I have now had two fittings with Jess. She is great at what she does. My first bike fit I went in and she made adjustments to my cleats, seat height, fore/aft, stem in a more aggressive position, and gave me arch support insoles. Before seeing her I would get back pain about an hour or an hour and half into a ride. The day after I went for a ride and felt so good that I kept going and ended completing my longest ride ever (158 miles). After this ride I felt better than if I went for a 30 mile ride before getting the fitting.Jess is great to work. She is very friendly, knowledgeable, and explains everything to you as she goes along.I have recommended her to multiple people and everyone I sent was extremely please with their results as well. This is one of the best investments you can make if you are into cycling. I highly recommend her to anyone, and will be going back when I get a new bike.

Jessica is the best of all worlds; extremely thorough and knowledgeable while also very personable, pleasant and pretty funny, too. She does not try to upsell anything ( and there is a great deal of that which could occur in the custom bike world) unless she really feels it would benefit your particular situation. Jesss bike fittings are life-changing. Not an exaggeration. She has fitted me for my tri roadbike twice. She is insanely qualified, creative, patient and takes great pride in getting you a perfect fit, making sure you are comfortable and effective, whatever that takes. She listens without judgement or jumping to conclusions. I can tell her i know this is weird but.. and she listens with empathy and wont stop tweaking things til she makes it right. I suffered from severe SI joint pain and long rides were excruciating.My Dr sent me to Physical Therapy, then two rounds of SI Joint injections at a pain clinic. I saw Jess - she said Youre crooked. Your pelvis is twisted, crooked and youre all out of alignment, thats the root of your problem. I went straight to a chiro who confirmed with Xrays I was a twisted crooked mess and one leg was nearly an inch shorter because of it. I learned stretches and worked with my chiro and within months I was pain-free for the first time in years. JESS - MY BIKE FITTER EXTRAORDINAIRE - FIGURED OUT WHAT DOCTORS COULD NOT! I finished my first Ironman 70.3 in September 2021, and I couldnt have done it without Jesss amazing fit skills. Forever grateful.

I just got back from a bikepacking trip across Michigan (Ann Arbor to South haven) and have never felt better! What a great experience! A few changes (mm) to the seat, handlebars, seat position and height, along with extensions on the petals made a world of difference. Jess explains what she is looking for, what it effects, and what she can do to correct. A few hours of questions/answers, computer program data entry/retrieval, laser testing/adjustments, and my ride is so much more comfortable and efficient.

I’ve had two bike fits with Jess, for my triathlon bike. I drive to Ann Arbor from Lansing for my bike fit because Jess is worth the drive. She is simply the best at her trade with up to date fitting equipment. Jess is very detailed and when leaving her shop, you know you have the perfect fit. She aims to please her customers. I have a new road bike and can’t wait to see Jess to get that bike fit.

I have been super pleased with the bike fitting that Jess has done for me. Not sure if I’d previously left a review, so here goes. A few years back I had a custom road frame made, and worked with the builder for fit. As a sanity check, I also had a local fit by Jess of FitMi. I had never had a bicycle fit previously, and really didn’t know what to expect. Jess set up a trainer bike to mirror the intended new bike, and took many measurements of the position. I left confident the new bike would feel good, and indeed it has. I highly recommend Jess, her service is money well spent. Additionally, Jess is very positive and the session was very fun!

I was getting into longer and longer bike rides, and I was having trouble figuring out what to adjust to make it more comfortable. Jessica totally worked wonders on my existing road bike. When it was time to get a new bike, I went and saw Jessica. She helped me decided between a seven and a waterford, helped design it, worked with the company, and got me an awesome bike. Fantastic experience throughout! Highly recommend!

A couple years ago I was having a lot of trouble finding a saddle that didn’t cause me pain. (A lot of pain) I had bought several without success. I went to Sic Transit and Jessica happened to help me. She listened, took some measurements and showed me why the typical men’s saddle was too narrow for my sit bones. She bolted several saddles to my bike to try. I bought a Brooks that day. I have not had saddle pain since and now know what to look for in a saddle (155mm min width) and how to adjust the angle. (1 degree nose up)Jessica was my savior that day. I really appreciate her knowledge and dedication to good bike fit.

Ive had more than a couple fits in my life, but no one seemed to notice that most standard q-factors are too narrow for me. A pair of spacers and some wider bars later and I am more comfortable than i ever have been. Jessica is super knowledgeable, thurogh, and super friendly.

I used to think foot and knee pain were a normal, unavoidable fact of long bike rides - then, a few years ago, I went to see Jess. Id had a basic fitting (seat/handlebar position) done at a different shop, included as part of a bike purchase, but Jesss approach was just at a whole other level. She ended up suggesting some pretty dramatic changes to my shoes (arch supports, heel wedges, etc.) - they felt weird at first, but after a while I got used to them, and after a longer while I came to a sudden realization that the pain was gone, and my knees no longer felt ... arthritic ... after a hard ride.My only regret is that I didnt go get a fit from Jess sooner! Dont make the same mistake!

I had horrible saddle issues and worried that I would never be able to ride comfortably. I had tried padded shorts and a lot of the other suggestions out there, to no avail. After owning my bike for a few months, I really started to think I got the wrong size. After some looking around everyone recommended FitMi and Jessica. After a bit of analyzing she totally knew what was going on and decided to dial in the bike to actually fit my body. My bike is perfect for me and with a couple of tweaks Jessica had it dialed in and I feel I can ride for many hours. She made sure that my pedal strokes were as efficient as possible and that everything from my seat post height to my stem was exactly where it needed to be. My experience with Jess was really great. She does a very in-depth review of your ride-related physiology before you get on the bike. This allows her to better diagnose any issues she then spots while you are on your bike.In my case, she really improved my saddle, cleats, and handlebars. I thought my bike was pretty good going in but with some issues on longer rides. I was also concerned about balance and control. I’ll have more to say about fatigue on longer rides after tomorrow, but i can promise you that my balance and control issues are really solved. I was so excited by the process that I took a quick spin on the bike right when I got home. My brakes are MUCH MORE reachable (didn’t realize how bad it was), and my balance concerns when taking a hand off the handlebars to signal a turn etc. are much relieved.To be honest, I was unaware of how good it could be, and I thought things were pretty good. If you’re at all serious about your riding, you owe it to yourself to see Jess. Everybody has a unique physiology. Even though your stock bike might be in the right ball park, you will likely be amazed at how much better it can be.

I went to fitmi based off of a recommendation from a fellow cyclist, and got the triple A+ service! Not only was my fit done correctly, she spent extra time with me! I also bought a saddle from the shop per their recommendation, and have been very happy with the comfort of my bike. Jessica was super helpful, very knowledgeable, super kind and didnt treat me like a total noob dolt when I asked questions. She spent time explaining why, and followed it up with helpful videos. I seriously could not recommend her more. Anyone needing bike fitment should get on her books now! Do yourself a favor and make it happen. Jessica helped me with two of my bikes, a road bike and a front suspension mountain bike. I dont clip in to either bike, so I went with the elemental fit for both. What an improvement! I ended up with a properly fit saddle on each bike, properly fit stems for both bikes, and seat post, pedal, handlebar, and other adjustments. Im 66 so its nice to finally feel comfortable while riding. The whole experience was great, and I highly recommend getting a fitting here!

I came to Jessica as a new cyclist with extreme numbness and pain in my hands and wrists. I had tried everything to no avail. I would get 10 miles (or less) into a ride and be numb the rest of the way. This contributed to significant pain in my right wrist and I was beginning to think that cycling wasnt for me, after all. Jessica did her trigonometric magic and made numerous adjustments to both of my bikes (road and gravel with very different geometries). I just completed my first metric century with no numbness. Any pain in my wrist is now merely residual after riding for almost 3 months in the wrong positions. Jessica is a miracle worker. Best money Ive ever spent. I would highly recommend Jessica for a bike fit. She is not only extremely knowledgeable about what the numbers should be but she goes way beyond the numbers to really drill down into specific fit issues. I have been riding and racing for 30 years and have been dealing with hip/IT band issues for the last few years. By slightly shimming my cleats and adding in some arch support, my knees track straighter which should allow my IT band to relax a bit.From the bike purchase (Allied Allroad-excellent bike) to the fit - the total experience was excellent. She is great to work with and really cares about her clients.

I love bicycle-touring but I struggled with knee issues for years on bikes that didnt fit me. Jess worked with me and my budget to custom build a beautiful little Gunner. I have used Fitmi for a bike fitting and this was a great experience. Jessica is located above a very cool bike store, in a very comfortable and attractive space; a nice change from the usual corner of a bike store or more corporate studio. Jessica spent a lot time to understand how different changes to my cleats, shoes, handlebar position and so on, would make a difference to my comfort. For example, small adjustments were tried there, before making anything permanent. I have used other fit services, but Jessica pays most attention to detail with great results.

I went to Jessica for some anterior knee pain, sore wrists, and tightness in my right lower back. Jessica spent 2 hours with me working through each problem. She was thorough, personable, affordable, and most importantly knowledgeable! Two days later I participated in the triple trail challenge mountain bike ride (48 miles) and finished with NO pains other than general fatigue! Had my first pro road bike set up ever with Jessica. Cant say enough positive things about the experience. All questioned were answered in detail. She has a passion for her work. Worth every penny.

Amazing...I cant believe how much more comfortable I am and how much more efficient energy tranfers from my legs directly to the bikes drivetrain, due to the tailored adjustments Fitmi made to my shoes and saddle on my new gravel bike. Jessica fit me and knows her craft well. Initially I had scheduled with another bike shop but glad I cancelled and made the wait for Fitmi. Highly recommend to any cyclist who needs any degree of fit to their bike. This is their specialty and business is driven primarily by being an expert in this space, not by selling bikes or accessories as you might find elsewhere.

Jessica is professional, friendly, and very helpful. I was riding with loads of pain that shifted between knees, lower back, and hamstrings. After her fit I ride pain free in those areas. Then I developed an elbow pain and she met with me again and did another bike adjustment. If you want to ride longer...with more power...and less pain...contact Jessica.

Got a bike fit with Jessica about a month ago now and after a couple of rides, the difference is extraordinary. I was suffering from knee discomfort after 20-30 mile rides. I just rode a local event that was 58 miles and felt great after the ride. This is something I definitely wish I had gotten done sooner. Jessica has an engaging personality and a ton of bicycle experience. I recommend her to all my cycling friends and others I meet at events. Ive had Jess fit me on three different bikes on two different occasions and the results are immediately noticeable. I am very much a do-it-yourself kind of guy but clipless cleat position has always stumped me. After getting those adjusted, my knee pain is gone, my heels and knees dont flail all over the place as I pedal, and (most importantly) my average speed on the usual routes I ride increased by 1 - 1.5 mph overnight!Jess is also very relaxed and doesnt push accessories or modify your bike in ways that youre not cool with (these were my primary worries going into the fitting).

Wow! Jessica really knows what she is doing. She takes her time to get everything right. I have never felt so comfortable on my bike. I love my bike again!! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants the best bike fit ever!!

I waited most of a year to write this review because I wanted to see how well the fitting actually worked. The answer: great. I rode the 150-mile ODRAM in the rain and the importance of the fit for my shoes was obvious--no rubbing because the back of my foot wasnt moving with respect to the shoe.I did find I had to raise the seat about 3mm from where she had it. That made a big difference (really). Everything else was perfect.

I had the most amazing experience with Jess fitting my bike. I knew I wanted to get fit before doing the Traverse City Ironman 70.3. So many friends had suggested Jess and now I know why. I came in and she did a great job explaining what she was doing and why. I left the shop and immediately gained an extra mile per hour. Not only that, but I just felt more comfortable and safe on my bike.Then disaster struck, a crack was found in my frame (most likely due to the manufacturer design). Suddenly less than 3 weeks before my first half Ironman I didnt have a bike at all. A friend loaned me a bike and when I reached out to Jess just to see if any of the dimensions would help me set up this loaner bike, she took customer service to a level I havent seen in nearly any business. I dropped off the bike and she set it up as close to the fit of the original as possible. After she was done with it, I really couldnt feel a difference from my own bike. The hills and headwind at IMTC 70.3 was rough, but I exceeded my expectations on the course. Thanks Jess Ill definitely be coming in when I get my next bike.

Jessica was amazing and I would absolutely recommend her to everyone. You can really tell that she actually cares about her work and helping you out. She will not try to sell you unnecessary parts and makes the experience actually really fun. I got my fitting done a couple days ago, but have already ridden 100 miles since then and it feels extremely better.Update:Before her fitting I was having a lot of knee pain. I just finished a cross country cycling trip of 3900 miles and did not experience any pain the entire time. She made it super easy for me to put my bike back together to the proper measurements, after shipping. I definitely still recommend Jessica!

Visited about a month ago. Jess really improved my position on the bike. I feel much more comfortable using the entire handlebar, and I seem to be able to move faster. I should have done this years ago - its really worth it. (I did the full package, with clipless shoes and all.) Thanks Jess!

Jess is extremely knowledgeable in every facet of cycling. She is fun to work with and has a great personality. Her knowledge of physiology and how that relates to cycling is second to none. She did the fitting for my first serious bike — a Specialized Roubaix. I have ridden over 27,000 miles on that bike.I was very happy when I found out a few years ago that Jess had opened Fitmi and was a Seven dealer. So when it came time to buy my dream bike — a Seven Axiom SL — I knew exactly who I would work with. She gave me lots of expert advice, and when it came time to make choices she made very good recommendations. The fit was not only based on my current requirements, but also my future needs. I will be able to ride this bike for the rest of my life.Jess is very easy to work with. She responded to any questions in a timely manner. I never had to get in touch with her twice to ask the same question. She was very patient and understanding.
