot of choice when Im in town.Food and drinks are a little pricey, but high quality. Atmosphere would be pleasant if not for the perpetual construction. There always seems to be some comically loud banging, sawing or scraping coming from the back. If you like earsplitting noise, youll love Morgan & York. Otherwise, head to a highway overpass and soak up the relative peace and quiet.
Great place for meetings and to work remotely! The chairs are old library chairs and are so comfortable. The food is fantastic and the people are so friendly and helpful. Especially Tommy York!
Maybe try to change your website Or google listing regarding the kitchen closing at 630pm instead of 7pm during Covid19 Shut downs. It can save people time while trying to find places that are happy and willing to serve them during this epidemic.
Morgan & York is a fantastic shop! They have unique, great quality food and drink. They are also so kind and willing to let you try different cheese & deli meat options to make sure you purchase the right kind for you. I have loved all of my experiences here and will continue to come back and tell my friends to join me.
Nice setting. Under construction but not noisy or dirty at all. The quality of the prosciutto and cheese was excellent. I got a sandwich and that was expertly and carefully made too. The prices seem a little high, but the quality of the food seemed truly about as good as they could find. The service was also really attentive, efficient and acurate. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable.
They did a great job remodeling and opening up the seating area. Great coffee, food, and wine!

The deli counter is wonderful, with a variety of tasty treats that are hard to find anywhere else in town. The coffee is also very good-they make great espresso. They get great pastries from down the road and it makes for a great breakfast on the run. However, only the back door is open early in the morning!The liquor portion of the store has a wide selection, and generally good service. I have had one experience where I was ignored by the staff at the liquor counter, which resulted in me leaving to purchase 400$ of scotch down the road.

Great shop, excellent wine selection and some hard-to-find foods. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. However, not a 5-star rating because there are absolutely no electrical plugs anywhere in the sitting area, so doing any work there on a computer is near impossible.
Cool place, lots of local flavors
Was part of a campaign coffee hour here, the staff was excellent and made sure we were taken care of. This is one of the only coffee shops in all of Ann Arbor that is readily available for a large group. Highly recommended!
Charming delicatessen with a fantastic assortment of wine, cheese, and meats. Great spot for a quick sandwich or coffee. Caprese sandwich is delicious, highly recommend. Also- quiet and spacious enough to hunker down and study/work. Will be returning.
My partner usually orders sandwiches and will bring home tasso ham when they have it in stock. (Any sandwich has been absolutely delicious) I visited M&Y myself for the first time Saturday and Dylan was extremely knowledgeable about everything behind the case. He was very patient with us as we picked out 5 different cold cuts, excellent suggestions on thicknesses for our preferred texture. His suggestions and recommended pairings we’re on point. The molded genoa was highly recommended for its nutty mushroom flavor and it’s now became a new favorite in our house hold.

A great stop for artisan-grade delights. They have patiently helped me develop my palate for cheese and wine. If old-world sophistication and class are an allure for you, then this is your stop.

The flavor combinations presented on these sandwiches are amazing. Do yourself a favor and order from the sandwich menu rather than trying to invent your own sandwich. While the excellent ingredient quality no doubt contributes to the sandwich experience, I believe it is the carefully crafted combination of flavors that really makes Morgan & York something special.Morgan & York is primarily a store, but it has a number of small tables and is a delightful lunch stop. We have occasionally bought sandwiches to go, but the ambiance eating in the store itself is very nice.
Fantastic selection of artisan foods. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will happily take time to assist in picking out a wine or sampling their excellent cheeses while suggesting the perfect paring. Theres no reason to go anywhere else in the city to get wine and cheese.
What a hospitable group of people with delicious food and coffee. I love avocado toast for breakfast and the bread was superb, the butter was a great over the top touch and the chocolate thingie we added later was icing on the proverbial cake. We sat for quite a while in conversation with no urging or nudging us on our way.

A great local shop that features coffee, espresso drinks and breakfast options like pastries as well as lunch items like sandwiches. They started out of as a wine shop with cheese and meats for sale as well, and these items are still available. The shop now features the option of enjoying wine onsite with a recorking fee option. I have enjoyed all the items I have had here and it is my go to place to pick up a baguette.

Great store with large selection of high quality goodies. It is a gourmet food store specializing in wine and cheese. They carry excellent olive oil in bulk. My favorite is the Greek olive oil and its priced reasonably compared to their other selections.

I ordered a tuna sandwich to go. I should have checked it out before I left. I couldnt believe I paid almost $13 for such a tiny sandwich. I feel insulted. I will never eat there again and will loudly let my friends know what a rip off it was. I suppose Yuppies are so gullable theyll spend money just for the thought that something is special about the tuna. Had I known they were gonna steal money from me I never would have stepped through the doors.Update 2/122019I recieved an email to offer a refund and replacement sandwich. I guess they did care for my review. Sorry guys/ladies, that cant change my first impression. Keep your money(or my money rather) and tiny sandwich.

I got to tell you guys here at Morgan & York, especially you owners...Go to Fenton to the Laundry. they started out as a place called The French laundry in Fenton and they were a coffee shop probably the size of the little area up by your front bar and prep station. All they had was a deli, and they serve pretty much just sandwiches.10 bucks or $9 or $8 would get you a gigantic, Im going to be full when I eat this, sandwich. Your $12 sandwich, that I just got was pretty darn good, but you got a double the size on that thing if you want people to come back for it. Theres no way that youre even close to losing money on that little, normal size sandwich that I just got for almost $13.people arent going to complain about it theyre just going to feel ripped off and then theyre going to quietly leave and not come back for your food. So if youre trying to make a statement by charging $12 for that sandwich, do it, but make a statement when the food comes out too and make me feel like I just got my $12 worth. Because at this point, I was actually thinking about getting a beer too but I was so underwhelmed by the value of the sandwich that I got I had second thoughts.feel free to let me know when you decide to improve upon your sandwich a bit and Ill stop back by and check it out. I even had my phone out and everything to take a picture, but the sandwich was so meh that I didnt bother. Like I said, it was good, but I could do just as well at homewithout much effort, and if I were to spend $12 I would be able to make about 10 of the sandwiches that I got from you.put it into perspective, I can get some of the best burgers on Earth for less than $12. Fantastic selection of fine wines and cordials including hard to find stuff, like Advocat. We hosted Dutch exchange students and this was their fav stop to get Dutch candy, which is impossible to find and expensive to ship. There are weekly wine tastings, a deli in the back and delicious samdwiches. Omigod the sandwiches.
