The people here really seem to know their stuff. I picked up a radio for my truck and had them install it with the maestro connectors. They fit the USB cable in where I asked replacing one of the cigarette lighter ports in the truck. They also soldered the connectors into the OBD2 so I could monitor my truck from the radio. Ill also be heading here to pick up a tonneau cover as they carry 4 brands of tonneau here as well.Would recommend to anyone looking to get their stereo installed, way more knowledgeable and capable than best buy!

I talked to Phil, I wanted them to install LED headlamps, taillights and side marker lights (tied to my turn signal) on my Honda Civic. I told them I had a budget for 4 hours based on the price per hour that they were charging. He wasn’t sure that he could get it all done in that amount of time in which case I told him that the most important parts were the headlamps and side marker lights. They called me letting me know that everything would be done in 4.5 hours and would only charge me for 4 hours! They did a great job with the installation. I would recommend them for sure.

Knowledgeable and although pricy, its done correctly the FIRST time around. You get the service and quality you pay for and that is whats paramount. 4 or 5 cars in and this is the only place I utilize for aftermarket installs! Phil and his team are great, your vehicle is in great hands.

I bought a brand new Subaru Forester from a dealer in AZ, but they installed an aftermarket car alarm. I never activated the alarm, but it was giving me issues, so I wanted to take it out. No mechanic was willing to touch it around Ann Arbor, but Mr. Tunes said they would take a look. Showed up at my appointment time, and within the specified time, they removed the alarm and that fixed all my problems. They were friendly, and they repaired all the wires like new. I was very happy with the service and quality of work completed. When I upgrade my speakers, I will definitely come back.

WooHoo! Hooked up properly for my weekend trip. In and out and treated right! Being the DIY’r that I am I wanted to attempt to hook it up myself. Well I had a part that grounded out. Mr.Tunes had it stock and now I’m rocking again! 100% satisfied.

The guy attending was very rude because I showed up late to the appointment. I asked him if they could still put the alarm. His answer was that he was going to take several hours to put the alarm and couldnt get the work finished the same day.This was an alarm that I had installed previously (here as well) just in another car and it just took like an hour. Plus they were saying that because the several hours to install this system, the labor was going to be around $400. With all due respect this is a joke. When I bought this alarm it cost me $1000 (including installation). Its hard to believe that they are trying to charge me 400 just for reinstall the same system but in a different car. Very disappointed experience12/14: Regarding your reply:1) I arrive late, as I explained before. And you said that you need me to leave the car the whole weekend if I wanted the alarm installed. After you explained why it would take so long I told you that I just wanted the ON-OFF switch installed if that would take less time.Again, last time you put the ON-OFF switch, tilt sensors, shock sensors and battery in 1hour.2) you didnt have to remove anything from a car. I showed up with the alarm already uninstalled. Again, my final request was to put the ON-OFF switch which to me, the $400 that you were asking for seemed unreasonable. You can argue that previously installation was included, but $400 just to install an ON-OFF switch? and that would take you 6 hours? Your answer was that it was going to take you many hours because the alarm was already wired and you have to re-cut wires. The car I wanted to get the alarm installed was an smaller car compared to the one I brought before. You can argue that it doesnt matter, but the fact that you were just bringing more arguments to say it was going to take you long hours without even checking my request makes me think you didnt want to do anything at all. I keep my opinion, and next time, please post all the story not only the information that is convenient for you.

They installed a remote start in my moms car a couple of months ago. It works perfectly, and they could not have been more friendly and patient.

I just picked up my car, the incredible folks at Mr. Tunes installed a touch screen radio and it is FANTASTIC. This is at least the fourth car Ive brought to these guys and they always (and I mean ALWAYS) have provided excellent service. These guys are so incredibly knowledgeable about cars, their products and how to integrate them together. Ive installed radios, aux inputs, and my personal favorite. . . remote start. This is the third car Ive done that with, it is worth every penny. If youve been wondering where to go (because we are ALL sick of Best Buy), Mr. Tunes in Ann Arbor is the place. Dont think twice, just do it. They guarantee their work but I have never had a reason to bring anything back. Go for it.

Update: They replied to this review ONE YEAR LATER. They simply do not care...I wanted to have them test my car audio system and simply asked what they would do in detail about the test. They became super triggered and asked me out. I politely asked them why and guess what? They were afraid that I would be able to do it myself at home! How simple and unconvincing would their test be if Im able to do it at home after knowing what they will do? In this logic, car washes shouldnt post what they spray on your car, and food shouldnt list its ingredients because what if you do it at home, huh? I guess they indeed dont do high-level jobs given that they messed up somebodys $2500 system. Check out Jons review one week ago.

Always going the extra mile

I had a pretty awful experience with Mr. Tunes and wanted to let people know to just be careful with these guys. I ordered an auto-dimming rear view mirror that I thought I wanted installed on my car. After it came in I decided that I did not want to have it installed and I was stuck with the mirror. They would not take it back as a return even though it was brand new and never opened.I held onto it for about a year and through my wife could have it installed on her new car. Unfortunately, it wasnt the right mirror and we would have needed to buy another part to make it work. She was told that since it was more than 30 days since it was purchased, that it couldnt be returned. In fact, they never accepted the return, even in the first 30 seconds after purchase, let alone first 30 days.Its sad to see local stores losing out to the Amazons of the world and now I know why. I wanted to give my business to a local owner and now I know that I should have just purchased through Amazon in the first place. Guess I learned an expensive lesson and I hope you learn one for much cheaper.

I have been a custo.er of mr tunes for many years I just recently had a stereo put in my sons truck and my daughters car for xmas. They got them both in in a timely matter and did an excellent job on both vehicles, I always go to them for my audio needs great group of guys

Really solid work. They installed a brand new touchscreen radio with backup camera and a usb plug (for Android Auto) that is flush with the dash. Looks awesome. Very quick service. A bit pricey which is why this isnt a 5 star. If give it 4.5 if I could.

I have worked with many aftermarket audio shops and have had horrible customer service experience. This includes best buy. When I came in to Mr. Tunes, I talked to a really nice guy named Phil. All I needed was a sub for my stock radio. This was not going to be much profit for them. But, they treated me as if I was getting a full makeover for my car. If you are looking for good customer service and honest work, I would reccomend Mr. Tunes of Ann Arbor.

I drove up from Texas to visit a friend in Ann Arbor. Drove the whole way with only right side sound in my car. Its been that way forever. I decided that I had enough, and was going fix my system while here on my visit. I dropped my car off at Mr. Tunes, but before I could leave the parking lot they flagged me down, brought me back in, and showed me the problem. Although my fader slide control was quite obvious, the balance adjustment was quite hard to figure out. Turns out the balance was all to the right. Now, they could have sold me a new stereo; or a new set of speakers. I was prepared to spend 800-1,000 to get it fixed. I would have never known the difference. But these guys are honest. You dont find that too often anymore. If I had a stereo product or problem, Id definitely come here. TRUST these guys. They deserve your business. When I find someone I can trust, I use them. If Mr. Tunes sold milk, Id buy it from them!

Ive had two pretty bad experiences with these guys. I first went to them when I had an issue with my sound system where the head unit would remain on after taking the keys out of the ignition. This killed my cars battery several times and caused me a lot of grief. The problem seemed pretty easily diagnosable, and all sources I could find as well as the techs back home said it was likely a problem with the remote lead in my head unit. I brought this to their attention, but they seemed rather indifferent to my proposal. They simply hawked me a new amplifier and hooked it up straight to the battery, rather than wiring it to my head unit as the old techs had.Surprise, surprise, wiring it this way eventually drained and killed my new battery. I went back to explicitly ask them to wire the amplifier to the head unit rather than the battery, and instead was given the run around. This is just lazy work, its like these guys dont want to make money.

Phil (Bill?) I can never remember if its Phi or Bill. Anyway... dude is awesome. Tells you straight up everything that will be included. No hidden bs. If its a 2 hour job and it takes 3 hours, he doesnt charge you for the extra time. Knows what sounds good and what goes together. Will use your equipment if you want or sell you something really nice.I did full car audio (2 amps, subs, speakers, sound processor), dynamat, and tint. I would spend more money there if I could figure out how to but I fear I have dumped everything into my little car that I can think to.Fast forward a few years later. Stereo was on the fritz. Brought it in fearing that my processor might be toast, a thousand dollar replacement. Found out it was a fuse box. I wasnt charged for the labor since they did the initial install. Walked out for 52 bucks. Cant praise this place enough.

I had two vehicles worked on here, and both times everything was done exactly as described. Not only was the work done well, it was done promptly. Staff was very friendly and made the experience a breeze.
