I really liked this place, but my last experience was pretty yuck. I was told for weeks by people that worked there that there was going to be an awesome Labor Day weekend sale…. That was not the case. Fabrics normally 12.99 were on sale for 9.99 which isn’t even as good as a normal weekend sale price… most of the store was like that. Then, I gave them my email… showed them the coupon on my phone, because in spite of having had that email in Joann’s system for over a decade… and showing it logged into my Joann account on my phone, they said they needed a “new” email address… nope…. Ended up spending way too much. Not worth the drive. Then she printed out coupons after…. I won’t be back any time soon.It’s just very lame that they couldn’t even honor the coupon price when I’m literally showing her a coupon on my phone…. It was a very weird interaction.Also, I had my six-year old with me… they wouldn’t let him use the potty… told us to use the pet store next door, and those restrooms apparently hadn’t been available to the public in ages, so another waste of time. I don’t care if it’s a pandemic…. A masked child should be allowed to use the restroom at any store…, it’s pretty effed up to not allow that.

The workers are very nice and helpful, its easy to find the things youre looking for and there are many options of fabric to choose from. Over all a great place for crafts and sewing projects

I am making a christening gown. I had trouble getting help for how much fabric to buy. I showed them the pattern and they told me to read the package. She was going to cut expensive fabric when it was bunched up and I had to tell her to lay it flat. This girl with blue hair asked me if my baby was my first grand child! I had on a mask and a full length dress, not much of me could be seen. I was with my parents and I am not grey and wrinkled. I said she is my baby and I am not old enough for grandchildren. She did not apologize or seem phased. I guess she thinks only old women sew. The help at the Oak Valley location just gets ruder and more incompetent every time I go there. If there was another fabric store I would never go there again.

I made an appointment by phone and was given an hour to shop. Staff wore face shields or masks. The store was marked for 6 ft social distancing as well as directional isles. I was assisted with finding the items I came for and also got some free fabric for the masks I sew. My coupons were honored and everyone was courteous and helpful. I was in and out of the store in 12 minutes and had everything I came for. You can also order online and do curbside pickup.

More employees than customers present yet no employees willing to help me look for what i wanted. They pointed me to an empty section and never followed up to see if i was in the right place. Maybe they are not allowed to stray from their stations? As a sporadic customer, i needed help navigating the store and received minimal directions from employees otherwise unoccupied.

Fully stocked 4 gifter/crafters. A little tight in isles because of stock so go slow be prepaired to take your time. Staff helpful,sparse,and trying to meet our needs. They do take orders though i have not tryed that in Ann Arbor i was very successful at the Brighton location.

Wow!!!! I made an online order and my husband just went to pick up for me using curbside pickup. He took our daughters with him so they could at least go for a car ride. They brought the order out to the car, and gave them a little goody bag. They gave my daughters a super nice bag filled with Easter goodies, they were so excited. Thank You for making my daughters day a lot brighter.

I dont usually shop this store, as I live closer to the Carpenter location. But I did a free in store pick up order here, on a Saturday, that I needed less than 2 hours after placing it (last minute gifts). I was kinda pushy and called before I got the order ready email to check on it. The woman on the phone was so sweet and professional, checked and told me it was almost ready, and to come on in. When we arrived, there was a special parking spot for pick ups, and I was in and out in under 5 minutes. Everyone was so smiley and friendly! I might start driving they few extra miles to this location - very impressed with the customer service!

It doesnt matter if youre a seamstress, floral designer, artist, scrapbook enthusiast, jewelry maker, or just looking for frames or home decorations this is a great place to find what youre looking for. Its a busy place but the staff thats there are knowledgeable and compassionate. Easy to locate with adequate parking. Great sales! Well worth your time!

For sewing, this store is where I go in AA. Well lit, well staffed, and overall, good experience.

My wife and I go to JoAnns a lot. Its our go-to place for sewing, knitting, and other craft supplies. This location has always been great, having what we need. One thing I would say as a knitter, is that their selection of natural fiber yarns is small. If you want go knit in acrylic you will do well here, but if you want to work in cotton or wool you will probably have go look elsewhere.

So many craft items and fabrics!

Purchased an instore pickup order online. Upon reaching the store they told me the order would at least take another hour to be processed by their computer system. After waiting an hour in area, because I live an hour+ drive away, I went inside and was not only told that the item never processed, and they were out of stock anyway. Complete waste of time driving around for a product I already paid for, that they told me they had 6 of in inventory.

Going into this store always feels like Im going back to the 1950s. Im always thinking, People still make their own clothes?! They didnt have the patches I needed. But the staff was helpful.

I have been to many joanns across the country. This one is insane. Triple check k your receipt EVERY time.they leave up old sale signs and dont always ring up current sales. They have over charged me countless times. Drive the extra distance for a better selections and experience.

Love this Joanns. Nice and helpful workers. Always clean. As a disabled person I am able to go here as it does have a electric scooter!! This is the only craft store in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti area that I know of that has this.Good Job Joanns! Ive spent alot of money in your store due to this!

I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. I normally come here with my two children which can be somewhat challenging. They have carts where my one daughter rides however, the isles are so narrow that my 18 month old can reach the shelves on either side - it is definitely not accessible with a stroller. They always have good prices and make sure to download the app for the best coupons.

Friendly staff. Everyone had PPE. Wasnt too crowded. I got almost everything I was looking for.

I needed to get foam for crutches to make them comfortable! My friend slipped on the ice and broke her ankle and fibula. The staff at Joanns Fabric were so helpful. My friend is much more happy now that the crutches arent so hurtful to use! ❤️🌟

Its a smaller Joanns, doesnt have as much selection. But the staff have been awesome; theyre good with online orders and fantastic with questions and helping you find coupons. Its also much, much easier to search than the larger stores. No public restroom, youll need to use the ones in Target or the pet store next door

Great place! They have such cool stuff. I wish they would update their computer system and get a quantity key, so they dont have to scan every single sheet of cardstock individually.

If you need any art / crafts / hobby supplies, this is the neighborhood store you would want to visit. Prices range is moderate to expensive so do your homework before visiting the shop. Well maintained clean and organized store. Associates are helpful but always busy. If you need some fabric to be trimmed / cut, expect longer wait times. Check out is convenient, ample parking, easy access from Carpenter road or oak valley dr. Its located near Target .

The staff is great, but the store needs to be updated and carry more variety. It is not as big as other JoAnns, but it has room for a better selection. More then enough shoppers to support this. They run out of basics like tacky glue and crafting supplies like sequins and crystals. Sorry, I love JoAnns, but this store needs love and merchandise.

Great store if youre looking for sewing supplies, but otherwise things were pretty limited. I was hoping for drawing/painting supplies and couldnt really find much at all. They did have a TON of fabrics and sewing items, so I would classify this one as much more fabric than craft. Staff were very friendly!

Great fabric and craft store. Tons of fabric to choose from, as well as any embellishments you might need. Large floral section as well as jewelery making and scrap booking supplies. Theres also a huge seasonal section and lot of home decor. There are almost always sales going on and coupons available on the website as well.

Joann is a top-notch crafting store. They have fabric, threads, general crafts and everything you need for your home products.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great variety of fabrics and crafts. The coupons are great to save extra money, you just need to know how to use them. You can also purchase gifts. I love their scent warmers!

Very friendly and helpful staff. I have been there when the place was packed and they provide quick fabric cutting time. They pull cashiers to cut fabrics, so I have had to wait in a long line to pay. I suggest going in a weekday, not the weekend.

This store has everything youd find at a larger location, usually just less quantity. I personally like the retro feel if the store. Reminds me of shopping with my mom before I was a mom myself. And, even though this location has one cash register, the lines here move faster than other locations Ive been to. And, the line area isnt a barricaded section filled with all sorts of things I dont need or want.

I went to Joann Fabrics for some polyester filling and when I was walking around the store I couldnt help but notice all of the sales. Once I found the filling it was all forty percent off. Being so happy with the deal I bought two bags.

It is a very helpful store with a great inventory. You just need to hunt down staffers when you need help. And that is a bit of a problem. As well as checking out can take a veryyyyyyyy lonnnnnnnng time. So 4 stars.

The staff here is so helpful! I needed help in figuring out how much fake fur I needed to finish up my granddaughters Cat in the hat costume. Not only did they help with that they also gave me tips in cutting the fur and attaching it!❤

Great job but shockingly expensive, even with the coupon. A poster-sized piece of artwork cost $350 with a simple frame, normal glass and simple mounting- the original pre-coupon price was well over $600! Ive had a lot of things framed over the years and this was by far the priciest. I would have walked out if I hadnt had two small children in tow (and continue to kick myself for not doing so) and I will be trying everyone else in town before I ever come back - again, because of the highly inflated price.

They are the only fabric store, but seem convinced their clientele is there first and foremost to rip them off. Its not a very welcoming atmosphere. I drive across town to get to their competitors store.

Horrible service. Its like the employees are doing you a favor by helping you. One older, white haired lady has NO IDEA what shes doing. Theres an older, bigger lady who is rude as can be. She practically spits when she talks to you. Ive heard them complain about people using coupons! Everything is so marked up, you have to use coupons!Update to say there is now a male that works here who is equally as rude!
